Nested in the Coffs Harbour hinterland is this stunning 250 acre property, offering both powered and unpowered site options and great facilties over 2 campsites. Wayper Creek flows though the property, and there are manicured lawns, a large toilet and shower block with hot showers, a caravan dump point, a large BBQ shelter, firepit, and lots of lovely spots to enjoy the plethora of wildlife. During holiday season we have a second campsite opened, which has lovely amenities, too. We regularly have abseilers come down our creek, as a set of 7 waterfalls is only a 60-minute hike through the creek away. It is a stunning place for relaxation. With limited phone reception. HIDING IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYWHERE! Pure. Unadulterated. WILD. 104 very private acres, securely sandwiched between a National Park Nature Reserve and State Forest. On a dead end road. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities. ACTIVITIES Bird watch. Climb. Abseil. Photograph wildflowers. Paint. Swim. Never Never Park is a Sub-Tropical Rainforest property which borders the ancient Gondwana World Heritage National Park on 2 sides including along Coopernook creek. Located half an hours drive Northeast of Dorrigo and 1 hour West of Coffs Harbour (via Eastern Dorrigo Way) in the beautiful Bellingen Shire, surrounded by various National Parks with 4WD tracks, crystal clear creeks, waterfalls, cascades, swimming holes and picnic areas. The property is 400 acres featuring spring fed mountain streams, cascades and waterfalls that run through its central gorge. First surveyed in 1906 and logged in the days of bullocks and hand saws, remnants of a bygone era remain including the “Jack Feeney Memorial Giant Tallowwood Tree”, a Champion Tree of Australia listed in the National Register of Big Trees. It’s over 50m tall, more than 1000 years old, and was around long before Captain Cook reached our shores. The landscape starts in dense Sub-Tropical Rainforest opening up to lush green pastures overlooking the amazing views to the west showcasing hedge-rowed rolling hillsides and 1600m high mountain range towards Marengo. The local fauna is amazing and quite rare, featuring the locals of the Gondwana Rainforests, Koala’s, Wallabies, Paddy Melons, Lyre Birds, Satin Bower Birds, Glossy Black Cockatoo’s, King parrots, Crimson Rosella’s, Wedgetail Eagles, Catbirds, Riflebirds, Fairy wrens, Diamond pythons, Water dragons, Giant Panda snails, Glow Worms, Fire Flys and many more… including our Horses, Cows, Chooks and Bees. Similarly, the flora is very diverse including Native Tall Hardwoods, various types of Palms and tree ferns, Rainforest and flowering Trees, Vines, flowering grasses, Stag Elk horns and other epiphytes, Crows nests, Mosses, Orchids and more. Amazing spot! We stayed at the site with the platform as we expected a storm and it was perfect. Maryanne welcomed us kindly and gave us instructions. Accessible with 4WD and Optus reception is great 👍 River was lovely and refreshing, beautiful nature around. Super cute Family of platypus living literally in front of the platform so happiness all around. Will be back!!

A beautiful spot with lovely hosts. We booked last minute and took our camper trailer with our dog and 3 year old and everyone loved it. We ended up moving to the western finger because it was a bit more spacious and secluded. We enjoyed a few walks, wildlife, relaxing and the curious and very friendly horses that paid us a visit in the morning. We had an amazing time and will hopefully be back soon. 100% recommend it to anyone looking to get back to nature!

Booked a powered site and directions to the grounds were adequate. Great grassy areas and level ground for our van. Toilet, shower and laundry facilities were very good and clean. Great hot showers. Bug spray a definite as HUGE horseflies/marchflies. Amazing fire flies in the bushes at night which moved out over the camp ground when things were settled. Great covered picnic table areas and kids playground. Very limited to no phone service- wifi on the corner or picnic area but still limited. 5minutes drive towards Coffs you could get good coverage if you really need it but it was great to escape from all that. Only 1 other couple there for our 3 night stay so very peaceful.

My partner and I stayed at the Oasis of Hope camp for 3 nights and were amazed by how gorgeous the location is from the very beginning of the drive to our campsite. The campground is located right in the middle of a lush, green, and vibrant rainforest, with the sounds of the creek being able to be heard from your tent or swag. One of the owners of the property, Donald, even came by on our second day of camping to check in with us. We had a lovely conversation about the area and some exciting encounters with the local wildlife he’s had in the past. All in all, it feels like you’re camping in paradise, and we would also like to mention that the whole property is extremely well maintained. The showers and bathrooms are super clean, and the lawn is cut to perfection. We will definitely be back here in the future and recommending the Oasis of Hope to our friends and family!

Oasis of Hope was just what I needed. A little paradise away from it all. I stayed in the unpowered area by the creek, there were only a couple of other campers on the property during my stay so it was very peaceful. I’d love to visit again.
