Horizon Oasis is a 30 acre ever evolving permaculture and organic multi faceted farming property located just outside of Coutts Crossing. Situated 20 minutes south of the historic township of Grafton and 55 minutes north of Coffs Harbour we have the best of both worlds. We are in the country and yet so close to the coast with Yamba beach (45 minutes), Red Rock (35 minutes) and Woolgooga (40 minutes) down the road. We are located only a short 15 minute drive off the M1 freeway and 5 minutes from Armidale Road. Our quiet, pristine country side of semi rural rolling hills and Kangaroo River running along our western boundary provide a relaxing and picturesque place to pull up for a night or 3. You will be enchanted by our local wildlife consisting of a multitude of Kangaroos and Wallabies, abundant with colourful bird life with the odd fox or Koala paying a visit to the block. Watch the amazing sunsets as they come down over our valley displaying an array of orange, reds, pinks and purples as you cook your meal or relax with a drink or good book. Then fall asleep under the brightly visible stars of the Milky Way. Awaken to the peaceful chirping of our native bird life easing you in to your day. Open your blinds to appreciate the morning mist that usually settles across our valley or mobs of Kangaroos laced with the odd rabbit having their breakfast on your doorstep. This property shows beauty at all times of the day providing for that relaxing and back to nature stay we all require to recharge our batteries. Take a stroll down to the Kangaroo River and walk our short riverside bush walk consisting of 3 sandy beaches, vine swings for the kids and small lookout. You will enjoy the scenery and tranquil sounds of the river wild life, or sit back and read a book or take in the country air and enjoy your campsite, or take a short drive to one of our local public swimming holes or the local township of Coutts Crossing. Coutts Crossing township is 5 minutes drive up the road and offers a pub and bistro, live music, hot food shop, post office, general store and fuel station for supplies and a golf course for those keen to hit a ball. The local region is dotted with weekly markets and other tourist entertainment options. You can find a number of public riverside spots to spend the day lazing on a sandy beach and enjoying beautiful swimming holes within a short 5-10 minute drive of the property Although we are always introducing new attractions to our property, it is always a comfortable place to stay and will likely always be different each time you come back to stay. Developments in the pipeline will be the addition of animals, an orchard, a dam and Aquaponics vegetable production which are currently in the works. We currently have 18 chickens and 10 Angus cattle on the property and fresh organic free range eggs can be purchased at request. If you are looking for a nice relaxing and scenic country stay with something new each time you stay; don’t go past Horizon Oasis. We look forward to welcoming you here.

Site 4 is the furthest site from the homestead and the other sites. Site 4 is located at the northern most corner of the property a good 35 meters past site 3. Being one of the nicest sites with its shady green tree and lush grass it is also our second largest site and can accommodate 2 large vehicles. It’s location allows for the best views over the south and western paddocks of the property.

Site 1 is a high and dry grassy knoll and is the closest site to the homestead. Although being only 70 meters away but still has its own privacy from the homestead. This site is the largest of our 4 sites and is situated 25m from site 2. This site can accommodate large and heavier vehicles and has some rocky ground in areas. This site has one of the best views of all the sites being able to see right down our valley and over our neighbouring dams. This site can accommodate up to 2 larger vehicles comfortably.

Open paddock sites.

These sites allow our campers to pick anywhere in the camping paddock (except sites 1-4) and the next paddock down. Although these areas have no defined mowed spots and are located in an area of variable grass heights and are subject to flooding from the creek, these sites offer a more secluded area away from the homestead, chicken yards and street. The open paddock sites are closer to the river and offer a beautiful view through our little valley.

Site 2 - Horizon Parkside Campsite

Site 2 is 25 meters passed site 1 and has a sister site of a very similar size in site 3 only 5 meters away on the other side of a large gum tree dividing both camps. These sister sites are perfect for large groups or multiple families looking to have adjacent sites. This grassy patch with a slight undulation in parts has a great view down the valley and over the neighbouring dams and gets a good view over some of the south western paddocks. This site is suitable for 2 smaller vehicles or one large vehicle.

Site 3 is the sister site to site 2. Being only 5 meters past site 2 on the northern side of a large gum tree dividing the camps, site 3 enjoys a more west south west outlook. Enjoying both the outlook of the neighbouring dams and also the southern and western paddocks of the property. Being a nice grassy clearing with a slight undulation in areas is suitable for 2 small vehicles or 1 large vehicle.

It is a beautiful space, very peaceful. Didnt get a chance to go down to the creek but I loved that my dog could just wander around because the paddock is so well fenced and we had it to our selves. we had a wonderful time

Site 1 - Horizon Parkside Campsite
I really enjoyed staying at Horizon Oasis. The place is so beautiful. The campsites are big and open with loads of space. The view is magic and it is so peaceful. Clint is a fantastic host. I had a tractor ride around the property including a walk down to the incredible swimming hole on the river. There's sites right up near the road (which has hardly any traffic, just a few locals) which suited me as I was just passing through so super easy to get in and out. And there is also a stunning spot further down the property. The property just has 4 or 5 sites too which mean you aren't parked in like sardines like some places. Clint is a lovely person, gave me great instructions on how to get there and was great to have a chat with while I was staying. The cows and chickens and Honey the dog all add to the pleasant vibe! If you want a nice little piece of paradise to stay near Grafton this is it.

A beautiful, private and peaceful campsite. Absolutely amazing value for price of the site and whilst we were there enjoyed the beautiful creek where we swam, awesome stars at night and even a few fire flys! Awesome property and awesome bloke definitely recommend.

Site 4 - Horizon Parkside Campsite
Clint was very accommodating and his property is well presented and sign posted. This came in handy when unforeseen circumstances saw us setting up in the dark! We woke to bird song and light mist in the valley, the odd roo and the sun rising through the trees. Truly a magical place to be able to stay. Very well priced which shows how honest and humble our host is to share his property with Hipcamp users at a very fair price. Our stay was short lived as we were traveling through, but we have put Clint’s property in the bank to explore the area further as there is plenty to offer. Thank you again Clint for your hospitality and we look forward to coming back again soon!

Site 4 - Horizon Parkside Campsite
Hubby, our cat & I thoughly enjoyed our stay at Clint's. Clint was just lovely. The site, while close to the road, wasn't noisy at all. It was lovely to see the kangaroos, and the neighbours cattle. The farm fresh eggs were a lovely addition to our breakfasts.

Site 4 - Horizon Parkside Campsite
We loved our stay here. Clint was a great host especially with our last minute stay. Quick to answer any questions and very thorough with details for the property. We had lots of space over looking the paddocks. Our boy loved meeting the chickens and checking for fresh eggs in the morning. The roos came to visit too. Will be back next time we need a stop over.
