Beautiful property, nestled in the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW.
Our river access is normally shallow, well-suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks.
We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space.
Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m.
IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking.

There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred.

We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area.

The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice!
We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water.
You can bring your dogs, but they must be on a leash at all times. We have three little puppies that love to roam their property. We lock them up sometimes but most of the time they are just running around having fun. Minimum of 2 dogs per booking and they must be noted on the booking.

Do not light a fire without approval from owners. Approval for a fire is dependent on weather, conditions, and restrictions. Fires must be kept small. No chainsaws or generators. No Pets. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space.
Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m.
IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking.

We’d definitely recommend this place! Debbie and Lambert were wonderful hosts, incredible welcoming and accommodating especially with our later check in. Debbie was available at all times for anything we needed and Lambert showed us around the amenities which included a very modern bathroom and kitchen inside a large shed that we were lucky to have to ourselves for two nights. Also had some games for the kids and a book of recommendations on things to explore around the area. Lots of mosquitoes though, bring repellent, you’ll need it.

Phil’s Jila campground is unreal. The river was refreshing. The available kids kayaks were a hit with the kids and dogs.
Great to have a fire, toilets well maintained and fresh eggs and produce available were delicious.
Also a great touch with the giant slide, soccer field and ninja ropes course.
Our group of families Loved it.
We will be back!

Nice and close to the M1, close to the town and a few breweries. Nice private spot, not close to other sites. Lisa and husband are very friendly and quick to respond. If you don’t have your own shower or toilet then I would only recommend a night or two here. We stayed one night to break up the drive and close to the M1 but the toilet and shower facilities is not something I’d want to use for more than a day.

Not too many campers, lovely hosts, clean bathrooms and hot showers. There are 2 walking trails but we didn't walk them.

What a wonderful place to getaway, setup camp and enjoy the surroundings. The toilets and showers are a bonus. The hosts are super friendly and extremely helpful. Not overcrowded which is credit to the host which means plenty of space between you and the other campers. The township is only 5min drive if you wanted to grab lunch or a coffee. I would recommend this place highly and already planning when to stay again.

Loved our trip to Wattle Valley Farm! We had a fantastic camping trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and perfect for us. The atmosphere was just right - spacious with campsites scattered through such a great space, with enough shade for everyone. The facilities to the overall layout of the site, making it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Just sitting around the campfire, exploring the surrounding area, swimming, reading made for a memorable 5 nights. What an amazing place!! We spent 2 absolutely blissful nights here. Carol and Dee were fantastic and so accommodating! Getting to spend a feeding time with the rescued wallabies was something special. They do some inspiring and tireless work in this place. Highly recommend to all and it's only just off the M1 highway. Beautiful camping areas amongst the huge gum trees, nice flat land for camping and activities.

When to go
Summer is the most popular time to visit Pretty Beach with the sun, sand, and surf setting a scene for swimming and snorkelling. Spring is also ideal as it brings a wealth of vibrant wildflowers and blooming fields in the area. Winters in Pretty Beach are mild, with July temperatures averaging about 16°C. However, winters are also particularly popular for whale watching as humpback whales make their way northward from May to July, making Pretty Beach a great year-round camping destination.
