Mary & Trevor were fantastic hosts, very helpful and accommodating. The site was spacious, private and very peaceful, right next to the Clarence River. Would highly recommend!

A great spot, our 2 kids and 3 of their friends all had a great time around the fire, exploring and playing on the river. Trevor & Mary are very gracious hosts. We will be back.

Stunning and spectacular spot

What a gem, the place is stunning and private. The host Mary and the good husband and snow are lovely as they welcome us warmly at their beautiful property. The sunset beside the river was spectacular. We would love to come back again for a few days. Thank you so much.

Beautiful campsite on the Clarence

We camped at platypus rock for 5 days and it has everything you could wish for, beatiful grassy camp site, with plenty of shade and/or plenty of sun if you need solar. The campsite is on the bank of Clarence river with easy access for swimming or kayaking. The ground is a little sloped for a caravans but if you have good levellers or airbags you will have no problem. Mary and Trevor were very friendly and we definitely felt welcome. I would definitely recommend and look forward to next time we visit.

My family and I stayed in the Pecan Paddock site over New Years and we had a great time. A perfect shady spot for a summer camp. The breeze coming from the river was very cooling. 3min walk to the river which was great for swimming and paddling. We hired Trevor’s boat on one day and had a nice time exploring the river. I really appreciate a Hipcamp that gives you your own space away from other groups.

What an amazing spot amongst the pecan trees to camp for a week. Easy access to the Clarence River for swimming and canoeing. Far enough away from the water for our young children. Trevor and Mary are accommodating hosts, it is awesome that they are able to open up the farm for people to stay. Thanks again, we will be back to camp here.

Camping under the pecan trees

Cannot recommend Mary and Trevor’s spot enough. Second time staying here and I don’t think it’ll ever disappoint. Staying under the pecan trees is a must, beautiful shade, good breeze and if you’ve got little people, far enough away from the river that even the drunk uncle would have time to sprint after them. 10/10 recommend. Perfect spot to explore the area, only about 55min to Minnie water and Wooli.

First falls is a quiet peaceful place on the Clarence river . We were lucky enough to camp amongst the pecan trees. Mary and Trevor are incredible hosts . We will definitely be back to visit when we explore the local region better.

First Falls - 4 great days.

My wife and I, along with seven teenagers aged 14 to 17, had an amazing stay with Mary and Trevor as our hosts. They were incredibly welcoming, and the kids had a blast with all the activities,fishing, kayaking, and even some tubing behind the boat. The area itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with the Pecan trees offering muchneeded shade on the hotter days. It’s the perfect balance close enough to everything you need, yet just far enough away to feel like a peaceful retreat. Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun getaway!

Stunning place

We loved tent camping on First Falls! Mary, Trevor, and Matt were super helpful. We brought our inflatable kayak and rented a tiny boat for a day (highly recommended) to explore the surroundings during the long weekend. Our campsite had amazing views of the river, and it was super quiet. Our dog Tofu had the best time as well. 100% we will come back :)

Wonderful Host!!

I can’t comment on the property as we never ended up making it there, however what I really wish to comment on is how wonderfully communicative Mary was with us about it. It felt effortless and we can’t wait to re-book soon to enjoy some time relaxing down there.

Riverfront camping - bliss!

We loved our stay at First Falls - Platypus Rock. The riverfront location was just perfect and the hosts, Trevor and Mary were kind and welcoming. The view from our campsite was picturesque as the sun set over the river. It was a bonus to not have to share this peaceful camp with others too!

An absolutely lovely spot hosted by a genuinely lovely couple. Very quiet and secluded down by the river, very well kept property where the hosts are clearly very proud and diligent in making sure everything is the best it can be. Only stayed one night on my way elsewhere but will certainly be back in time for a longer stay.

We loved staying at pecan farm. The pitch had plenty of space and the river access was easy. The rope swing up river was an awesome find! Mary’s communication was spot on and the facilities were clean and tidy. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely beautiful 😍 Will definitely go again. Small walk and you're in the river. Beautiful breeze where we camped and plenty of shade for my dogs. Lovely owners who were very welcoming and easy to chat to. Once we were set up it was very relaxing & very quiet 🙂

Platypus Rock

We spent 2 lovely nights at the platypus Rock camp site which in our opinion was the best as we were right by the rivers edge. Water was lovely for a swim and a fish. Camp site had ample shade thanks to 2 x massive trees that are gorgeous! We hired the tiny and went up stream for an explore, so glad we did, the Rock for.ations were awesome. Would recommend and would come again.

First Falls - Rustic Glamping

Wow wow what a spectacular spot Mary & Trevor are willing to share with hipcampers. It's so peaceful and the daily river swims are very refreshing. This place is magic and the sky at night is full of starts... The sites are great right under the pecan trees. Beautiful. the little note Mary provides with history and the possibility of hiring kayaks or tinnies is great. Thank you again for this beautiful spot.
