A wonderful sanctuary

My family really enjoyed staying at Tom's Farm, and would definitely be back again. We had the whole place to ourselves, and there was plenty to do - fishing, collecting firewood, reading, riding bikes, exploring, spotting wildlife. The cabin was an unexpected luxury. Three days flew by. Our dog had the time of his life, too!

Great location with beautiful surroundings. Gorgeous riverside location. Had a few families and we all enjoyed it. The mums really appreciated the shower facilities and flushing toilets.

Had the whole place to ourselves, great spot right be a rushing river with bush walks and heaps of wildlife around. Handy to have a cabin onsite with a bathroom and some cooking facilities that we could have used if we needed, and Tom’s communication with us made the whole thing a piece of cake. Great spot, we’ll be back for sure!

Excellent place for Camping, especially for those who need a proper toilet/bath option. Amazing views, river, rocks. Only regret is we couldn't take a dip as it was so cold. Cabin was such a blessing in the cold weather.

The camping here is gorgeous! Right next to the river and no one else in sight, perfect destination to be away from reality! The cabin was very good, had everything we needed like toilet and shower. Great that Tom could accomodate for my large family group and the 3 dogs!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Tom’s campsite! The location is stunning—tucked beside a flowing river and beneath a majestic cliff, it felt like something out of a postcard. We had the entire campsite to ourselves, which made it incredibly peaceful and the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. We saw kangaroos, wombats, countless birds, platypus and even spotted some feral pigs and deer on the way in. The natural beauty of the area is just incredible, with vibrant colours in the trees and to sleep with sound of flowing river next to us was amazing. There was a fire area that made for the perfect evening under the stars(no light pollution so could see very clear sky so perfect for star gazing), and the flushable toilet and running water in the shed house were thoughtful touches that made the stay even more comfortable. We spent our days exploring and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. If you're looking for a beautiful, off-the-grid experience surrounded by nature, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough—thanks, Tom, we will be coming back again!

This is such a great campsite, set in a beautiful spot near the river. The amenities are fantastic, with a gas stovetop and oven available for cooking. The bathrooms and toilets are clean and easy to access. I’d definitely recommend arriving in a 4WD or something similar, as the road in can get quite steep in sections — but it’s a great drive. I’d absolutely recommend this place and am already looking forward to coming back again.

Camping at Trout Valley was simply breathtaking. What an amazing place. Choice of 3 campsites right on the Tuglow River with a firepit at each camp. Access to the little room at the end of the shed provides a (cold water) shower and toilet and a place to get out of any adverse weather with a little kitchen available in need. We chose to camp at the middle campsite right beside a stunning granite and limestone cliff face which lit up beautifully in the setting sun. This place is stunning!! It’s amazingly private with big swimming holes, trout fishing in the river and the dam and beautiful scenery. Remember to bring your own firewood as there isn’t much about on the property and the road in may get a little slippery in the wet.

Perfect spot to recharge and get away from the crowd. You will have the entire property to yourself throughout the stay. My partner and I loved every single minute here. There are a lot of wildlife around the area, so definitely drive slow after getting off the main road. You will drive pass a gorgeous cattle farm with stunning views on the hill right before the last gate. The property is located deeper in the valley. It is absolutely a secret hidden gem with lots of privacy. There are three campsites along the creek you can choose from. We stayed at campsite 3, which is deeper in the woods. Also, Tom’s cabin has many helpful camping essentials you need. Shower, toilet, electricity, lighters, stove, oven, cooking ware, utensils, sofa, candles, portable lights, board games, etc. are provided. Do not hesitate to book. I promise you will enjoy the stay!

Wow!!! What a special place. We were a group of six (plus three dogs) and absolutely loved our three night stay at Trout Valley Retreat. The whole property is serene, completely private, and the views across the valley are just stunning. We loved spending time wandering around the river bank and exploring, and it was incredible to have the whole place to ourselves. Tom is an excellent host, very communicative and friendly. The cabin made the trip feel super comfortable without taking away from the whole off-grid experience. It’s stocked with basics if you forget anything, plus a proper kitchen and board games if you get a rainy afternoon. We cooked dinner over the fire pit at the campsite every night and it was great to be able to wash the plates! There’s no reception, which we saw as a huge plus, it gave us all a chance to properly switch off. I can’t recommend Trout Valley Retreat highly enough if you’re looking to disconnect, unwind, and just enjoy being out in nature. Thanks for having us!

Great river side camping with a total of three camp sites spread far apart across the property. Essential amenities are provided. Direct to campsite on arrival and also includes a helpful take as you need and leave what you can pantry which saved a meal during our trip.

What an amazing property tucked deep into the Blue Mountains. Campsite surrounded by rock formations, mountains, poplar trees - what else could you ask for. Handy little cabin on the property as well for emergency or to hang out when it's chilly outside. Planning on coming back.

We enjoyed our camping trip here. The campsite was perfect and next to the river. Easy instructions to access the property and the cabin was handy to have to option of using. We would definitely camp here again.
