What a beautiful place. We could easily have lingered longer. We saw an Echidna, a Platypus and masses of Birds. We would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at Sawyers Rest. Such a peaceful and quiet spot in an amazing location right by the water. Having the whole property to ourselves made it feel incredibly private and was exactly the kind of getaway we were looking for.
Sam was a great host and always responded within minutes whenever we had a question leading up to our stay, which made everything really easy.
Great surroundings, plenty of space and the perfect place to switch off and enjoy being away from everything for a few days. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful secluded spot we had to ourselves on a peaceful creek. Platypus in the creek, visiting kangaroos, cows and even a horse! Night time skies are spectacular for stargazing.

Very Peacefull and quiet. Good place to relax beside the creek.
We very much enjoyed our time at Sam's place. Creekside and the Flats are the same cleared area....both with good access to the creek which was much larger than we expected. Good for kayaks.
Stayed for 5 days and were by ourselves throughout. Very quiet with prolific birdlife.
Access is via a couple of kms of sound gravel road....dry creek crossing at the edge of the camping area.
Highly recommended....we have added it to our favourites list.

Had a great night, very relaxing.
Nice and isolated spot by the creek.
Fantastic spot to set up and enjoy the peace and quiet. I understand there's two sites, but I was the only one there and rolling solo - incredibly serene.
The river is lovely for a dip and attracts so much wildlife. You will see kangaroos aplenty and many different bird species. It is really satisfying just to sit and watch nature at play.
Sam (the host) was very responsive and helpful. There was a forecast for inclement weather, so they offered to comp the fee if I couldn't make it to the site.
The site is accessible by 2WD, but maybe a bit rough if you're in a low-set car (eg hatchback), and could be a bit lairy if a lot of rain came down at once.
Strongly recommend. I can see myself going back there - would be especially enjoyable with a crew.

We loved our stay at Sawyers Rest. We ended up having the property to ourselves, which made it feel even more relaxing. It’s a peaceful spot with flat camping areas and plenty of space.
The creek was great. We spent a lot of time down there kayaking, fishing and sitting by the water. Our doggos had a ball, there’s heaps of room for them to explore, and they also loved the creek
Overall, it was quiet, private and easy. We’d definitely stay again!
