Singleton is about 30mins to the north and has a large shopping centre and many other attractions.
Cessnock is about 30 mins to the East, has a population of over 20,000 people and excellent facilities including a private airport.
Newcastle is about 1.5 hrs drive away and has a commercial airport and many other facilities of a large sea side city.
Wollombi is about 20min drive to the South and is one of the first areas settled in after Sydney. It has many items of historical significance including jail, museum, post office and Wollombi Tavern, the home of Dr Jurds Jungle Juice.
Sydney is about 2.5 - 3 hours south.

(for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 4yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening.
No leeches and No ticks in this area. NO close neighbors. Perfect spot to pitch your tent or set up your camper in the valley. Lots of sunshine and lots of shade. Easy dirt road access (6km) Some sites require/recommend 4WD -some 2WD is fine. Check with us before booking if needed.

The historic village of Wollombi is only 25 minutes away, and has cafes, shop, museum and the Wollombi Tavern. Yengo National Park has some wonderful look out spots-great to drive to Finchley lookout to watch the sun set or check out Aboriginal art sites.

Cabins are available on a daily rate or weekly depending on the length of your stay. We have a “NEW” resort-style pool with easy ramp access and camp kitchen facilities including stainless steel BBQs. We have a large amenities block a Disabled Toilet/Shower Facility and a large laundry facility. We are not a “PET FRIENDLY” Park in our Cabin Accommodation, but for Short Stays on Powered Sites we are “PET FRIENDLY”. We have Powered Sites with Concrete Slabs or Powered Grass Sites available and a large unpowered Camp Area for the tent lover.

Natalie was lovely, and the location was fantastic. I couldn't imagine being any closer to the wineries. The only thing worth noting is that the shade is limited, and there is only one toilet and shower on the campsite.

Beautiful property with some very cute animals!
Titan the husky is great company and stayed with us at camp which we were more than happy with. Loved the highland cows too! Would NOT recommend approaching them unless you are confident around large animals and understand animal behaviour; otherwise I recommend going with Luke and doing the feeding.

Lovely property, excellent facilities and wonderful hospitality. The caves and brook were lovely and there was plenty of open space for kids to kick a ball and ride bikes. There was some noise from the wedding nearby but the owners make that clear in the description and it didn't go too late. Recommended!

Quite the trek to get to the camp ground, a sturdy car needed with some focused driving, but how lovely it is once you’re there! So worth the effort, finding serenity with a gorgeous view and feel. The basic facilities worked for us, feeling disconnected from the world.
Ian and Sue made the effort to make sure we had got in safe. They were as warm and welcoming as they were helpful and informative, a pleasure to have met them.

Unfortunately had to cut my time a little short due to the weather but my time at Camp on Elderslie was fantastic. Dog friendly which is a must for me, super quiet and seems very isolated considering it’s less than 10mins from town. Bit of a walk to the river but well worth it, my doggo loved the water as did I. Will be looking to return in the next few months. Great Hipcamp. Enjoyed my time.

Hosts were very welcoming, friendly & helpful. They have created a great property with tucked away in nature options or out in a field with other people. I still had lots of privacy and the river is wonderful to take a dip in on a hot day. My dog Archie loved it too & will definitely be back.

Mira Wines only has two campsites, so absolutely no chance of overcrowding. Both are perched high on a well-maintained grassy hill and are surrounded by grapevines…and the views are amazing! We were only there two nights and had very busy days so we didn't get to experience anything else that the property has to offer, unfortunately.

I swear I sat down and wrote a review, but must have gotten lost.
Anyway, Luke and his farm are amazing. He is by far the best most gracious host I have ever met. You will have a co-pilot titan, but he is the sweetest pup around (fully grown)
The place is a little hard to find only if you don't read Luke's instructions (guess who didn') but within 5 min of me messaging him I will be late due to this not reading of instructions, he called me and got me to the property in 15 miuntes.
Upon arrival we chatted for at least 20 minutes about life and the property and the view, just amazing.
Would go back in a heartbeat!!!

What a fabulous location to set up your camp. Positioned at the top of the hill overlooking the vineyards and beyond. Well situated to visit the local wineries and restaurants. Iron gate and swinging tree wineries are very near by. Ana’s hospitality was friendly and inviting. We absolutely loved the tasting of her wines, limoncello and honey. Would definitely recommend for self sufficient campers.

Such a great spot to camp! The campground is immaculate, great facilities and such a lovely to unwind and spend some time with the family. The kids and the dog had a great time splashing around down at the river too. Highly recommend! We will be back
