Cameron's Falls is a historic site, the 'falls', really just gentle rapids, are the original river crossing site for horse drawn vehicles to travel from Port Macquarie/Wauchope inland to Beechwood and beyond. Today we are a hobby farm with cows, horses - we invite you to say hello, but please don't feed any of the animals. If we are here to greet you on arrival you can fill up with potable rain water at our cottage.
The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

"The Riverbank" is only 7.5 kilometres and an easy 8 minute drive off the M1. The rich green land supports a small beef raising enterprise and the cattle graze in surrounding paddocks. YOU MUST ARRIVE BEFORE SUNSET

The Abundance Nursery and Cafe with it's splendid lily pond view is a great spot to enjoy a meal or a coffee and only 3 kms back along Rawdon Island road.
The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era.
Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops.
A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through.
Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away.
And then; there's Port Macquarie (20 mins) and sorrounds! one of the most scenic and attraction packed areas of Australia's eastern seaboard. Stunning beaches, amazing walks, top class restaurants, the list goes on.

There are five major camping locations with many other camping locations that you may like to choose for yourself. You may choose to camp near the cattle yards close to the creek, near the horses or high up on the hill to catch the views of the property.
4WD vehicles & high clearance caravans are recommended and able to camp throughout the property and are recommended. 2WD wheel drive vehicles are able to camp at locations earlier in the property.

Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

A 5 acre area is set aside accommodating a maximum of 4 caravans and or motorhomes so that you are well away from other campers. As per the reviews its very peaceful and ideally located close to the town, beaches and other attractions within the general area.
As we are located on the North Shore of Port Macquarie, and to access the property you must cross the river using the Settlement Point Ferry
The Hibbard Ferry operates (6am - 10am / 2pm-7pm) Mon -Fri and all day on Saturdays and Sundays is only 300 m from the campsite, making it easy to pop into town, explore Port Macquarie’s attractions, or visit the region’s wineries. For longer stays, a discounted ferry pass can be purchased on your behalf.
NOTE THERE IS A COST WHEN USING THE FERRY
North Shore Beach is a 5-minute drive away, and the local gin distillery is just a 15–20 minute drive up Maria River Road.

It's off-grid stuff - no power, no showers, little to no phone reception but one of the most peaceful places you can experience.
There will sometimes be cattle in the paddock - so to make this plain there could be cow poo around your area. If that is a worry to you, it's best you camp on a farm without livestock. If you do camp with us, and our cows are in the paddock, they are friendly and won't hurt you, though they can be quite inquisitive. We endeavor to keep our moo friends in other paddocks, but this is a working farm and we have to manage our pastures and put our animals where they are able to be safe and have enough food to stay healthy.
If you're here at the right time of year, you might catch a Bass or see a Platypus (but only if you're very, very quiet). There is a lot of bird life (Kingfishers, Wrens, Finches amongst others), reptiles (water dragons and lace monitors), and - of course - our farm animals.
Getting away from it all starts right here at Oakvale Cattle Farm.

Our property spans 177 acres, including 17 acres of open green pasture where you can settle into a spot that feels right for your camp within the allocated area. There’s plenty of sunshine for solar setups, and space to slow down and unwind.
We also have access to Queens Lake via a scenic trail you can walk or drive, offering a peaceful spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, or a quiet afternoon of fishing. Grants Beach is just across the road from our driveway, where you can swim, surf, fish, or enjoy 4WD access along the coastline.
We welcome you to find a place to set up and enjoy the land, while respecting the following:
- Bookings are per site/vehicle, not per group size. Each booking includes up to 6 guests and 1 vehicle only. Groups travelling with multiple vehicles must make a separate booking for each vehicle (even if total guest numbers are within the limit).
- All campers must be self-contained with their own power, water, and waste management.
- Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Due to the bush fire danger period, campfires are not permitted from 1st October to 31st March. From 1st April, all fires must be contained in a firepit.

If we are here to greet you on arrival you can fill up with potable rain water at our cottage.
The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. As we are located on the North Shore of Port Macquarie, and to access the property you must cross the river using the Settlement Point Ferry
The Hibbard Ferry operates (6am - 10am / 2pm-7pm) Mon -Fri and all day on Saturdays and Sundays is only 300 m from the campsite, making it easy to pop into town, explore Port Macquarie’s attractions, or visit the region’s wineries. For longer stays, a discounted ferry pass can be purchased on your behalf.
NOTE THERE IS A COST WHEN USING THE FERRY
North Shore Beach is a 5-minute drive away, and the local gin distillery is just a 15–20 minute drive up Maria River Road.

It's off-grid stuff - no power, no showers, little to no phone reception but one of the most peaceful places you can experience.
There will sometimes be cattle in the paddock - so to make this plain there could be cow poo around your area. If that is a worry to you, it's best you camp on a farm without livestock. If you do camp with us, and our cows are in the paddock, they are friendly and won't hurt you, though they can be quite inquisitive. We endeavor to keep our moo friends in other paddocks, but this is a working farm and we have to manage our pastures and put our animals where they are able to be safe and have enough food to stay healthy.
If you're here at the right time of year, you might catch a Bass or see a Platypus (but only if you're very, very quiet). There is a lot of bird life (Kingfishers, Wrens, Finches amongst others), reptiles (water dragons and lace monitors), and - of course - our farm animals.

