Llandillo is a picturesque 700 acre property located 11 kms from Emmaville, and 55kms from Glen Innes in the northern New England region. It has 2kms of Severn river access along its southern boundary, which offers great fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. We run a small sheep farming enterprise on the northern more open half of the property, and the southern part running down to the river is natural bushland. Activities include fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking, fossicking, bird watching or getting to know some of our much adored farm animals. We offer accommodation in our a two-bedroom cabin. Our homely cabin offers a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the trees. Our cabin includes one double bed, two single beds and two double lounges that turn into sofa beds. We have a friendly old Wallaroo who lives around the cabin. Many other wallaby’s and kangaroos can be seen from the windows. It is a great place to relax reading a good book, catch up on well deserved rest or use as a base for outdoor activities. The cabin also has a large firepit out the back where our guests are welcome to have a campfire or cook a meal over the coals. Firewood will be supplied. There is a picnic area with a large open firepit and toilet just meters from the waters edge. Many unique animals have been seen at the river, including spotted Quolls, Platypus, fireflies, Deer, Goats, Kangaroos, wallabies and many species of birds. Guests are able to walk the entire 2km of river fishing or just enjoying the free flowing water. Nine times out of ten Murray Cod are caught along any part of the river on our fishing adventures. BYO fishing gear. Catch and release is appreciated however if guests would like to keep one to eat, they are welcome. Thankyou for reading, we would love to see you at Llandillo soon.

Enjoy fishing, swimming and paddling around in the crystal clear water or just sit back and take in the spectacular views across Sundown National Park and the Mole River Valley. Be in two states at the same time, with the river the border between Qld and NSW. Enjoy the abundant wildlife in the region include an incredible array of bird life and even, on occasion, the reclusive platypus. Go boating and fishing (with a permit) on the Glenlyon Dam. Explore Sundown National Park (10km away) or spend a day (or 2) visiting the numerous wineries, orchards and sites around the Granite Belt, including Giraween and Bald Rock National Parks. Previously used as a veterinary building for stud Angora goats, now transformed into ‘The Vet Shed’. Our 2 bedroom accommodation is the ideal base to explore from, featuring open plan living/dining/kitchen, ample outdoor space including a firepit, it comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. Bonalbo Key Ridge is a stunning, secluded 700-acre property that borders Yabbra National Park. The estate features over 200 acres of native forest, creeks, several swimming holes, and an extensive network of walking trails. The two adjoining houses are constructed from timber logs and beams, all harvested from the property itself. The accommodation includes kitchen facilities, a hot shower, and a toilet. Limited Wi-Fi is available on-site (10 GB), and there is a Telstra tower on the hill for those using that network. Explore the beauty of Bean Creek Falls, venture into Yabbra National Park, or enjoy the extensive trails that wind through the property. Guests are welcome to explore the property by 4WD or on foot. The entire property is available for small functions, with accommodation for up to 14 people between the two houses and additional camping options. We’ve recently upgraded the house with a new septic tank and flushing toilet, replacing the old composting toilet. We had the most amazing time as a family. Jack, the donkey, was lovely and I cannot explain how exceptionally good the accomodation was. Sparkly clean, incredible beds and bedding, quality and quantity of towels unreal. The host was very hel0ful this is the perfect getaway ftom all the unnecessary noise of life. Thank you very much. Two days felt like an entire holiday. Buddy, our dog loved the freedom.

This property was everything I had hoped for. It was so spacious, the friendly donkey Jack, the sunset views, the fires at night and the spa outside. It was perfect. There are large stone blocks and a log to sit around the fire, we brought our camping chairs for a bit more comfort. The place was clean and had everything we needed as group of 7. We walked down to the dam to find worms and trecked down to the river to fish (no luck, just a small eel). The views are amazing. We had a visit from a black cat that seemed quite heightened and desperate to get inside, and I was a bit hesitant, but we were assured it was friendly.

Great location and staff were pleasant. We usually camp but for this weekend we decided to book a cabin. Very overpriced for a cabin with no toilet or shower and we were slugged an extra cleaning fee of $30 which was not disclosed when I paid and booked. We booked a pet friendly cabin. Would definitely return as a camper as it was a pet friendly park

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin and had friend who camped in a camper on the flat just out the front. Beautiful creek and river, plenty of area to explore and kids to use their imagination. Jess the host is lovely and very helpful. The cabin is cosy but with plenty of room for family’s. We plan visiting again in the future as we lovely it so much. Would highly recommended.

Shanti is a very welcoming host. The Bunkhouse is an experience on its own! Sleeps 9 pp, comfy matresses, a small fridge and an amazing covered outdoor seating area to enjoy a fire at night. Phantom, the stunning stallion, roams freely around the property. 3 hens, 1 roster and 5 friendly dogs complete the happy family. Other horses are across the road ready for a beautiful ride to the river, where you can get to swim with your horse. This is just an amazing adventure away from the croud, where kids (and big kids!) Can just relax and enjoy.

Weekend Trip to ‘Riversdale’

We really loved glamping at the vet shed. It was very luxurious with all the amenities, linen, wifi, fully functional kitchen, fire pit and bbq. Robyn was very helpful and responsive to messages. We really loved the fire place in the back yard. There was even a washing machine for washing clothes. Everything was so well thought of to ensure we had a comfortable and luxurious stay for e.g the kitchen had Milo, coffee, hot chocolate, cornflakes, pasta etc. The fridge had sauces, milk, cold water. Bathroom was very clean and had top of the range amenities. The view from the backyard is breath taking with the mountain ranges in the back ground and it was very private with no one around. The glenlyon dam is near by and there are some fishing spots and river access areas which Robyn had mapped for us. Robyn’s attention to finer details in making our stay extra comfortable is highly commendable. Highly recommend the vet shed.

What a beautiful part of NSW. We had a 1 yo, two 3 yo’s and four adults (and a pup) at the Shouse and the space was so perfect. Beautiful surroundings, clean clutter free interior which was perfect for little ones. Secure fence for the pup with a donkey friend to hang out with. Fire at night was amazing and the drive was pretty awesome too. Would definitely come again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

If travelling in a 2wd please contact us before booking, some of the campgrounds have to be reached by crossing the creeks, Girard camp is one of them where the office and the showers are, at times this crossing is under water and is only accessible by 4wd. Other campgrounds are available near the entry gate that don't require a creek crossing for access and toilets are available on some of them. One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Gerard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m deep waterfall, nature at it's best. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in the 90's was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. Find us on a large property on the banks of the Timbarra River, located 20 km / 30 min south of Drake Village (an old gold mining community). We share the property with lots of wildlife, and with our resident cows. There is currently only one camping site accessible by car (the River Block), but if you're up for a trek we can point you to the back hills where you'll find a whole other world. Your hosts live further back on the property so you can find us if you need help. Please note there is no mobile reception, so it is a great way to get away from it all. There are no bins here... please remove all your rubbish on departure. Campfires are welcome (when no fire ban). You can bring your own firewood, or gather what fallen timber you can find. There is currently no toilet, shower or drinking water so please bring your supplies. Pets possible on request.
