Liberty Plains offers bush camping for self contained campers. There is one toilet available, a portable toilet (if the toilet runs out of soap/paper etc you will need to supply your own. The property offers a large dam ( which unfortunately is quite low at the moment) for kayaking, fishing, yabbying. There is also bush walking. There is a small common area/ shed available with a bbq for guests to use and a table. There is also a shower and toilet available near the main house shed for a donation in the donation box to cover water and gas. If exploring please do not go through any fences as you may end up on a neighbors property. Guests may camp as close or far away from the main dam as they like, camp sites are first in first served. Pets allowed if kept under control, firewood is permitted to be used from the ground only no felling of standing trees, you may have a fire on the ground. Please find your own way to camp by following your map that will be sent to you on booking and the signs that are posted from the driveway on after you turn in the main entrance, no need to meet and greet with host although I may come around occasionally to see if everything is going alright.Large dam suited for swimming, kayaking, and fishing, great for families just looking to relax with a waterfront view, suitable for caravans , tents, swags, 2wd accessible. fishing is allowed but please catch and release for silver perch, however red fin may be used for eating ( they are very tasty) water level is currently low. but still suitable for swimming, price is per vehicle (site) per night.

Really enjoyed camping at Tara’s. Great little dam with plenty of fish which kept the kids entertained. Tara was easy to deal with and a good communicator, would definitely stay again.

Wow what a fantastic place to camp! Me and my dogs had a very peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable time here. I could tell the toilet had been recently cleaned, the campground was very clean too. Lovely dam the dogs enjoyed swimming in and some trails for bush walking.

We loved camping in Tara’s camping spot! Was a nice space even though was a few other campers it felt quite spaced out and all had nice views of the dam and sunset! Tara helped with information on getting to the campsite from her front gate and was signs indicating where to go! Portable toilet was clean had water and soap to wash hands! Heaps of sticks around for kindling for fires! And near by towns with a bit of history to see aswell! Nice and relaxing place to spend the weekend!