Spend your days exploring the New South Wales North Coast – whether that be beaches, lakes, rivers, waterfalls or bush walking trails. There’s no shortage of local wineries, fresh produce to forage or award-winning restaurants nearby to dine at. Beach lovers can rejoice with ample beach space to throw down a towel, including the aptly named Rainbow Beach which stretches for three kilometers from right outside your holiday park’s door.
When you’re not exploring what lies beyond the park’s perimeter, explore what’s on offer within the park – pool, splash park and mini golf course, just to name a few.

Welcome to Wild Hope Farm!
We are a developing off-grid farm, located at Grants Beach, minutes from the beautiful Bonny Hills and just 25 minutes south of Port Macquarie. So close to surrounding towns, yet wonderfully secluded, we’re nestled amongst lush bushland with resident kangaroos, wallabies, and abundant birdlife. We consider our land a truly unique place and offer an ideal setting for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.
Please note: Bookings are per site/vehicle - 1 booking includes up to 6 guests and 1 vehicle only. Multiple vehicles require separate bookings.
Our property spans 177 acres, including 17 acres of open green pasture where you can settle into a spot that feels right for your camp within the allocated area. There’s plenty of sunshine for solar setups, and space to slow down and unwind.
We also have access to Queens Lake via a scenic trail you can walk or drive, offering a peaceful spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, or a quiet afternoon of fishing. Grants Beach is just across the road from our driveway, where you can swim, surf, fish, or enjoy 4WD access along the coastline.
We welcome you to find a place to set up and enjoy the land, while respecting the following:
- Bookings are per site/vehicle, not per group size. Each booking includes up to 6 guests and 1 vehicle only. Groups travelling with multiple vehicles must make a separate booking for each vehicle (even if total guest numbers are within the limit).
- All campers must be self-contained with their own power, water, and waste management.
- Pets are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Due to the bush fire danger period, campfires are not permitted from 1st October to 31st March. From 1st April, all fires must be contained in a firepit.

We had an amazing time staying at bundilla. We booked size 1 with power and from the moment we drove in and saw the camp grounds we were hyped. The grounds are so beautifully kept and very spacious. The farm tour is an absolute must! We went twice whilst on our trip and our kids fell in love with all the animals Cheryl was an amazing host and made us all feel very welcome. It was the best place for our little family we created so many memories and kyaking something none of us had ever done was a blast! We also got to bring our fur baby along with us and I think he even had an amazing time. Thankyou so much Rick & Cheryl we had the best time and will definitely be back soon!

We absolutely loved coming out to Bundilla River Camp. It was a beautiful location on the river, well maintained spaces with great amenities (the stickers on the toilet are hilarious), heaps of extras for the kids and adults to keep busy (the kayaks were lots of fun) and enough space for privacy. Cheryl is a cracker, and the farm tour was 110% worth it. The goat wearing the Mexican man was the highlight. Can’t wait to come back soon.

We had a great 4 night stay at Bundilla. The river was great for the kids. We all loved swimming and making use of the onsite kayaks. Pit toilets were very handy. Daily farm animal feeding was a highlight! Beautiful spot, lots of space. We can't wait to go back. Thanks Cheryl & Rick!

What a great spot. With eggs delivered as well!! We just stayed the one night on beautiful grass. Water was available to fill the van. Great spot for swim in the creek. Fire pit. Quiet. Although there was only a couple of other vans spread out. Would stay again.

Awesome spot to camp for a few nights. The kids enjoyed the farm feeding each day and Cheryl was very helpful. The river was great to cool off in and we all enjoyed the use of the kayaks. We will definitely be back.

We had such a great stay here and will definitely be back. The property has heaps of space, so you’re not on top of other campers, and the grass is lush, green, and really well looked after — perfect for setting up and letting the kids run around.
The swimming hole was a standout. Super clean, refreshing, and an awesome spot to cool off during the day. The two pit toilets were also a pleasant surprise — both were clean, well maintained, and clearly looked after regularly.
What really made the stay though were the hosts. They go above and beyond, delivering firewood straight to your site and even offering fresh eggs, which was a great touch. You can tell they genuinely care about the experience.
The kids absolutely loved it too — feeding the animals each day was a highlight and something they’re still talking about.
All up, a really relaxed, family-friendly spot with great hosts and everything you need for a quality camping trip.

It has to be one of the best places I have stayed. Perfect for the young kids, plenty to do without the usual technology and the feeding of the animals was exciting for them and me.

We stayed in a tent at Pear Tree Farm and absolutely loved the experience. It was very green, peaceful, and well-maintained. The nature-inspired design of the bathrooms and sinks was especially impressive. I also enjoyed the veggie patch around our campsite.

We loved camping at Riverbank-Pasture site 4. It was flat, level and not too far from the amazing camp kitchen and amenities block-the best, cleanest, modern and most elaborate we’ve ever encountered on hip camp. The camp allows only 4 campsites which were spaced out well giving privacy and space between campers. Beautiful views over the river, quiet and serene. Matt, the host was extremely welcoming ensuring we knew all about the site and answered all of our questions. Top spot. We’ll definitely be back.

I booked sites 8 and 7 for Easter long weekend and Bundilla is a great place to relax as it is close to home and easy to get to. Thanks to all Cheryl’s hard work the property is kept beautiful and the drop toilets are kept cleaned daily. The friendliness of Cheryl and her daughter (who cooks fresh baked biscuits) is a real bonus along with fresh eggs available for purchase. This is my 2nd camp here and certainly won’t be my last. Keep up the excellent work!!
