We had a great time camping at Camp Jolly Nose. It was super nice and peaceful, conveniently located only a short drive from the beach, lake and facilities (ie shops) but far enough out that there was no traffic, no noise, no one else to bother you. It's not a huge property but we were able to camp away from view of others (for the most part). Finding a level spot is the biggest challenge, but there are several decent spots around, you just have to hunt a little bit. We didn't realise there was a turning bay on the first drive past and I misinterpreted the instructions, so had to turn around further up and come back, so be aware that this exists if you are towing a larger van as it is SUPER helpful and I don't think we'd have gotten around that corner without it. The hosts were very kind and accommodating of a special request we needed, and accommodated us last minute which we were exceptionally grateful for. We extended our stay upon seeing our beautiful and serene the spot was. Thanks for having us and we hope to be back!

Nice and private, ok for large caravans but need levelling. Beautiful outlook of nature and Cows, horses and kangaroos we can see. Close to Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills. We will be back!

Great spot. Nice and quiet. Not the flattest but there are heaps of areas to park on and level your caravan up.
Getting through the gate was a mission with my truck and 22ft van. You do have a u turn area but that was too tight for us. We had to do a 3point turn to get in with van. In and out with truck only is easy as. But other than that, it was amazing! I would stay again and recommend to others

Camp Jolly Nose is a lovely peaceful block (cicadas included) tucked away from what can be a very busy Bonny Hills. It is only minutes to the beach, shops and restaurants and can easily be used as a base station (like we did) or a sole destination if you are looking for some peace and quiet.
The block is slightly sloping, so if you have a van, take your levelling ramps.
It is easy to find and access around the turning loop can be a bit of an adventure, however it is perfectly achievable if you take your time and go slowly over the bumps.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is set up to be self sufficient.
The price is more than reasonable for the location.

Overall it was great, just may be difficult the access for the standard cars as mine was towed because one of the har rock hit the motor ( just an advice) beside that I loved my night there.

Absolutely peaceful tranquil and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. The cows were just darling and inquisitive, my dog had the most beautiful interaction with a cow who took a liking to her and licked her face as she had her head under the fence, she loved it! I turned up at around 330pm and there was a family of Kangaroos in the far corner nibbling away. It was a really gorgeous soundscape in the evening too. Highly recommend this hipcamp people, get onto it!

My husband and I booked a very spontaneous overnight stay with our two rambunctious boys to take our new Opus trailer for a spin. Terry and Leesa have created a peaceful and secluded space surrounded by gumtrees and wildlife. With the calm of the night you can even hear the crashing of waves. Bike tracks, shops, pubs and cafes only minutes away.
