HOSTING SELF SUFFICIENT CAMPERS ONLY - A tranquil grassroots camp nestled in a natural bush setting. Enjoy unspoiled treetop views, coastal breezes, and the diverse wildlife that inhabits the surroundings.
50 acres of natural vegetation at various stages of regeneration.
The camp is close to beach landscapes (3kms) , tidal saltwater creeks (4km), and estuaries, renowned for fishing, crabbing, and 4WD adventures. Situated near the sand track to Agnes Water, day trips are both fun and interesting. The maintained boat ramp (Flat Rock Picnic Area) is just 4 km away, providing a relaxing experience on the water.
Access to Rules Beach is available during low tide only, offering opportunities for exploring rock pools and observing sea life. Travel north to the Broadwater or south to the mouth of Baffle Creek for a scenic drive.
Rules Beach is a nesting ground for several species of endagered marine sea turtles. The Bushcamp is headquarters for Rules Beach Turtles, a volunteer run NFP association dedicated to the preservation and protection of these species. They nest on the beach from November to March each year. Our nest monitoring program runs at this time.
Experience morning sunrise over the beach and sunset through the treetops. If you seek almost unspoiled nature, abundant birdlife, and the serenity nature offers, Rules Beach is the perfect destination.

A huge 350 acres to explore where you will find waterways, billabongs, hills, dams, mango trees and more.
Walk through the seasonal creek, easily accessed at the Mango Grove, and see a lot of Quartz and other rocks.
While exploring you could find Kangaroos, Echidnas, Goannas and many bird and plant species.
Did we mention Gin Gin is only about 15 minutes away? So there's no need to worry if you need more Ice or Food! And if your interested in a day getting wet, Paradise Dam is only 40 minutes away.
The area does have some places that we do not allow visitors due to needing clearing and cleaning. Please be mindful to stay away from the areas with 'junk'. We are trying to clear the place to turn it into somewhere magical and we appreciate your understanding until this occurs.

We loved our stay at Breathe at Rules Beach.
Camp ground is located on top a small ridge with cool sea breezes & ovean views through the trees. Camp sites are large, flat & grassy with plenty of space between sites.
We originally booked five nights but stayed an extra 2 nights, loved the access to Mitchell creek perfect for Kayaks & small boats.
Would like to thank our host Camille she was allways very responsive and very helpfull.

We had the best time at our campsite. So many bird species and loved the cattle.
We had plenty of space for our 2 vehicles and a lovely view of both the land and sea.
We took a brief stroll down to the fishing area which is small but lovely. Take not though the sand flies are ferocious so put bug spray on first. Also spotted an Emu and a beautiful red belly snake, which we didn’t disturb. Rules is so close to plenty of fishing and also the beach. Definitely coming back.

Absolutely perfect spot. Not only is it well maintained, its set out that even if you were not the only campers there its extremely private. We were lucky enough to have the properly to ourselves.
Local cattle was pretty funny and exquisitive. Bugs are not even an issue with the creek being so close either.
Crabs in the creek, and even a few small cod and bream.
Owners were more than helpful with any questions and issues. Highly recommend and will return.

This property was everything we wanted and more. We spent a very busy week down SE QLD so we were looking for tranquility and that's what we got. The only campers there for our two night stay which is exactly what the doctor ordered. The tree swing was a bonus. The cows were very inquisitive licking our van and solar blanket but very cute to see many calves and plenty of wildlife. Beach was only a 5 min drive and the nearest pub only 15 mins. We will definitely be back in 2026. Thanks Camille for opening your property to us 🙏

Nice spot for a night or 2 I walked everywhere we could, with dog, and had run out of tracks on the second day Available area is much less then 360 acres Some interesting sights and lots of birds and other wildlife. Quite pleasant with water in the dams

Very easy to book, easy navigate to with Googke maps. The guys were extremely friendly and even brought fire wood straight to my camp-site. Slight technical issue with the front gate opening in the morning, but nothing to to get upset about. All round it was a beautiful spot to camp with fantastic facilities to utilise, easily worth the price and will definitely be staying again on my travels.

Stayed 3 nights and loved it. The sun rises directly ahead over the ocean in Spring and it's so beautiful. We took the canoe for a paddle through the mangroves which was cool. We were glad we took the gazebo though as there wasn't much shade in the spot we camped and the sun was blazing. Really nice spot though and the bird life is awesome.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful ocean view site. The location is incredibly convenient yet feels like a world away — all you hear are the sounds of birds and friendly farm animals. The views are stunning and the night sky was absolutely breathtaking for stargazing.
