The Wollemi Art Farm

The Wollemi Art Farm is a 100 acre block surround by national park - so your only neighbours are trees and animals. We are only 2 kilometres from the stunning Dunns Swamp. We have several camping areas, which range from intimate to spacious, and can host up to 190 people - if you want to book out the whole place (weddings, parties, small festivals)! Facilities include toilets, water and shelter. It's called 'The Wollemi Art Farm' because not only do we do arty things there (like quests and Shakespeare nights), in time we shall fill the place with mysterious and beautiful works of art - constructed from the rocks and wood of the landscape itself. We have our own trails and views (see below). As mentioned, we run quest adventures (think: clues, a map, exploring, competing against other teams for glory) - get in touch if you would like to know when the next one is, or if you would like your own private quest. I've included some quest material in the photos (more on our Instagram and Youtube). There is an additonal fee for questing. Walks: -Look out for the twin cairns on the north side of the public road, about 100m before you get to the main camping area. Follow the trail to the Summit. -You can also follow the private road up the hill past the main house (turn right off the public road as if you are going to the Spring campsite, then walk past the 'no tresspassing sign' - you are not tresspassing if you are a guest!). Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you see the rocky outcrop towards your right (the 'Souther Heights'). A sign points the way to a cleft that you can ascend. Two cairns mark this spot. Follow the rocky ridge up for several hundred metres. It's a fine adventure. Runs. I'm a keen distance runner. I have a range of runs mapped out. These include a 10km loop, longer runs up to 20kms, various reps, and more. The WAF is perfect for your running group getaway.

Unwind by getting back to nature Perfect for small groups seeking privacy and immersion in nature, this secluded camping site sits on the banks of the Wambuul–Macquarie River in the remote Killongbutta Valley, midway between Bathurst and Orange. Here, time slows. Days unfold to the steady rhythm of flowing water, birdsong and the soft whisper of sheoaks moving in the wind. It’s a place to unplug, exhale and reconnect — with nature, with one another, and with your own creativity. Many stories and dreamings have emerged from this landscape. Artists, writers, poets and musicians often find it a place of deep inspiration and reflection. A walk along Killongbutta Road reveals sweeping rural vistas across Wiradjuri Country —a river valley layered with history, including ancient stone quarry sites, corroboree grounds and the resting place of a warrior. The river itself is alive with platypus, water dragons and rakali (native water rats). Wombats have made their homes in the riverbanks, and you may find yourself sharing the space with these quiet, nocturnal neighbours. Exclusive Access, single site Pets Welcomed 2WD access in dry weather only 4WD access in wet Single Axle vans and trailers only Short, steep descent to the site with two tight corners (not suitable for large caravans or RVs) No wifi or mobile reception Newly constructed long-drop toilet BYO firewood (supplies in the area are now limited) Please take all rubbish with you Children under 12 stay free to support young families wanting to experience the bush. Please include them in your booking so we can plan accordingly. Not permitted: shooting, trapping, illegal fishing, motorbikes, quad bikes or other noisy machinery. Killongbutta Road runs off Freemantle Road, approximately 36 km from Bathurst, and 40 km from Orange via Gowan Road and Lower Lewis Ponds Road. About Us On the Stone is a podcast and publishing studio specialising in social histories. We care deeply about local history and the stories embedded in this landscape, and are always happy to share what we know. Thank you to all the campers who have stayed at our retreat.

With its large, secluded Bush Campsites, 'Chapman Valley' is still Sydney's best-kept secret! Picture this. Your weekend escape is relaxed from the very start - the car trip along the scenic winding Putty Road is slow and leisurely as you know you can arrive at any time for the self serve check-in. After signing in, you meander through this Beef Cattle farm, heading to your own designated camping area. A private corner of the property all to yourselves! After setting up camp, and showing off your awesome (of course) campfire lighting skills, you sink back in your camp-chair and listen to ...the bush. And you see ...the bush. Not a single other camper in site. Oh, except the ones you invited with you of course! There they are. The kids running enthusiastically across the open paddock chasing after their footy, with Buster, the family dog happily nipping at their heels. "They'll sleep well tonight!" you think to yourself happily, as you sink further into your camp-chair and take a long drink on that ice cold beer. 1hr drive from the nearest town (Singleton), "Chapman Valley" is the perfect oasis for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. On site-horse riding is available, offering rides ranging from 1hr family rides to full day experienced rides. Check out our website for a full list of offerings. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL OF OUR BIO ITS LONG BUT YOU'LL GET ALL THE INFORMATION YOU NEED! We are also available for small Weddings, Birthdays and other functions. Speak to us about using us for a working space for corporate or business trips, collaborations and more......... Watton Airstrip is a stunning property, nestled on the banks of the Macquarie River. Featuring an amazing rustic cabin, nine riverside campsites, along with paddock and bush sites, all 4WD accessible and two equally stunning 2WD accessible sites. You’ll share our spaces with kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, deer, platypus and more. Enjoy some optional extras, including Tammie's home made bread, farm fresh, free range eggs, or one of our range of grazing platters, home made jams or hot chocolate kits. Or pamper yourself with a Crystal reiki session, or tarot reading. The 2WD accessible sites feature spectacular views to the right, towards Mt Panorama and Mt Horrible and towards Mt Canobolas to the left. Lie back in your swag at night and let the star struck, velvety sky envelope you, or make a booking at the nearby Bathurst Observatory to see the stars up close. Each campsite offers its own unique features for you to enjoy and a hand crafted pit toilet is accessible to those camped along the river bank. Fish or swim in the river, ride your bikes, or set up camp and then head off on an adventure to the Goldfields at Ophir, or History Hill at Hill End via the Bridle Track. Better still, book into a pub crawl with Damo so you can lie back and enjoy the ride. There are plenty of opportunities for 4WDing and bushwalking in the local area. Fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting). Wood can be collected from fallen wood around the property, or bring your own if you prefer. Pets are welcome for a one off fee per animal. We do ask that pets are supervised at all times and that they do not interfere with farm animals or local wildlife.
