"Glendawn" is a small farming/ cattle grazing property with many beaut spots for camping. There are 2 sites with access to power and a few others without. It's a great place to get away but not too far from town. Fire pits and some firewood provided.
We have a powered site in the old Woolshed. The Woolshed has had some modifications. It has a camp kitchen, hot and cold running water, toilet & shower. There is a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, gas BBQ, outdoor fire pit, chairs, power and lighting. Large central area indoors. Its a delightful spot in the paddock to enjoy being "in the country".
The woolshed itself is 2WD accessible. In the winter months its really quite cold overnight. There's a great outdoor firepit and I provide firewood for $10. There's a patio heater too and its 8kg gas cylinder costs
$30. I will provide the first one.
This venue has been popular for families 'plugging in' their vans and for others to roll their swags out either inside the shed or under the stars. Privacy and peace and quiet in abundance here.
We also have unpowered camping in the paddocks. There are a few places with shade near a dam, by the old hayshed, or on a hill with views over the valley, excellent sunsets and a clearing for camping, 4WD accessible.
Children under 12 stay for free on unpowered sites!

"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy.
We have moved our camping area to a new position on “Jindalee”. This area is in a sheltered glade with views out to the north.
There is a clean pit toilet with hand washing water. - bring your own drinking water.
It is a large open space suitable for even the biggest rig. We have camp fire areas and offer a supply of wood, more wood can be purchased off Bob the caretaker.
We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks.
There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all-weather gravel road to the site. Our camping sites are grassy and have a lovely view.
We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit. More firewood can be purchased from Bob, our Caretaker.

Splitters Swamp Creek runs out of the hills, crystal clear water pours over the very beautiful granite rocks - creating a stunning waterfall and a shallow pool at the bottom. It then meanders gently down the valley surrounded by timber.
Visitors are welcome to walk a distance exploring the granite rock formations in and around the creek.
The campsite is located in a very private location, surrounded by a mix of vegetation and tall trees. There is a variety of native wildlife around, including bird life and a variety of wallabies. The native flora is beautiful, too.
In town you will find shops and suppliers for all your camping needs. While you're there, check out the heritage architecture, great cafes, interesting shops.
If you're up for an adventure further afield, the nearby national parks are perfect for outdoor adventures, from bushwalking to swimming and you can take the Boonoo Boonoo Falls walking track to a waterfall that drops 210 metres into a gorge, and enjoy eye-popping panoramas in Bald Rock National Park.

Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s.
You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky.
Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-)
Currently we do not recommend SUV AWD type cars due to there lower profile and vulnerability to bumps and ruts. It is doable many do it all however about driver confidence and add another upto 2hours to trip :-) We recommend parking up the top driveway and having a preplanned lift down.
BE WARNED The driveway and some tracks are rough suited for 4x4 adventure enthusiasts that like to use there pride and joy offroad gear for what its intended.
ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character.
The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers.

This place was absolutely awesome!
Plenty of space and beds for 2 Adults and 3 kids.
We had great time having a splash in the creek and exploring the property.
The Shed had all the cooking equipment we needed, power, fridge, hot shower, flushing outside toilet that was in great condition (no creepy crawlers to be seen).
I highly recommend purchasing your firewood directly with you booking. For $20 we had heaps of firewood to last us the two nights we stayed.
The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back and recommend you check this place out if you want a farm stay with some enjoyable comforts.

Awesome place to relax. Fantastic host. Great fishing. Loved the wild life and live stock. So chilled. Highly recommend. You need to be fully self sufficient and if you want to camp right on the river probably a 4wd and if in a caravan maybe off road one would be easier but never say never. Well worth the trip. Will definitely go again.

What an awesome stay at Nive Camp Sandstone. We were only going to stay a night but ended up staying for 4 nights. Really peaceful, great fishing. Susannah is a really great host. So friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend. Will definitely do that again.

Adrian and oretai were the most amazing hosts. We had an amazing time in an absolutely beautiful setting. We booked the hot tub on the beach which was a great addition to our holiday. Oretai cooked us an amazing Thai dinner and delivered it to us at our campsite which is incredible considering how remote the camp is. There is no phone reception or wifi at the camp which makes it easy to switch off and forget the troubles of the outside world. We will return again and would highly recommend the gorge to anyone who wants to switch off for a couple of days. Even though there is no phone reception, there is still peace of mind as they monitor Chanel 34 so highly recommended taking along an uhf radio. 5 stars. We will be back

We have left on our working trip around Australia in November, we are from a rural FNQ town and since leaving we have struggled to find many remote camping spots like we have at home.
We stumbled across Binghi station last minute and decided to book and glad we did because it’s the best Hip camp we have had since starting our trip.
It’s a beautiful remote station, with beautiful swimming spots, we were the only campers on the station (mid week) and Adrian and his family were super lovely, nothing was a hassle and it was laid back.
We towed our 22ft off road caravan and had no issues and didn’t find the drive in too rough, although we have taken our caravan to some gnarly areas.
We will try and get back and camp at the gorge next time with some friends and our swags. Also bonus point for being pet friendly, which seems rare around NSW, our dog is use to being around cattle, so was fine around the sheep. Thank you Adrian and family for hosting us 😊

We loved camping at Wunglebung.
The scenery is beautiful camping along the river bank.
Heaps of wildlife eg turtles, possums, native birds.
Camp site are large and spacish, so never bothering your neighbours.

We loved the long, winding, adventurous drive into Wunglebung as we descended down into the secluded valley. It truly felt like stepping away from the world—nothing but peace, quiet, and a beautiful river to camp beside, with cows nearby and possums visiting at night.
Unfortunately, we didn’t spot a platypus this time, but maybe next visit. We camped at the Kingfisher site, where the creek was a little deeper and perfect for a refreshing swim.
The rustic country camp showers and toilets were beautifully laid out, with flushing toilets and gas hot-water showers, all within easy walking distance of our campsite—super convenient.
The 4WD-access-only sunset lookout was spectacular and the perfect spot to enjoy a few coldies as the sun went down.
Highly recommend Wunglebung.

Our area was absolutely beautiful. A place you go to relax and take in the great view of the river and hills around you. Toilet facilities great and all you need. Sarah gave great directions to get there. River has lots of rocks but that is a river and you just have your rock shoes on. Very peaceful and serene, top spot thanks Sarah for sharing you peace of paradise.

We just spent Australia Day at Wunglebung.
7 of us camping at the Kookaburra campsite with a caravan, camper trailers and tent.
The facilities were excellent and our site was very private with good access to the river.
The views were magnificent and the cows were very friendly.
Its great that it has been opened up to the public for camping purposes.
Toilet and shower facilities were clean
The drop toilet was good in daylight hours 😳
We have camped in lots of places, and would class this as one of the best. 😀

The site we stayed on was beautiful down by the river, was nice and flat excellent swimming for the kids even tho the river was flowing pretty good. Good fishing caught a fish first 5 min of being there. Susannah was lovely took us down to our site and was verry helpfull and welcoming cant wait till next trip
