The camp kitchen is large and well equipped with tables, chairs, a lounge area & tv for you to enjoy. The kitchen has cooking facilities, a kettle, toaster, microwave, prepping areas & more making it a comfortable space to prepare and eat meals under cover. Campers have reception to 4G. We have a turning lane entrance with boom gate security. When you arrive and set up, you will be able to ramble around our property and enjoy the ambience of the beautiful tree studded campground. Sit back in the afternoon and enjoy nature at its best and then a beautiful warm campfire, perfect!! Whether you're camping in a tent or vehicle, there's plenty of space to set up. The campsite is grassy and level, and 2WD accessible. There is a dump point for your camping toilet. Generators are permitted from 8am till 5pm (extreme heat on the day consideration). Pets welcome, must be kept on a leash.

Hi and welcome to Vista 180. Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast. We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels. You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice. Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland. It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre. Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them! Your own toilet is a necessity. Campfires (when conditions permit) are to be in the provided firepits. Garbage and Recycle bins are provided. You wont have to share your spot with other campers and you have direct access to the river. Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee. We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too. Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a bit of fishing, or just to switch off from the world for a while, this is the place to do it. So come on out, take a deep breath, and slow down for a few days. You’ll soon see why we love it here and why it’s hard to leave once you’ve settled in.

We are unfortunately unable to take new bookings for the foreseeable future and likely until late 2026. Please check back with us later next year. Our property is private so we ask you to contact us first to ensure we can provide the facilities most suited to you. It suits off-road independent hybrid caravaners and tent dwellers. The river is home to mangroves (so mosquitoes feed the leaping fish), all manner of sea creatures and dolphins are frequent in drier periods. Birdlife includes an array of land and waterbirds, such as Eagles, Magpies, Kookaburras, colourful parrots and smaller shyer birds. The wildlife includes kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, reptiles. You may espy a Koala along the foreshore. For this reason, while we accept dogs, they must be on a leash (if not just for their own safety). The boat ramp has good access for kayaks/canoes. Or just sit on a camper chair and dangle your feet in the water while watching the mud crabs go about their social business. Riverside sites are not powered and do not have water or sewerage. They are situated within 10m to 25m of each other and if this is too close, we recommend booking two sites. Generally, we prefer campers to be 100% self-contained, with their own toilet. A toilet is however accessible, but some 300m to 400m distance from the dams and rivers. There is cold potable running water here for topping up. Sealed roads to the front gate to access the property from north and south. All-weather gravel road access is available, although paddock sites can only be accessed by vehicle during dry periods. Weather willing, we can provide more secluded sites by some lovely dams, (please check conditions if you have concerns). Activities include: - Bird/nature watching - Paddling/canoeing - Fishing - Bike riding (small motor vessels only by arrangement) - Surface type: grass or paddock leveled areas and others with slight slopes and accessed with 4WD (of course subject to weather). - Generally fair to good Mobile phone access. - BYO or Preorder firewood for applicable sites out of fire season. - No electrical connections unless by arrangement (for longer term Hipcampers) - We treat our own sewerage. - No generators please.

For kids; the pool was AMAZING. There is the “Sugar Rush” stand opened at a certain time (maybe school holidays?) obviously One Mile beach is right there with awesome access plus amazing hikes and quad biking ect close by. Facility’s clean and well maintained, pick your time for showers though if you want a HOT shower. Great staff, great park. 4 kids and 2 adults really and truly enjoyed our stay.

Great spot on the ridge to set up, explore and relax. Hosted by Luke who was amazing from check in to check out. Luke and Halacal Farm have curated a truly private experience to get in touch with nature with their sites. Genuinely feels like you’re all alone, but not so far away from everything. Super relaxed vibe and great for my young kids to have a run around and spot the livestock and local native animals and birds.

Check in was good and very informational. The laundry and amenities were clean and very functional. It was really quiet at night which was brilliant. A great spot to pull in just far enough off the highway to not hear it at all. Would be good for families.

We enjoyed our week at Pear Tree Farm. The views are really nice, friendly horses and it was handy taking up the power & water extra. There was another camper on the other site but this posed no problems as there was heaps of distance between the sites. The location was also good with shops nearby and some nice walking trails about 10 minutes away. Communication with Andrew was also easy and clear throughout. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

We almost had the whole place to ourselves, and absolutely loved the privacy. Our host, Hannah, mentioned that if we’d arrived just a few days earlier, it would’ve been packed out, so our timing was luckily spot on! The facilities were spotless, and the river was fun for rock hopping, fishing and swimming, cold but invigorating! You felt the temperature instantly drop as soon as you’re down by the river, perfect for escaping the midday heat. Our hosts, Hannah and Jessie, were super friendly and made us feel right at home. 🩷 We loved 🔥 Fire pit & wood supplied 🍃 Plenty of space and privacy ✨ Stargazing, super special 🎣 Fishing .. we caught an eel and threw it back 😂 💧 River swimming, ROPE SWING 🏠 Admiring the quirky costum built cabins that hug the river

Brad is an excellent host, around when you need him and happy to help. We found the amenities to be so clean and comfortable, dont forget your $1 coins for hot showers! The camp kitchen is excellent. Flat drive through sites, very close to the highway, perfect for the overnight stopover. Road noise is a thing here though, so if your looking for absolute peace and quiet, choose something further from the main road.

We had a great time at this camp-site, the hosts were friendly and very helpful/accommodating. The swim spots on the river were stunning and the kids loved it. Good clean amenities block with hot showers and even a coin operated laundry if you need to wash/dry some things. Had a huge range of scheduled activities for the kids over the Easter long weekend.
