Savour the moment and feel the magic of simplicity in our world of nature. Renowned for their spectacular scenery, the Megalong Valley Farm offers fresh mountain air, history and wildlife. Guests can expect some of the most spectacular sunsets, sunrises and scenery in the Blue Mountains. While you're here, check out some of the iconic destinations our region has to offer. BEFORE YOU ARRIVE PHONES: Phone reception is good, there is a Telstra exchange on the property. ROADS: Roads around the sites are unsealed, but most normal cars and the average SUV handle it okay. The road down into the Megalong Valley is tar sealed, very scenic but winding. ICE: Bring your own ice WOOD: Timber for fires can be purchased at reception. We are an environmental biodiversity precinct so don’t permit damage to vegetation. FIRES: Plenty of existing fire spots SHOPS: The township of Blackheath is 15klm away up on the Gt Western Hwy, none in the Valley SHADE: Plenty of shady areas WATER: We are on town water TOILETS there are 3 men's and 3 women's, plus 8 at reception, plus 3 in pioneer and 3 in corner paddock SHOWERS: 3 gas hot water showers in men's, 3 in women's, plus 2 in Lodge NOISE: Shutdown time for music is 10pm - no exceptions! but you can still enjoy the fires - quietly. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

We host horse lovers events twice a year, and offer boutique training, horse riding lessons, functions and five star events. We welcome all types of camping guests from tents through to campervans and caravans. The camping area is 2WD accessible. You are welcome to choose where you’d like to set up on arrival. PLEASE ARRIVE BEFORE 5PM. A gate code will be given on arrival if you need to exit after 5pm. We have a large open, grassy area close to the amenities or you can tuck your campsite away under the trees. PLEASE TAKE ALL YOUR RUBBISH WITH YOU. Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine for Wallaby flat but in wet weather, 4WD is required. Platypus flat is 4wd only. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Loved Coolendel. Great location.. off the beaten track but not too off beaten. The lady at checking was friendly and informative. We camped mid November during the week and literally had the place to ourselves. They had two amenities with hot showers which was a bonus on the first morning. But the rest of the time the fresh water of the Shoal Haven river was perfect. About 90% of sites have fire pits so make sure you bring your own fire wood. No 4G or 5G network but you could buy wifi to access communications. During the three days of camp we managed to see wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, peacocks and abundance of birds life. The stars at night were on full display. One thing I would recommend if you’re camping during the school holidays is to bring your own portable toilet or off grid shower as the amenities would be at premium use Most sites have taps you access fresh water.

Drive in is beautiful through the open paddocks then once in property driving through sets the tone of a quite stay and peaceful, sunset is a smaller private spot loved the table and chairs Leanne has set up to enjoy breaky and dinner especially as it was a bit of stormy weather. The peacocks sound great and loved their calling noises during my stay. The walks on the property are nice simple walks but enjoyable but must do the George walk absolutely stunning. The camp site is close to two creeks, Blackheath Creek and Little Stoney Creek where the protected Platypus are frequently seen, along with our wombats and kangaroos. Cox’s River is a ten minute drive suitable for swimming and fishing. We have a compost toilet, outdoor shower (restricted water) covered camp kitchen with tap water from tank, BBQ, fire pit indoors/outdoors, table, chairs, sleeping area, tent area, shade trees, picturesque site. . There is hot water and an open air shower. A long drop toilet is located nearby. At night the shelter is lit by solar powered lights & the glow of the campfire. The shelter is accessible by 4WD. Dogs are not permitted. Limited firewood is provided. Firewood can be purchased at $50 for a generous bundle.
