T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. Based near Mount Utopia, Nerrigundah, we fell in love with our little sanctuary in 2020. There are two families Dwayne, Michelle, Robbie and Sharon and their four boys Blake, Taeg, Cooper and Flynn. Campers at heart, we started spending nearly every second weekend in our campers and this lead to many a night discussing what else we could do to make this property a place for others to use. It is a work in progress and there is plenty more to come, currently there is a ablution block that is up near the old house site, we decided it was best to have the camp area closer to the river. We have since added a camp kitchen, large undercover area and two cabins (for our own use at this stage). Enjoy direct access to the river plus more swimming areas on the property. Campfires are permitted. There is some firewood on the property but probably best to bring some of your own. There is Telstra service enabling mobile coverage if needed especially for emergencies. 4WDs are recommended to access this campsite. During the rain we recommend 4WD only. In dry you can access with an all wheel drive. Please message us if you're unsure about weather conditions and your vehicle. Roa is a working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland. The Yowrie Valley is largely surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park. It is a 35 minute drive to the beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away. We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution). Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off. Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Amazing private retreat with lovely elevated views and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. We had a resident bunny, a joey and mum for company in the day, a possum up in the trees at night. We were well settled down in our campervan with access to a power and water point. Hugely grateful to our wonderful host, Kelly who was super helpful with great tips on stops on our journey down and visits at Jindabyne. Thanks to her, I got my first snow experience at Charlotte Pass. Thanks Kelly, for hosting us. We certainly will be back!

Weekend Trip to High Country Camping

Great spot for a variety of campers, caters to those that want a huge big grassy area or others that want a quiet secluded bush camp to themselves. We noticed how absolutely absent of road or aircraft noise, or any man-made noise really. Our camper trailer got through the bush tracks easily and we found a nice sheltered spot from the high winds (big rigs would'nt make one of the sharper bush track turns due to a tree). Huge rigs of any size could find numerous places in the main clearing around the dam/shed which would be perfect for large groups. Incredible amount of easy to grab firewood sets this place apart. Flushing toilet another bonus. We got nice and close to an Echidna too.

Tuross River Camping Nerrigundah is exceptional! We had such a magical time here: incredible setting with lots to explore at the river with lots of fun fresh water swimming, and lush starry nights. The covered area was fantastic for staying cool when needed, the teenagers loved the pool table and playing darts, we were entertained by regular visits from curious goannas, showers and flushing toilets are simply a bonus. We're definitely coming back! Thanks Sharon :)

Incredible, idyllic, mini Eden! We can’t compliment this spot enough! We’ve already booked more time here! Enough space for bikes, sports games, adventures, exploring and more! With high energy dogs and son the space Bea has here is amazing! The camping area felt protected from wind with the trees but still sunny enough for solar. It’s so well maintained, clean and tidy and well signed.

Had a great holiday with the family and dogs at Nerrigundah Tuross River Camping. Beautiful camping spot close to the river with excellent facilities. We towed a 16ft off road caravan into the camp ground. The road into the property is quite steep and recommend a vehicle with good clearance that can manage a 4x4 track. Would recommend to any couple or family that love an adventure and a beautiful Australian bush camping spot.
