CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles.

CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

Surrounded by National Parks and completely free of cars and traffic, this is a beautiful little retreat, perfect for a family or a group of friends to meet up and re centre. At Bar Point there are no shops or cafes so you must bring everything you need with you, basic pantry staples such as salt, pepper, cooking oil etc are provided.
Kayaks, fishing poles and crab pots provided.
Our own private residence is a separate apartment upstairs, there are no shared walls or internal stairs and you will have your own private entrance, however as it is a large, old wooden house you may at times hear us moving about upstairs, naturally we try to be as quiet as possible when we have guests visiting. We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our sauna deck is a shared area which guests are welcome to use, heating the sauna takes an hour or two, so just let us know and we will get it all ready for you with fresh towels, scented oils and branches of freshly cut lavender or wormwood to create a beautiful ambience.

We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. Our sauna deck is a shared area which guests are welcome to use, heating the sauna takes an hour or two, so just let us know and we will get it all ready for you with fresh towels, scented oils and branches of freshly cut lavender or wormwood to create a beautiful ambience.

Weekend Trip to Halifax Hill
Lovely shack creatively situated on a rocky outcrop beside the McDonald river.
It has all the charm of a yesteryear hideaway. It’s an experience not a polished hotel, think secret mountain recluse, take your book, your art stuff and a bottle of wine.
we loved the bush views and sounds, the location and the quirk!
Swimming in the river near by, zipping into town for a coffee or beer and enjoying the cute town of St Albans. Loved it so much we can’t wait to come back!

Great place! Just a few minutes from the Blue Mountains. We chose this spot because we spent the morning exploring and wanted somewhere close to relax, watch the sunset, and unwind and it was perfect. We absolutely loved it.
What I liked the most was the amount of space. The sites are very well spaced out, so you really get privacy. Each site has its own fire pit, and the hosts provide firewood, with the option to buy it from them or collect it yourself, which we thought was a fun little adventure.
They also have the most beautiful and friendly dogs! Michelle was incredibly attentive and welcoming, never rushed us with timing, and we were lucky enough to try her homemade garlic scones and garlic jam from the farm, they were absolutely delicious.
Even though the bathrooms are composting toilets (with sawdust), they were spotless and honestly felt hotel-level, with neatly folded towels and thoughtful amenities.
Highly recommended, we would definitely stay again!

It was an easy walk to the (very touristed) Scenic World. We just continued our walk to the Three Sisters Lookout, which was great in the late afternoon.

Views were indeed stunning, and we really enjoyed having their 2 roving pups come round for a scratch and ball throw every now and then. The smell of garlic in the air in certain parts of the farm also tickled us very much! During sunset, kangaroos sometimes bound through the brush and can be seen from the campsite.
Michelle and her partner are lovely and very helpful for any needs that might arise, we had a lovely chat with them and had a little impromptu tour of their garlic farm. Would absolutely recommend coming here for a little getaway.

Our stay at Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was amazing. We turned up after a full day of adventuring and it was the perfect spot to just relax and take in the view.
Michelle was such a generous host and made us feel really welcome. Even though there were other campers on the property, everyone had plenty of their own space and kept to themselves, so it still felt nice and private. The toilets were also great and kept really clean.
If you’re into garlic, you have to stay here. Michelle let us try some from the farm and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. It tastes so real and raw compared to what you get at the shops.
We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone and would love to come back again.

Gorgeous, quiet setting. Camp had communal sink and BBQ and excellent clean toilets and showers.
There are lots of cute wallabies and we saw the local wombat twice too 🥰
