Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance.
Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle.
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times.
2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites.
3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. That said, due to Covid and weather, people often cancel at the last minute too, so if we are currently booked out, it's always worthile checking again closer to the date for any availability.
We are on acreage (approx 7 acres) in Otford, surrounded by forest, backing onto the very southern end of the Royal National Park Sydney/Wollongong. Sleep under the stars, and to the hoot of our local owls, and yips of the gorgeous feather-tail gliders. Lovely, peaceful and private in a bushland backdrop but so close and just a hike to famous sites, beaches, cafes and bushwalking - so the perfect spot to stop, unpack and then go exploring.

Hello Campers! Our beautiful property is located on 20 acres in a convenient location just 10 minutes out of Campbelltown. The property is a short drive to Dharawal National Park, and a great 'home base' while you explore everything the area has to offer.
There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park.
There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor.
Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants.
Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents.
The property has ample room to accommodate larger groups that might want to hold milestone celebrations such as Birthday parties, whereby all sites will be closed to accommodate such events. Recently Calabash Haven hosted a party of 50 people for 50th Bday celebration. Feel free to inquire to see if we can accommodate your needs.

We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms.
Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river.
Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are loving welcoming back our guests.

Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney.
We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice!
We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water.
You can bring your dogs, but they must be on a leash at all times. We have three little puppies that love to roam their property. We lock them up sometimes but most of the time they are just running around having fun. Minimum of 2 dogs per booking and they must be noted on the booking.

Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper.
The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on.
Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous.
If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams.
We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water.
Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers.
Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro.

There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Absolutely loved this site. The shack, toilet and shower made this glamping for us. Having easy access to the Hawksbury water on a scorching day was pure bliss. Enjoying the long weekend with our dogs as well was the cherry on the top. Trevor and Megan were so easy to deal with.

We loved it! Campsite 4 had beautiful soft grass and gorgeous views over the valley. Loved exploring the orchards, visiting the Cafe, playing cricket and swimming in the Dam. Very friendly people. Keen to return in a different season for different fruits.

Beautiful quiet spot, very easy to find! Site had a fire pit and close to a pond which attracted many birds and insects. Couldn’t hear any traffic just pleasant nature sounds 🙂↔️

I stayed in site 4, it was a huge spot with a lovely sunset over the valley. It gets quite a lot of sun in the middle of the day, but you can wander down to the dam to have a cooling swim and escape the heat.

Very kind and wonderful hosts.
It was a truly lovely stay.
Perfect for one night or even longer.
We especially loved the opportunity to do laundry for free and to enjoy the incredible bathroom.

Rained a lot during our stay, and we still had a great time. The sheltered fireplace was amazing, and the fairy lights created a warm and homely space.
The fishing was fun. Mostly small bream, but we did manage to land and release a legally sized bream.
There was constant river traffic and road noise from across the river, but don't let that deter you from booking this top spot.
Megan and Trevor were both very responsive, and were excellent hosts. Also, their friendly, super cute sausage pups came to visit regularly - a welcomed bonus.

Our campsite was situated beside the river, and well maintained. Even though we shared the space with another couple, the ambiance remained peaceful, affording us a sense of seclusion.. One of the highlights of our stay was the chance to enjoy a nighttime campfire while gazing up at the stars. We craved a short getaway to pause and unwind, it was exactly what we got.
