Escape the crowds at Valley Heights a rural property with a mix of grassed areas and untouched bushland only 8k's out of Texas. Heaps of room for any size caravan, camper or tent. Private campsites with amazing views and more open spots with easier access. Farm dam with plenty of birdlife. Valley Heights camp paddock is about 350 acres for you to enjoy, whether you want to sit back and relax or go exploring. Maybe hike the surrounding hills or to the sunset lookout, (you can drive your 4WD if hiking is not your thing). Your doggo can swim in the dam as well. The surrounding area has many attractions to explore. Bonshaw Weir is only a 10 minute drive and Glenlyon Dam a scenic 35 minutes. Texas town caters to the traveler well with tourist attractions, a dump and water point as well as a well provisioned Foodworks and a number of cafes.

Grassy flat is an area that has been cleared and slashed near our beautiful new dam. Easy access for all but the lowest of vehicles. Choose your own spot. Fire pits available with wood supplied. This site is beside a gully that sometimes has water holes and runs into a large dam where you can have a swim or just enjoy the view. Some shade available. Suitable for groups. It is a easy camp to just pull in for the night or make it a base while you explore the local area.

Escape the crowds on our property which is situated 8 km's out of Texas Qld with some of the most amazing views overlooking the Dumaresq Valley. We love to share this serenity with like minded people who can sit back and enjoy the peace and privacy. Bush walking, birdwatching or take a hike in our hills, make it a safe base while you explore the surrounding areas. You will need to be self sufficient as at this stage we have no facilities at this site. Firewood supplied. For those that need mobile reception both Telstra and Optus (limited) are available at this site.

Easy to find and follow directions. Even though it was drought at the time, the camp was very pleasant. Plenty of kangaroos about. It was great sitting beside the camp fire and watching the moon come up.

What a great set-up at Valley Heights Texas QLD Bush Camp. We rolled in after 7 hours on the motorbikes, set up the tents, lit the fire, and relaxed. Firewood, BBQ, and even fresh eggs made this site perfect for a ride and Camp location.

Amazing camping spot, super easy to find with reflecters on gate and mail box, heaps of room, at the first camping spot super flat and tidy, there is a great little look out to go up to although wouldnt recomend the look out in a 2WD, had heaps of firewood avaliable and the host were easy to contact and very fast to reply, really enjoyed the stay here and we had the area to our self, great value for the price. Heaps of wildlife, emu, kangroos and birds.

We loved our time here. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. Toilets onsite were nice and clean and the view over the dam was gorgeous. The free firewood was awesome. We took a drive to the lookout and spotted deer and kangaroos. Our fur baby loved it as well. Great place to rest and relax for a few days and close to town.

A most relaxing atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly friendly and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. It would be a fantastic spot for a big group or a couple wanting to get away from the noise of life.

My husband and I spent two nights here with our dog in our caravan. A beautiful, quiet spot that was full of wildlife! Incredible sunsets, dam swims, and total peace and quiet. Highly recommend, and such a cheap option!

What a beautiful area with stunning views. The hosts are very accommodating and keep the area really clean and tidy. Plenty of wildlife around and hills to explore. The area we camped was so nice and secluded it felt like we were on our own private property. Incredible place and experience cannot wait to get back to Valley Heights!

Entire Grassy Flat Group Area
What a gem. A beautiful peaceful, private bush camp. A large grassed area beside a big dam. Open spaces and an area amongst pine trees. Take your pick. Clean toilets and a great rustic shed. Plenty of good quality wood supplied. Wonderful hosts. Kangaroos, deer, emus, and birds abound. Magnificent sunsets over the water.

Great space. Lovely views and you get mobs of roos pass by, a quick visit from the horses in the morning,and plenty of stars and wildlife in the evening/night. Our 2 dogs loved the swim in the dam. Not far from the small town with all you need. Very private. We were only campers on site for 2 nights 😁. Firepits supplied and an interesting drop toilet. Land was flat enough for our caravan. Choose carefully when you come as there a lot of bindies, unfortunate for our dogs but we know now. Definitely would book here again, loved it.
