Our stay at Lyndon Hill was absolutely amazing and one we will never forget. The Bull Paddock was stunning, such a beautiful, picturesque farm and only less than 10 minutes from the heart of Orange.
Sam and her son Will were incredibly welcoming, friendly and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. You can instantly see how much love and passion Sam has for the farm, and meeting Will was a highlight in itself. His knowledge, care and passion for the cattle was so impressive, and it was wonderful to meet such a hard working and respectful young man.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was getting up close with the Highland cows and Herefords. Being able to feed, brush and pat them was such an unforgettable experience and something we truly appreciated. Sam and Will were so happy to share their knowledge with us, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and educational.
With bad weather forecast, Sam kindly offered for us to set up under the hay shed, which we were incredibly grateful for and it turned out to be perfect.
To top it all off, Sam baked us the best sourdough bread and we also purchased fresh farm eggs which were amazing.
We loved absolutely everything about our stay and cannot recommend Lyndon Hill highly enough. If you are looking for a relaxing farm stay with beautiful hosts, incredible animals and a truly authentic experience, this is the place to stay.

This site is a lovely spot next to a little dam and a beautiful old tree. There was lots of wood provided. Minor downsides would be the slight slant of the site and some background noise from a distant highway. We flew over the site with a small plane also and took an aerial shot.

We had a wonderful time visiting Lyndon Hill. A very warm welcome from the hosts, and were happy to extend our stay. Peaceful and quiet and very close to town for supplies.
Beautiful scenery and very relaxing. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful time at Lyndon Hill. We were met by the friendly, kind and tentative hosts on arrival and shown to our Bull ring location, Nestled in a private location with a huge fire pitt.
We had pre ordered a wheelbarrow of wood and farm fresh eggs which were waiting for us.
Sam even gave us some of her home made sourdough which was absolutely delicious.
We had the most relaxed and wonderful stay here, i really enjoyed the highland cow experience where we got to groom the baby highland cows, highly recommend. Sam and Will are very knowledgeable and share this with you which is wonderful.
We bought our little sausage dog with us and he had an absolute ball.
We will definitely be returning to Lyndon Hill it is a big 10/10 from us

Sam welcomed us with a warm greeting allowing us time to decide where we wanted to park the van. It was the calm, relaxing few days we needed after our caravan park stay. We got to briefly meet the gorgeous hyland cows, and although the experience wasn’t within our budget, we love that there is the opportunity to do this as well as purchase fresh farm eggs or sourdough. Beautifully kept property and well managed Hipcamp. We were so happy.

Sam was very generous with her time and knowledge. Can recommend the sourdough!
We even had a swim in the dam and picked some blackberries! Would highly recommend this site!

Lyndon Hill is a great spot for camping!
We loved the Highland Cow experience and also paddle boarding on the dam.
Sam was so welcoming and made sure we were well settled and comfortable.
We would 100% recommend staying here.

Our stay was only an overnight stay but our host was fantastic and we very much enjoyed the home baked sourdough bread that was available. All in all a very pleasant experience and happy to recommend them on.

Awesome spot with a nice view. Sam and her family are very friendly and generous with their berries, sourdough, eggs and homemade greek yoghurt. We loved meeting the cows too! Very easy access into Orange.

Our preference for camping , even one night, is a little more secluded and private, we have 270 awning and an awning tent off the ute. a site that is more level suits our purposes better. The aspect was toward the adjacent vineyard and highway, we did choose the sight initially because of proximity to highway as a quick stop on the trip north.. In the end after a full day driving and with the weather very windy and possible storm, we continued and found a motel for the night. The weather was the primary decision not to stay.

Fantastic stay, Sam and her family were very welcoming and helpful right from our arrival with suggestions of activities in the area, all of which were great.
We had a tour of their beautiful property including their garden full of fresh produce, we purchased some sourdough and eggs for breaky which was perfect and the cow experience was so good with the Highlands and the beautiful Hereford cows.
Nothing was a problem for Sam or her two kids who helped out and ran us through the cow experience and showed our kids around.
Would 100% recommend.

Definitely will be coming back. Hospitality, good food and plenty of knowledge on the cows was provided by Sam and her family who have a lovely campsite there. Weather was great and I even had a quick fish in the dam. Thanks for the experience.

We had a lovely 5 days at Lyndon Hill. Sam was so helpful with local information and alterations to our booking before we arrived. The family showed us and all our guests to the site and they were all super friendly. We even had freshly squeezed Blood Orange juice delivered to camp one morning by Sam (flipping delicious 😋). The cows were even more friendly if that's at all possible. The paddock isn't exactly flat but there was plenty of room to fit 4 caravans easily (and level). The grass was slightly long but it didn't stop us having a wonderful stay. Only a short drive from town, the perfect launch pad for all the wineries we visited (Heifer Station and Stockmans Ridge were our favourites). Thanks Sam 😊

What an awesome spot! Sam and the kids were so accommodating, met us on arrival with the friendliest smile. We pre purchased hot out of the oven homemade sourdough and freshly laid eggs which were delicious.
Will provided firewood and kindling each day, $30 for a bundle which was so worth it
Also paid for the highland cow experience where Sam and Will shared their knowledge on all things Cow 🐮. We helped brush them and also had a cuddle from Vicky the spoilt girl
The paddock was beautiful and green, plenty of shade, with a great firepit.
Close to Orange and only 50mins to Bathurst. So much to see and do in the area.
Even though it’s close to the highway you really don’t hear the road at night.
I can’t speak highly enough of Sam and her beautiful family.
We will definitely be back sooner rather than later.

We had such a wonderful stay! Sam, Craig & Will were excellent hosts and made us feel so welcome. We were greeted with delicious homemade sourdough on arrival, and Craig kindly delivered firewood each day. The fire was great to sit around each night and toast marshmallows. In the morning, Sam & Will let us and our kids help feed, brush and pat the cows, which was a real highlight. Our family had a fantastic time and we’d definitely recommend this Hipcamp to others.

We loved our time in Orange. Sam was an amazing host. Staying under the hay shed was a life saver with it raining for the first night. We would highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Orange.

Sam and the kids were excellent hosts, the best part was meeting these lovely people and sharing a small part of their story. We opted for the full experience with fresh eggs, sourdough and some Bonnie the highland cow grooming time and it didn’t disappoint. To top it off there was a storm rolling through that night so Sam put us up in the hay shed where we were high and dry for the night. Excellent 7 out of 5!

We had a wonderful family camping trip in the Bull Paddock. Sam, Craig and their kids made us feel so welcome on their property. We enjoyed watching the family work with the cattle, wandering the extensive veggie patch and being given some take away produce. Our dog enjoyed having the paddock to roam around. A pretty outlook across to the neighbouring vineyard. We appreciated the wood pile which we pre purchased and had a terrific campfire each night. A little bit of traffic noise from the road but it didn’t bother us too much. Close to the town of Orange if you forget any essential items or want to visit the wineries. Would recommend this lovely property. Thank you Sam for going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable
