Twenty five acres or 10 hectares of mainly native bushland on the Cooks Gap escarpment. Located on the main road between Mudgee & the Upper Hunter region.
On property, part of the Great Dividing Range, are many bush walks through beautiful native bush land which is home to many native animals & birdlife. Extra beautiful following rain when the creeks and cascades are flowing.
Within short distances you can also visit quaint towns, Gulgong, Mudgee, Rylstone & Kandos who offer many & varied experiences. Mudgee area is also wine country, offering many tasting experiences as well as world class restaurants.
There are also many natural attractions such as The Drip close by.

There are many camping sites available ranging from group areas, for club set-ups to secluded camp sites located within the bushed areas. A centralised area flushing toilet and a caravan equipped with essentials such as barbecue, tea & coffee making facilities and small fridge is available to all campers but for campers taking advantage of the secluded sites, a portable toilet would be advantageous to bring considering distance from provided site.
Dogs are very welcome as they are very much our fur-kids.
For longer stays, laundry facilities & showers are available by arrangement. This little slice of heaven caters to the nature loving community as the native plants reforestation has attracted many native birds & animals. It is only 25 acres but approximately 20 acres of that is the escarpment of Cooks Gap hill. Part of the Great Dividing Range. It is not suitable for dance parties or loud get togethers as this scares the birds & wildlife that comes out at night time.
Oh my gosh what a beautiful experience we had here with our twin two year olds. A true camping trip! First of all Jenny is a lovely lady who will take good care of her guests. Her animals are beautiful and were the highlight of our children’s time, especially patting the horse (Shilo) every day. It’s a beautiful property, we enjoyed walking the trails and has amazing views as it’s a massive property to explore. We enjoyed our fire every morning and night to warm up and there’s an abundance of firewood so you don’t need to bring your own or pay. We also enjoyed some brilliant night skies. The toilets are super clean also.
It’s only a 25min drive from Mudgee which is a beautiful town too.
If there are any negative reviews on this page it’s that person not the place. Just people expecting too much and who should maybe stay at hotels instead. If you are a true camper this is exactly what you are looking for. Thank you Jennye !
We loved our stay at Follyfoot Meadow. Jennye is very accommodating and helpful with directions and local knowledge. We walked around the property and the views from up high were very scenic.
Jennye's a lovely host and very welcoming. She genuinely enjoys having people around - but leaves you alone The site is very cute with lots of fairy lights, little schnickschnack and fire pits. The toilet is clean and tidy.
It is very close to the road and hence a bit noisy when traffic starts in the morning.
Maybe a bit pricey
Great hostess. We camped on the site near the road, which was a little noisy during the day, but no traffic by 7 pm. The site was quiet throughout the night.
A flush toilet was a bonus, but it did need more regular cleaning as the grounds were full over the Easter weekend. There was only one toilet for the whole site.
The proximity to Mudgee was a bonus, and if everyone in the party wants to drink, I recommend looking into the Mudgee Tour Bus Company.
We would stay again if we were travelling to Mudgee.
This is such a lovely spot. Jenn is an amazing host! So welcoming and has put together such a great offering and even a local guide book. We utterly loved our stay and will be back as soon as we can
Had a great time there! The place had everything we needed—free firewood, water, power points, and even waste disposal, which made things super convenient for us. The owner was absolutely lovely and really welcoming—she seemed genuinely happy to have us there. The only downside was the neighbours being a little rude, but apart from that, it was a really good experience overall.
