3 nights at Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Honestly don’t even want to leave a review because I’d rather keep this place a secret! But it deserves it — and it’s only going to get more popular as they keep improving it. We had an amazing stay here. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help us. Communication was clear and easy from start to finish, and the directions and access were spot on. The property itself is stunning — a gorgeous part of the world, private and peaceful. Each site is secluded and spread out; you wouldn’t even know there were other people around. It did rain a lot during our stay (not their fault, of course!) and access definitely required a 4x4. But the hosts went absolutely above and beyond to help — even spending over an hour with the tractor making sure we could get up the hill safely with our van. We felt really looked after. Facilities were great — the toilet and shower were basic but totally usable, and it was awesome having river access nearby. Our dogs loved it too — both on and off-leash depending on where we were. Bug and mosquito levels were really low, even after heavy rain, which was a nice surprise! Overall, can’t wait to get back. Between the location, the setup, and the next round of improvements on the way, this place is a gem.

If you are reading this and thinking of booking – stop reading and book (with riding and the Troopy Safari)!! You won’t regret it. The experience Shanti and Jingles have created at The Ranch on Clarence is truly exceptional – beautiful stallions cruising around the homestead, and the stunning baths overlooking the Clarence that pictures just don't do it justice!! We’ve stayed at a ton of Hipcamps in our travels and this is by far our favourite – although I may be biased, as we were fortunate enough to pick this amazing spot to get engaged. The horse riding experience was also brilliant but the troopy safari is an absolute highlight that cant be missed! Shanti and Jingles were so amazing – they even popped a bottle of champers to celebrate! Again, if you are thinking of staying at the ranch, book it now! Shanti and Jingles, thank you for making our experience so unbelievably amazing!!

My two teens and I went camping in our swags for one night. The grounds are stunning and immaculately presented. So much space to camp in and good facilities. Kids came back from the cafe and said they met the nicest ever woman working there, and they had a great time kayaking (even though it was raining). Such a great first camping experience and we’d return without any hesitation.

This place was so peaceful and just what we needed to unwind. We explored Kyogle and found great food in woodenbong. Relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. JB was lovely and welcoming and made sure we could always reach out for anything. It was a perfect place for the pups too! THANKS - will be back.

Weekend Trip to Misty Mountain - Kunghur

We had a blast despite the rain. Thank goodness for the shelters some of the sites provided. Beautiful views from site 2. Kids loved canoeing on the dam and the games room was also a hit. Portaloo at the campsite isn't exactly luxurious, but gets the job done. There are hot showers and toilets by the games room though. Highly recommend.

We loved how spacious and secluded Jaya site was and having creek access from the site is definitely a plus point. Our pooch had a great time as she had heaps of space to run around. Jane is a very thoughtful host, she provided us helpful information prior to checking in. We would definitely visit again.

Weekend Trip to Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat

This was my second time at Eagleridge and loved it just as much as the first. Kristy and Daniel are great hosts. It was a bit rainy over the weekend, but it was still beautiful and the fish were still biting. The sites are very private and secluded. The dogs have the time of their life. Will definitely be back for a third time.

4 nights at Misty Mountain - Kunghur

We spent a long weekend camping at Misty Mountain. The camp grounds were all well maintained and had toilets and showers available but our favourite aspect of the whole place was the beautiful views. We did the bike/ walking trail which was great fun, including some more great views. Currently hard to bike round as some trees came down across the track during the cyclone and they understandably haven't been able to get a vehicle round to clear it yet as it's too wet. So unless your willing to hurdle your bike over some trees maybe check if they've cleared the track yet! We loved the adventure of it though and they've managed to clear most of the track. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. A lovely peaceful spot for us to base ourselves to go to the Uki mountain bike park and surrounding areas. Would happily return.

Weekend Trip to "JALUM" Undulating Farmland!

Karen was very friendly and welcoming. She advised us where we could camp and where the amenities were if we needed it. We could camp pretty much anywhere we wanted at the front of the property. However due to the amount of rain we had prior, it was a little boggy in some spots. But we picked a nice spot right near the little dam she had. Did some fishing with the kids which they thoroughly enjoyed. The highlight was watching how excited the kids were to see the horses and alpaca. I would definitely recommend for short farm stay

Shuttlebus available to our wonderful hippy village. There are curiosity shops with very different stuff, and a smoking culture. There is nowhere else anything like it. You can do Nimbin in a day. If you have time to relax and unwind, you can do it over two days, and enjoy the restaurants and cafes. I have local knowledge. There are lookouts with spectacular views. Here there's unusual fruit trees, a trampoline, and a basketball court if you want to shoot a few hoops, weights equipment, and a martial arts dojo if you are curious about learning some self defence. There's a flat parking area for RV's and tents. It's not a big space, so it's a semi social area, and it's possible to interact and relax in the in the undercover area. There's a fire place at night, and a Babakiuaera where you can get Wifi and play cards. I'm a qualified driving instructor, so i know about vehicles and safe driving practices.

The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave & cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ. There are two hammocks and outdoor lounges to spend some time enjoying the view and time together. For those looking for a bit of adventure there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Local attractions include: Whiann Whiann Falls- swimming hole- (5 minutes) Nightcap National Park, including spectacular Minyon Falls (30 minutes) Rocky Creek Dam, which has walks and a platypus trail (10 minutes) Eltham Hotel (15 minutes) The Channon Tavern and monthly markets (10 minutes) Bangalow Markets (20 minutes) Important information: Linen not provided. Doona, sheets, pillow tea towels needed. PLEASE NOTE: This is a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this. This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water. Both domes have aircon. The air-con cannot be left on. They were installed so if you have been out exploring all day and return to find a very hot or cold dome it gives you the ability to modify the temperature quickly. Once the dome has been cooled down or heated up (in our experience this takes approximately 10-15 mins) you can switch it off and use the fans provided if the evening is warm. If you leave the aircon continually running or forget to turn it off and go out you will lose power and the power will not return until the solar has had a chance to recharge the next day. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes and a fan for outdoor use for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the domes have rooftop curtains that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the tents cooler. Guests have access to the entire 120 acre property. There is a gate for access to the paddocks beyond the dome fencing. The gate needs to be closed immediately after entering and exiting to prevent cows entering the dome area and causing damage or exiting onto the main road. You can stroll along the road until you reach the bushland on the far end of the property. We do not recommend walking through long grass on the property without protective footwear as snakes are known to live in the hinterlands region. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. Parking at the top of the property is recommended for cars that are not suitable for gravel inclines.
