Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Check in is before 5pm no check-ins after 5pm Campers have direct access to the river which is great for swimming and paddling. Please note that this is a free flowing river and there are rapids and waterfalls in parts, so care must be taken in parts. The campsites do require a 4WD to be accessed and are not suitable for larger caravans. Small of road vans and camper trailers are fine. HIDING IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE! Pure. Unadulterated. WILD. 104 very private acres, securely sandwiched between a National Park Nature Reserve and State Forest. On a dead end road. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) Beautifully maintained camping area we had a huge grassy and flat spot by the river with a fire pit. Appreciated the çlean composting toilet. The swimming hole was deep and had a flat granite rock in the middle of the river that the kids spent hours jumping off. Stuart was an easy going host who offered us early arrival and late pack up. We had a wonderful weekend!

Booked a powered site and directions to the grounds were adequate. Great grassy areas and level ground for our van. Toilet, shower and laundry facilities were very good and clean. Great hot showers. Bug spray a definite as HUGE horseflies/marchflies. Amazing fire flies in the bushes at night which moved out over the camp ground when things were settled. Great covered picnic table areas and kids playground. Very limited to no phone service- wifi on the corner or picnic area but still limited. 5minutes drive towards Coffs you could get good coverage if you really need it but it was great to escape from all that. Only 1 other couple there for our 3 night stay so very peaceful.

Beautiful, peaceful riverside setting. We stayed on Site 2 for three nights with our 21-ft van and had plenty of space. We loved being able to simply relax by the river — the kids were busy swimming, fishing, crab hunting, and tree climbing … made it a great place to stay.
