You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-) Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down. BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended. ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

These best describe this 754 hectare (1864 acres) property. Stonepine Ridge is 'remote' - your camp sites are away from any dwellings - but you are still close enough to country towns across borders. There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

Harper Farms is a fourth generation, family owned cattle property out of the small township of Cangai; just 50 minutes west of Grafton. Located along the Mann River, just one kilometre off the Gwydir Highway, campers will find easy access to our riverfront site. The property is bordered by the Dandahra Creek and the Mann River, and boasts a variety of native bird and wildlife; peacocks, platypus, ducks and the occasional pelican to name a few. The Mann River is open to fishing November - July; and is a local favourite as a kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and swimming destination. Beef cattle and stock horses have been run continuously on the property since the early 1900s, and our friendly horses and cows will often pay a visit to the campsite. Along with our working dogs, we also run a small breeding kennel of Golden Retrievers and Border Collies. Dogs are always welcome on the farm, and we simply ask that camp visitors keep them under their control during their stay. A small shop with basic amenities (groceries, camp supplies, fishing bait, fuel) is located at Jackadgery; a 15 minutes drive east on the Gwydir Highway. To the west of Harper Farms lies the Gibraltar Range which hosts Washpool National Park with walking trails, waterfalls, rainforest and swimming areas. Away from the city lights, the Cangai area offers exceptional stargazing and is popular with keen astronomers and photographers. Our property currently hosts one large campsite; ideal for family and large group gatherings. Booking the site includes complete privacy for your group whether large or small. Weekend Trip to Rosella Park

On this review I would like to give big shout for those farmers like Matt who open up their land for people such as ourselves who love to get a taste of bush camping. The weather was not on our side on this trip as we had some strong winds. However, we really enjoyed it. So I can only imagine it being even better when the weather is good. Matt is a really good host a with great communication and directions and came down to introduce himself us shortly after arriving. The site was very private open and spacious with a number of spots to pitch a tent. Fire wood was provided with a nice designated spot to enjoy an evening fire to sit around. Our dog was free to be offf leash within the campsite (which is quite big) and enjoyed running around playing ball. There are Kayaks and Tinnie available for use which was nice to have ago on. This one is on our list to return to. Thanks for a great stay Matt.

2 nights at The Ranch on Clarence

One of the most welcoming, warm and peaceful spots we have been to. Shanti is such an amazing host who instantly made us feel part of the family but also allowed us our space and time to enjoy her stunning property. Having the horses come to the campsite and literally under the caravan awning was an amazing experience and they made themselves at home around the campfire. They are so well looked after and extremely friendly. We will be back as soon as we can.

This is a beautiful place, we were alone there in a huge paddock with lots of spots to choose from right next to Bluff Rock. The ground is reasonably level and good. Some cows were nearby in taller grass.

Total peace! Spectacular camp sites, views all round, wildlife and quiet! As people that live in the bush we just loved this spot, it's everything you want for a get away from it all. Brilliant hosts left us wood for our fire and share the magic of their land. We will definitely be back to this spot. Highly recommend!

1 night at Sawyers Rest.

We loved our stay at Sawyers Rest. We ended up having the property to ourselves, which made it feel even more relaxing. It’s a peaceful spot with flat camping areas and plenty of space. The creek was great. We spent a lot of time down there kayaking, fishing and sitting by the water. Our doggos had a ball, there’s heaps of room for them to explore, and they also loved the creek Overall, it was quiet, private and easy. We’d definitely stay again!

We stayed on Kendall's lovely rural property with our caravan and 2 dogs for a night on a road trip home recently. Our contact with Kendall was perfect as was the location...alongside a dam where except for some drizzle we would have had a fire. The location is peaceful and quiet...exactly what we were seeking. We have a 24' van and had not problem accessing the camping area. Highly recommended.

2 nights at Binghi Station

We have left on our working trip around Australia in November, we are from a rural FNQ town and since leaving we have struggled to find many remote camping spots like we have at home. We stumbled across Binghi station last minute and decided to book and glad we did because it’s the best Hip camp we have had since starting our trip. It’s a beautiful remote station, with beautiful swimming spots, we were the only campers on the station (mid week) and Adrian and his family were super lovely, nothing was a hassle and it was laid back. We towed our 22ft off road caravan and had no issues and didn’t find the drive in too rough, although we have taken our caravan to some gnarly areas. We will try and get back and camp at the gorge next time with some friends and our swags. Also bonus point for being pet friendly, which seems rare around NSW, our dog is use to being around cattle, so was fine around the sheep. Thank you Adrian and family for hosting us 😊

We had a great 3 night stay! The kayaks and the boat were a great addition and we did plenty of swimming over the weekend. A little uneven but we made it work with our group strategically placing our vans and campers. Close to Stanthorpe. Very private and lovely having the whole place to ourselves. Matt was very easy to communicate with. Will definitely be back!

The property has many patches of native bush and good native ground cover which was lovely to see for a grazing enterprise. Camping circles with fire pits are simple and effective. Pit toilet is a great bonus feature for those of us who don’t have our own in van. It was hot in the early afternoon but shade could be found. Unfortunately no swimming spots for humans - only the dogs (who loved it!)
