We stayed 2 nights.It was exactly what we all needed.It was so peaceful.You could hear the birds singing, cow's mooing across the river, and the owners horses came down past our camp each evening, they had a drink from the river, then galloped back home.It was so lovely to see .Vanessa was very helpful and friendly.We had a great weekend, and will definately be back again.

Camp Crudine is a very quiet and peaceful spot. It is 4WD access only, so some experience with 4WD is recommended. Not required, but it would definitely be very helpful in navigating the fun road to both sites. A lovely spot indeed. Thanks Camp Crudine.

2 nights at Riveroak Farm

First time Hipcamp experience for us was nothing short of amazing. Directions to the campsite were very clear and easily accessible. The horses are friendly, cool and didn’t disturb us. They did provide us with entertainment galloping up and down the paddock. The river, the ducks, the cows from across the river, the views are all spectacular. It rained, It was cold but even our 2 x 18 year old daughters asked when can we come back. What a beautiful piece of this great country.

We had a great stay at Riveroak! The campsite was huge, clean and flat. All the animals and locals were friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend!

It was an absolute delight spending the long weekend camping on Glenn's property! The secluded campsite offered us the perfect private escape. We were so thrilled to spot wombats and kangaroos – what a treat! It truly was a place of peace and tranquility. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful location, right on the Fish River. The hosts are very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. It is quiet and access to the river for swimming, kayaking or fishing is very good. Great spot for a family.

As advertised the views are lovely and the property is quiet with your only fellow campers some considerable distance away. Three days spent listening and watching the bubbling brook adjacent to the campsite, the sounds of cows in the morning and my own beagle who thoroughly enjoyed himself. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Camp Crudine

We enjoyed camping on Glenns land. It was very peaceful and the kitchen added that extra touch of comfort. We had the whole space to ourselves and went exploring along the river bed. Certainly need a 4x4 to get to the camp site.

We loved Burranuck Farm! We arrived at dusk and went the 4x4 way onto the property which was beautiful, winding and full of kangaroos. We stayed in the stockyards at the top of the hill under the stars and were met with a stunning sunrise. We drove through the koala reserve campground on our way out in the morning which also looked like a super nice spot to pitch up for a few nights with heaps of space between each camp and a very natural feel to how and where you want to camp. The place felt private and special and it was a real treat being able to get away from from the road sounds but still in a great location if you're heading out west towards Orange like we were. Would definitely return when we next find ourselves headed inland, sad we only stayed for one night.

Site was nice and flat and well kept. The short 15m walk to the rapids was easy to access and the horses that came down to say hi a few times a day was exciting for the kids. The night sky though!! Wow.

First time there. Nice and peaceful. Only 2 campgrounds that are a decent distance from each other. Nice and flat campgrounds, very clean and maintained. I would go there again and would recommend for others. Thank you :)

4 nights at Riveroak Farm

What a fantastic place Riveroak Farm - Rapids Campsite is. We were eagerly greeted at the gate by the 3 resident Guard Dachshunds who approved our entry. Thru the gate to the left where we were immediately surrounded by 6 very friendly horses, all of who thought the grass was much greener in the laneway outside their paddock. Many thanks to Nick who helped us through. We spent 4 days camped there while exploring the surrounding Bathurst Oberon region. The campsite is a long strip of the bottom paddock bordered on one side by the Fish River and it's gentle flowing rapids, (which our Golden Retriever absolutely loved) and behind was the large paddock which housed the horses. The campsite is situated at the bottom of the property so the noise from the road was barely noticeable. The Beach campsite is about 100m down from the Rapids so there is plenty of room. We loved camping here, very quiet and serine. I would defiantly recommend it.

Such a nice spot! We camped in the wooded area and felt so private and peaceful. Mike was very helpful and nice too. Unfortunately didn’t spot a koala this time but would definitely go back to stay next time we’re in the area

Our property is in Evans Plains, just 15km from Bathurst. We have a number of large grassy sites available with plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The property has an abundance of wildlife, with a Koala colony, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Wombats, Echidnas, Platypus (rarely seen), Parrots, Eagles, and possums for those who enjoy wildlife watching you will be spoilt for choice. Evans Plains Creek also contains alluvial gold which results in the area being very popular for gold panning. Bathurst Mt. Panorama racetrack is 15 km east of the property. The Bathurst goldfields can also be found at the mount. The rural gold mining town of Sofala (Australia's oldest surviving gold town) is 60km north on all sealed roads. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash so that they do not disturb livestock or native animals. Campfires are allowed but campers must bring their own fire pit if they would like a fire. Only fallen wood on the ground may be collected. Campers must also have their own camping toilet and take all waste/rubbish with them on departure. There are no designated campsites within the 145 hectares (360 acres) campground.

There are two campsites, Camp Crudine Kitchen and Camp Crudine Riverside. When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Bellandre Park

We are Marilyn and Peter, we own, live and run a mixed farming business from this beautiful land, located in the Central Tablelands NSW. The country varies between undulating and steep land and has 7 km of double frontage Bell River running through it. The river can range from rapidly flowing to the more usual steady flowing and is most often very clear. The river has numerous swimming spots, some with a rocky base, and some with sand. The winding river and the varying countryside is incredibly peaceful and beautiful and is a perfect retreat for those looking to disconnect and relax. The river has its origin near Orange and is also fed into by many springs. Weandre Creek runs in the backcountry and winds into the Bell River. Our comfortable Hut is situated on an elevated spot looking down on the river with a graduated road leading down. It has everything you need for a relaxing, recharging stay in nature. The Hut can accommodate up to 4 people, however, you also have the option for up to 6 additional guests to set up swags, tents, or a camper trailer nearby. There is space next to the Hut, or for those with a 4WD, there are some lovely camping sites down by the river. We also offer sites for those looking for a self-contained camping site, in a beautiful location. We love the solitude, the endless bush walks, swimming, and being immersed in nature. We are confident you will too. We also have a lovely art gallery on the property, and for a small fee and prior arrangement, you are welcome to come and take a look. From our farm, it is 60 km to Orange with all its wineries, food festivals, and many attractions. Wellington is 40 km and boasts the Wellington Caves. Dubbo is 90 km and is a big inland city and boasts the Western Plains Zoo. We are so glad to let you know we have a new (but intentionally rustic) structure which houses a shower powered by gas and solar with gravity fed water. Showers need to be short because water supply is limited. In a separate space is a gas BBQ and sink. This is pictured in our latest photos. This building also looks down on the Bell river which looks sensational at the moment due to all the rain.

On the Stone River Retreat

Unwind in the seclusion of this private and safe bush camping site on the banks of the Wambuul-Macquarie River in the remote Killongbutta valley located half-way between Bathurst and Orange. It’s a place where time stands still. Enabling you to reconnect with nature as you slow down and embrace the sounds of the river, wildlife and sheoaks when they ‘whisper secrets to the wind’. Many stories and dreamings have come from this place which guarantees to inspire your imagination as an artist, writer, poet or musician. You have access to 100 acres of bushland or enjoy a walk along Killongbutta Road which winds its way through spectacular Wiradjuri country where ancient stone quarries, corroboree sites and a warrior’s grave have been found. Platypus, water dragons and river rats all live in the river. Be prepared to share the site with wombats who have burrowed their homes into the banks. Road access to site is suitable for 2WD in dry weather. It is a short, steep drop with two tight corners not suitable for large caravans and RVs. The site has a newly constructed long drop toilet, pets are allowed and firewood can be foraged around the site but best to bring your own to ensure you have enough. Please take all rubbish with you. Please note: Kids under 12 are free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please still add them to the booking as they will not be charged.
