Incredible place too stay when your in need for a hot shower kitchen and lively conversations. We arrived to a lit fire and a quick tour of the facilities. The owner John, has an amazing woodworking shed and collection of tools which he will be glad to inform you about if you're interested in wood craft like myself.
Make sure too stop by this amazing property if your passing through, You wont regret it!

John and Cathy have created a cosy nook to enjoy a peaceful camping experience. They’re incredibly kind and hospitable.
Their campground offers some luxuries that can appeal to the glampers whilst also affording those who like to rough it with the bare essentials.
There’s enough space to allow privacy for the introvert but the extension to meet others on their journey is available to any extrovert!
Last but not least, if you’re lucky, John will show you his latest wood working project: a plane!

Excellent spot, very even ground and with the provided fire wood a cozy fire was always nearby. The bathroom and mini kitchen were clean, functional and very nice to have to make the stay more comfortable. I’d highly recommend a visit

What a wonderful escape just around the corner! We loved our stay at this campsite. Amenities are great, wood-fire stove, kitchenette, cozy sofa reading room, hot shower. Much more than we expected. Our host John was lovely and generous… he is also building an airplane!

Cathy’s place is a a lovely place to stop and relax if you are looking to explore Glencoe, Glen Innes and Armidale. Quiet and private, it has the advantage of a bathroom with flushing toilet and hot shower. Plus a stove and fridge. We were the only campers in the field beside the old shed with only the cows mooing in the distance to keep us company. John went to great lengths to make our stay enjoyable including making a fire for us and providing fresh eggs for sale.

As soon as I came through the gate I was welcomed warmly.
I had the area to myself and it was so awesome to sit by the fire and sink a couple beers.
The stars were out in force and it was a beautiful night. Highly recommend.

Great place to camp right off the highway as I was heading up to Queensland and needed a place a bit closer than Tamworth to stay for the sake of my drive. Spot was fantastic, I was a last minute booking but Cathy was understanding and welcoming! John was great he showed me everything around and the things I could use. There’s an outdoor and indoor stove to cook on and he provided wood for me to make a fire and sit outside with my dogs enjoying the farm! It was amazing to have a hot shower and working toilet as well as a warm indoor spot to escape the rain and a fridge to keep the drinks cold.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Such a great spot. Toilet, Hot shower and kitchen. The dog just loved playing in the fields and we had a good bike ride down under the railway tunnel. John is such a great host and really looks after his guests.

Lovely place to stay. Cathy and John were very welcoming. John is a fountain of knowledge. Loved the shed with all the hot water and shower and toilet facilities. John was extremely helpful showing us around. We are very thankful for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place. Fire and firewood was supplied. We were grateful for the home away from facilities.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Quiet and peaceful location close to Glen Innes. Great amenities and to have power and water connections for our van was a bonus. The hosts Cathy and John are the nicest people. John is amazing and very interesting to talk to and is a very talented wood/metal worker, currently building an aircraft. His work shed is pretty much a museum with a collection of antique axes, saws, machinery and other hand tools. The firepit/BBQ area was a great place to relax in the evening. Highly recommend a visit.

Very comfy stay. We were camping in our car and could use the shed to get a dry place. Kitchen and shower worked good and everything we needed was there, I can highly recommend the site!

Host John went out of his way to ensure our every need was catered for and a wealth of interesting information. Private camping area on level sites with view of the rolling hills. We enjoyed the bbq and Camfield at night with wood supplied. Hot shower and kitchenette was a great bonus.

Cathy and John are very warm and welcoming hosts, I was very well looked after, with a campfire prepared with plenty of wood to burn and a BBQ is available if required. There is also a shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen available.
The camp site is very private and beautifully presented with chairs and table and flat mowed grass area for your tent.
I will definitely be back, and happy to describe my stay as awesome.

From the time I made contact with the hosts right through till we left they were wonderful and accomodating.
The place its self is very pretty as mentioned by other reviewers. We were camping in tents & with the facilities provided by the hosts it felt like clamping :)

What an amazing place to stay. Beautiful views of the valley and was tucked around the back of the big barn. Wonderful hosts John and Cathy who as a bonus provide water, shower, toilet and a kitchen. Outside the barn is a bbq and table and chairs to sit and sip the wine by the fireplace. John's museum of axes and more is amazing.

Nice overnight stay at Cathy and John’s property. We got in just before dark and John was nice enough to get our fire going for us while we set up our swag. The grounds were well kept and appreciated the use of the shower and toilet facilities and kitchenette in the shed. Thanks for a great stay!

Our camping at Saffron Park was just great. You are in a paddock on a working cattle farm, with a bathroom, indoor kitchen, an outdoor camp kitchen and a fire pit with supplied timber. You have dinner by the sunset over the paddocks and wake-up to the same vista in the morning, it felt unique.
Our kelpie dog ran the paddock with Cathy and John’s dog.
All of us had an amazing experience.

Amazing stay here, Cathy and John went over and above to help keep us Comfortable and dry when we hit bad weather. Really Comfortable little setup . The kitchen and bathroom access is up some steps in a nice dry shed. We would Definitely stay again.

The site had great view and was dry and flat. The hosts supplied firewood, hot and cold shower, BBQsink with running water spoilt!
Would recommend it to anybody looking for a friendly comfortable and private stay. And there are friendly dogs as well.
