The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. This is a 45 acre farm located approx 50 km north of Coffs Harbour and 30km south of Grafton and is just 500 meters from the Pacific Highway at Halfway Creek. The property is easily accessed by 2WD and is suitable for caravans and small to medium motor homes. Take a right turn as soon as you drive through the cream concrete entrance gates and follow the road down to the large cream shed. Here you will find manicured park-like gardens with a large dam - big enough to kayak on! There are numerous shady trees along the dam edges and you can also relax on the pontoon which overlooks the water. **Please note that the dam area is not fenced and may not suit campers with children. Campers must ensure they supervise their children at all times. This farm operates a cut flower business with over 10,000 rose bushes and has recently diversified with a large number of Australian wildflowers. The business hours are typically 6am-4pm but once or twice a week the shed does need to be accessed earlier than this so please do not park on the gravel area in front of the double roller doors. We are just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway, between Maclean and Brooms Head. The camp is currently set up for private use for one booking. Please contact the host first for group bookings (up to 15 persons). There is a sink with filtered rain water on the deck, an instant gas hot water shower behind the main deck and also a compost toilet. There is a small solar power set up to run the sink and shower pump. The site in OFF-GRID on tank water only, so it is important to be mindful of water use and make sure taps are off when not in use. Bring your own cooker, lights and chairs. Mosquitos come and go depending on weather or season. It is good to be prepared with coils/sprays just in case. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash if they are a threat to wildlife. You can swim in the dam when full. Enjoy a meditation or sunset drink over looking the dam and admiring the wildlife that also use the watering hole. Please relax and enjoy your time at Groundswell. Hacketts Haven is our 68 acre property, located near Copmanhurst which boasts your own exclusive panoramic view overlooking the Clarence River. The site is approximately 14 metres clear/elevated from the river (which makes it very safe if the river was to rise above minor or moderate flooding). A truly unique camping experience overlooking the wide spanse of the Clarence only a short distance from the small village of Copmanhurst, perfect for a group booking of up to 20. Enjoy your own private site with a sandy beach @40m below site, east of the Copmanhurst boat ramp. Take a walk down the steepish soft sandy cattle tracks to the waters edge and enjoy yourself. Note: Sand can be very hot! Obedient dogs permitted and that they are on a lead or under control with livestock or cattle dogs around. No amenities so campers need to BYO everything they need and leave no trace. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place - check with host. NOTE: No treated wood to be brought or burnt on the property The Rest Point Hotel sells bags of firewood. As per Hipcamp guidelines, be fire safe, dispose of garbage responsibly and leave no trace. The grass is left lush for the roaming cattle to enjoy, however we will endeavour to slash the 40+ acres and/or whipper-snip around firepits when possible. We are just 10 minutes off the Pacific Highway, between Maclean and Brooms Head. The camp is currently set up for private use for one booking. There is a sink with filtered rain water on the deck, an instant gas hot water shower behind the main deck and also a compost toilet. There is a small solar power set up to run the sink and shower pump. The site in OFF-GRID on tank water only, so it is important to be mindful of water use and make sure taps are off when not in use. Bring your own cooker, lights and chairs. Mosquitos come and go depending on weather or season. It is good to be prepared with coils/sprays just in case. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash if they are a threat to wildlife. You can swim in the dam when full. The site is approximately 14 metres clear/elevated from the river (which makes it very safe if the river was to rise above minor or moderate flooding). A truly unique camping experience overlooking the wide spanse of the Clarence only a short distance from the small village of Copmanhurst, perfect for a group booking of up to 20. Enjoy your own private site with a sandy beach @40m below site, east of the Copmanhurst boat ramp. Take a walk down the steepish soft sandy cattle tracks to the waters edge and enjoy yourself. Note: Sand can be very hot! Obedient dogs permitted and that they are on a lead or under control with livestock or cattle dogs around. No amenities so campers need to BYO everything they need and leave no trace. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place - check with host. Great campsite in a wonderful, peaceful waterfront location. Firepit provided on each campsite and fishing at your front door. Each site has beautifully manicured lawns. Saw heaps of wildlife including all the different seabirds, kookaburras, kangaroos and even dolphins. All just a short drive to Yamba township if needed. We would definately stay again and would highly recommend.

This was our second stay at river side rest we really enjoyed the propertt on our first visit so we decided to return. The property is very green and well kept. There is an abundance of wildlife on the river and on the property with kangaroos visiting every afternoon pelicans on the water and fishing in front of your camp. Fire pits ate provided and well priced firewood and ice available at the house. In all a very piecefull and relaxing atomsphere.

Great spot - we stayed an extra night. Very well thought out set up, friendly owner, and very quiet and private. Plus the site is surrounded by the unique Grass trees. I would definitely recommend this site.

Weekend Trip to Riverside Rest

Absolutely loved staying at Riverside rest. What a beautiful spot to spend some time relaxing and catching fish. Yamba is just down the road if you need anything. Will definitely be back again. The sites are a great size and enough space between them. Glen and Zoe have done a great job. Highly recommend.
