It's a farm. Not a centralized campground offering full-amenities or caravan access.
As free-range campers 'on-that-farm, there are some free-range cows' (& chooks) . So you'll need to partially share the land with them. They're curious, but not aggressive.

THINGS TO NOTE
Access: The road in features some classic country potholes. It is easily manageable in a 2WD, but we recommend taking it slow.
Nature: This is a living farm. We provide repellent, but please bring a tick-safety kit and ensure pets are up to date with treatments.
Sustainability: We are a "Leave No Trace" property. Please be prepared to take all rubbish with you to help us keep this environment pristine.

Our property is an easy walking distance to the local village where you will find the shop/ general store and the pub is dog friendly. It's around 1km to The Channon Craft Market grounds, and the markets are on the second Sunday of each month. Lots of crafts, clothes, jewellery, gifts, food stalls and entertainers to see and enjoy.
This campsite is located right on the banks of the flowing creek. It's a private site with access to two good swimming holes. Enjoy warming your feet around the campfire in the evenings, subject to fireban conditions.
We welcome only self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower and drinking water. There is access to rubbish facilities.
For those wanting to explore a bit further we are 15kms from Nightcap National Park and the beautiful Protesters Falls. There is a walking track that leads through lush World Heritage rainforest right up to the falls.

There are 2 domes available for up to 6 guests, with each dome including its own bathroom. Each dome has a queen bed and a single.
There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave & cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ.
There are two hammocks and outdoor lounges to spend some time enjoying the view and time together.
For those looking for a bit of adventure there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Local attractions include:
Whiann Whiann Falls- swimming hole- (5 minutes)
Nightcap National Park, including spectacular Minyon Falls (30 minutes)
Rocky Creek Dam, which has walks and a platypus trail (10 minutes)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this.
This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water.
Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day.
There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler.
Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road.
You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region.
Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway.
In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.

The property is set at the foot of Mount Jerusalem National Park. Mountain-view camping site offer a peaceful escape, with cool, fresh air and the scent of pine. PLEASE NOTE: This is a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this.
This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water.
Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day.
There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler.
Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road.
You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region.
Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway.
In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.

Our property is a 150 acre working organic produce and cattle farm with undulating land, lush green grass, mountain views and a creek surrounded by ferns. The camp site is hilltop with amazing views including that of Mount Lindsay, Mount Barney and the Border Ranges.
Most times there are animals for children to pet, baby rabbits, calves, lambs etc. In September-October we have fireflies at the creek.

The Lodgings are a neat and clean 2007 caravan suitable for two adults and three small children. All linen is provided. The caravan is powered so has lights, heating and cooling, cooking, kettle, hot water etc

Kyogle village is a 20 min drive. supermarket, butchers, locally crafted giftware, clothes and furniture
Kyogle is known as a "gateway" to many national parks including Border Ranges National Park and Toonumbar National Park.

The property is set at the foot of Mount Jerusalem National Park. Mountain-view camping site offer a peaceful escape, with cool, fresh air and the scent of pine. During the day, the mountains shift in the light, something sharp and bright, other times soft and blue. The highlight is the sunset, with the sky turning orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets behind the peaks.
At night, the mountains stand under a starry sky, creating a calm, timeless atmosphere. Camping here isn't just about the view- it's about connecting with nature and enjoying the quiet moments.
There is about a 20-minute bush walk to the mountain lookout near the campsite, where you can view the whole countryside from the lookout.

Weekend Trip to Trickling Waters Retreat
This glamping spot is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. We were so pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully Kat had provided everything needed for a luxurious camping experience.
Having power in the tent was a huge bonus, along with the large fridge, microwave, and fan. The fire being all set up and ready to go was such a lovely extra touch. The creek is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green grass, and the setting feels very private and peaceful.
The shower was amazing, and honestly, everything was just perfect. We would highly recommend this special place and will definitely be back.

Firstly not sure if I can sum up this HipCamp in such a small review. From first making the booking, before leaving and during my stay the communication was quick and all instructions were really clear. The property is stunning, well kept and the facilities are amazing. The shower/toilet is phenomenal, clean and everything you need. The camp kitchen with sink and power is a nice touch. Wood fire was filled with wood and all I had to do was light it. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again soon. In the top 3 Hipcamps I have stayed it (been using Hipcamp years).

Weekend Trip to The Meadow -Byron Hinterlands Domes
We had a great time glamping in this dome, despite the weather being pretty average.
The dome is very spacious, so we did not feel cramped or boxed in like we might have hiding out from the rain in a regular size glamping tent.
On the down side there was not even a rug inside, and the outside mat was drenched, so we had to use our own towels on the floor to dry our feet coming inside.
The rain does get in a bit, which is probably why there is there is just a bare concrete floor. The skylight is a cool feature but unfortunately you can barely see through it and the panoramic window is also made of plastic, so it does hinder the views a bit, maybe more in rainy weather.
Still there is plenty of space, (a lot more than our rooftop tent!) and you have it all to yourself, so we can't really complain.

Communal building allowing AC power supply for charging phones, cameras and other electronic devices. Very friendly hospitality extended by area manager Patricia and associate Dillon and other staff.

As a solo camper, I felt very comfortable and safe on Christina's land. The cabin was perfect for a tranquil getaway, the babbling creek a morning and evening joy, and the undercover kitchen set up just superb. Christina was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend her camp to anyone.

What an amazing place to stay the photos don't do the stay justice, we came with a camper trailer and 4x4 car had the option to stay way out in the middle of nowhere but stayed fairly close to the amenities which not many hipcamps offer hot showers and free WiFi, once set up we had a walk down to the amazing waterfall and took the 4x4 up on the peaks to watch the sunset over the distant mountains, gregg is 1 of the most friendly people even when busy he will stop make sure your fine have a chat bit of advice even offer to take you around the 270 acre land in his biggie, I would 100% stay again, great location for nimbin, lismore and 1 hour from byron bay and minyon falls, must see places and a must place to stay

Always a great stay at Oakey Ridge! The property feels so inviting and Greg is such a welcoming host. There’s been some great upgrades to the amenities and camping sites since i stayed in 2024, which signifies a caring land owner. I was parked about 1km away from the main amenities block and still had decent Telstra service. It was the perfect camp to sit and be with country, thank you Greg for the time :)
