Nestled on 120 acres of private riverfront along the pristine Wilson River, Watt Family Farm River Sanctuary offers a rare escape into nature. This exclusive, self-sufficient sanctuary is designed for discerning campers seeking seclusion, tranquility, and breathtaking beauty. With just one campsite on the entire property, guests enjoy unrivaled privacy and an intimate connection to nature that few places can offer. Greet the Estate’s homegrown cattle and horses as they graze peacefully in open paddocks. Light a campfire under the stars. Wander along the riverbank. Wake to birdsong and golden light filtering through the trees. Throw in a line from the private rustic jetty. Spend your days splashing in the river, kayaking along calm bends, towing a donut behind the boat or simply unwinding beneath towering river oak. Mark and Tracey Watt are the custodians of this property along the Wilson, building a life rooted in hard work, rural heritage, and deep respect for the natural environment. Alongside their renowned cutting horse program (Australian Cutting Horse Co.), the property also supports their paddock-to-plate cattle program and a handful of chickens, creating a vibrant, working landscape full of life and purpose. With an entire riverfront to yourself, you’ll enjoy complete privacy—no other campers, no shared spaces, just you, the river, and the wilderness. Your exclusive riverside campsite is set in a picturesque clearing along the Wilson River, surrounded by native bushland and open paddocks. Whether you’re setting up a canvas bell tent, swags, or a self-contained camper, there's ample space to spread out, unwind, and reconnect with nature. 🔥 Authentic Farm Fare at Riverfront Sanctuary 🔥 At Riverfront Sanctuary, your camping experience comes with a true taste of the land. Enjoy tender, homegrown steak, handcrafted sausages free from fillers or nasties, and freshly laid farm eggs, all raised and produced right here on the property. With firewood provided, you can cook your own paddock-to-plate meal over the open fire, just as it was // Self-Sufficiency Camp Essentials // To preserve the pristine environment and support a low-impact footprint, guests must be fully self-sufficient. This includes bringing your own: - Toilet and shower facilities - Drinking and washing water - Cooking equipment and waste disposal There are no shared amenities on-site —this is part of the unique appeal of the River Sanctuary: an uninterrupted, off-grid escape for those who value independence and minimal interference. // Getting There: On-Site Access // Someone will always be here to help, but here's how to access your site: 1. Drive through the main farm gate off the old highway, straight past the sheds, where you'll find entry to the paddocks. Follow a scenic track that winds through the property down to the river’s edge. 2. Along the way, you may pass livestock or horses, so we kindly ask guests to close every gate behind them to ensure the safety and well-being of all animals. Once you're settled, you’re free to explore and enjoy: Peaceful walks along the river Visiting with friendly cattle and horses Campfires under the stars (when permitted) Swimming, kayaking, fishing or boating in the Wilson River Beyond the farm, day trips to Telegraph Point (2 mins) and Port Macquarie (20km to the centre of town) offer everything from country charm to coastal adventures, gourmet food, and boutique wine.

Riverfront Sanctuary
We had a fantastic time. Camp was lovely, tidy and very spaceous. We loved that we had the camp all to ourselves. Mark and Tracey were great host, very welcoming. We just spent seven days, went so quickly and did not want to leave. We spent our days kyaking, fishing, swimming and Crabbing and relaxing. We also purchased a farm to fork meat pack. OMG the meat and the eggs were delicious. We would highly recommend this camp to relax and enjoy the outdoors and especially having the camp all to yourself.

Riverfront Sanctuary
Mark & Tracey were great hosts and their farm is lovely. We were lead to a nice, grassy flat spot right in front of the river with plenty of room for our camper van and annex. Fire pit ready to go with supplied wood and kayaks was great. The access was easy and also easy to find. There is the odd train passing nearby and some road noise on occasion from a distance but the view of the river and the overall outlook was pretty and peaceful. Would definitely recommend!

Riverfront Sanctuary
Mark and Tracey were super accommodating, we were booked for a weekend after a few weeks of downpour. Mark and Tracey went out of their way to ensure we still had somewhere to camp in not so camping weather. The location is perfect for those not wanting to be too separated from society (able to run into Port to grab some extra supplies if needed), but still far enough to feel like youre away from the rest of the world. We will definitely book again in the future

Riverfront Sanctuary
It was such a pleasure to be one of the few lucky ones to experience this beautiful, private Riverfront Sanctuary. You truly get the whole place to yourself—it was incredible. We were greeted by Elitia at the gate, who kindly handed us our pre-ordered steak, eggs, and sausages upon arrival. They also provide kayaks and life jackets if you're up for some river fun, and there’s a convenient stash of firewood on-site, which came in super handy. Oh, and let’s not forget the three adorable dogs—Ruby, Terry, and Scout—who might drop by to say hi. They were such a lovely surprise! If you love being close to the river and value your privacy, this spot is a hidden gem. I’d definitely recommend it to all my friends.
