Buranga Farm is a small organic family-run farm on 60 acres in the Noosa hinterland only ten minutes from Peregian Beach. The property is largely flat with a hill on the Eastern side and a ridgeline at the very back of the property. There are plenty of cleared open areas as well as a mix of lightly treed and native vegetation.
Site one and two are located on the hillside looking west to Mount Cooroy and are best suited for couples.
Sites three and four share a large open grassed area the flows down to the main lake that offers great swimming. Site five overlooks the lake and opens into a private bush area. All areas of the property are open to campers to walk through and explore.
The farm comprises a series of ponds near the road that are in the process of being renovated for Red Claw Crayfish. There are fruit trees and veggie gardens and chooks around the house paddock. The balance of the land is either grazed by our small herd of cattle and our 2 donkeys or set aside for regeneration.

Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property.
There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river.
We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area.
All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

We’re pet-friendly! Please note, however, that we are a working farm with ongoing activities and resident animals, including livestock and farm dogs, so all pets must be kept under control at all times. Aggressive, disruptive, or potentially dangerous dogs of any type are not allowed — especially restricted breeds (e.g. Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs). Only friendly dogs are permitted, and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if your dog is deemed unsafe or aggressive upon arrival. If you have any doubts, please message us prior to booking.
Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended.
During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

In 2022, we were proudly awarded the nationally-recognised Eco Certification for Ecotourism camper amenities include 2 showers ( on timer as we have limited rainwater), 2composting toilets, and an outdoor kitchen built from timber harvested onsite. We are dedicated to creating a more sustainable lifestyle and sharing our beautiful farm with others. As a permaculture farm recycling is a huge part of our culture so please read our detailed guidelines to waste management for campers.
The farm features extensive food gardens , a beautiful Yoga Barn, and a farm and forest walks. Our campground is close to town, bush walks and cycle trails. Enjoy eco-friendly amenities and a great vibe, a place to retreat in a beautiful part of the world. Visit the animals, discover our veggie garden and observe the many birds part of our ecosystem.
Due to farm commitments, events, courses and retreats, the campground is open to the public only certain times of the year.

1 - CHECK IN is between 2 and 6 pm, for late arrivals let us know your ETA. CHECK OUT by 10 am
2 - ON ARRIVAL, stop at the self check-in area. Register your details.
Find your name and camp site number on the whiteboard. Grab a map and set up your camp.
3 - KIDS should always be accompanied beyond the immediate campground.
4 - Enjoy a SHORT WALK around the gardens.
We kindly ask you to keep the gates closed and not to pick the food.
FARM WALK, follow the walk trail sign around our forest about 30/40 min..
5 - DOGS should be on a lead at all time, we do have 1 designated paddock (not fenced)
where you can have your dog off leads, please ask us.
Our 2 farm dogs are free to walk around the farm and are really friendly.

Your evenings can be spent around supplied fire pits gazing at the stars. We have drinks & firewood for sale, coffee and hot chocolate.
Please note, access to power may be possible to arrange, at an additional cost. If you require power, please let us know when you send through your booking request and we can advise further.
There is access nearby to horse riding, hot air ballooning and skydiving. We are also closely located to Canungra golf course.

We have 24 spacious sites, a couple lakefront and others among trees or in the open. Lakefront spots can’t be guaranteed — sites are assigned based on group size and setup. If you’re camping with others, please message after booking so we can place you together. Please note we have 2 lakes only one is swimmable the other is weed infested. It’s impossible to keep up with changing environmental factors, photos don’t always represent current conditions.
Facilities include:
• Three flushing toilets and two hot showers in the main area with 3 porta loos.
• 2 Porta-loos at remote sites (max 500 m from amenities)
• Firepits at every site (subject to restrictions)
• Firewood available $20 per 20kg bag (no BYO wood) please don’t pre purchase wood on hipcamp we have plenty onsite for purchase.
Access ; Vehicles
Our 1 km private driveway is unsealed but fine for 2WD when driven carefully. Please do the assigned speed limits. You can park at your site once set up. For safety, no joyriding or unnecessary driving around the property. Supervise your children at all times.
Pets ; Wildlife
Well-behaved dogs are welcome under control. We’re surrounded by bushland with ticks, spiders, and snakes — please use tick protection and take normal care.

Swim, kayak, paddleboard, or simply relax by the water. Every site is close to the lake, but not on the lake, scenery is stunning at sunrise and sunset.

Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD, and offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views.
You can bring your own self-contained camping set-up, be it a tent, caravan, or motorhome, or stay in our bunkhouse that sleeps 10. Activities on the property include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more.
From many parts of the farm you have beautiful views encompassing Maleny, Glasshouse Mountains, Bribie Island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe, and Brisbane Port Site.
We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming and canoeing. The property is traversed by several rainforested creeks and ravines, which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing.
We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer a longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding.
We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to anyone with the swag, tent, camper, caravan, or motorhome. You must be self-sufficient, with your own toilet, and we kindly ask you take all waste when you go.
For those who prefer the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV.
Linen is not supplied.
If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View Rd - do not go that way - go through Dayboro Rd.
For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.

This place is awesome, secluded, quiet, peaceful. Sites are set apart from each other. The river flowing, horses and llamas wandering around, plus kangaroos and possums. Great to be able to have a fire, we
brought in own wood but lots of dead wood lying around to use. We tent camped and hog heaven was brilliant. There’s a drop toilet and another one in the process of being built. There was only one other tent camper there when we were there and we didn’t even know until we went for a walk. The drive down to the sites was fun but absolutely 4wd, it was mad! Met Tammie on arrival I had preordered a grazing plate and bread, heaps to eat on grazing plate and the bread was outstanding. We ended up extending another night we loved it so much. Highly recommend watton airstrip will definitely return. Thank you Damien and Tammie for opening your beautiful property up for guests to enjoy

We loved tent camping at hogs heaven watton airstrip. Peaceful with horses and llamas walking around and kangaroos. It definitely is 4wd only the road down to the river was mad! There is only 1 drop toilet but another one in the process of being built by the looks of things. Always awesome to have a camp fire, we brought own wood but heaps of wood lying around. The camp sites were all spaced apart, though there was only another camper when we were there did not see them. The property is beautiful a credit to Damien and Tammie . We ordered a grazing plate and sourdough bread off Tammie, both were amazing. Definitely recommend this Hipcamp we will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the walk through the permaculture farm—so much life everywhere. Finished it off with a great communal campfire and a chat. Kids enjoyed riding their bikes and the large swing. Really nice vibe.

Plenty of space, short drive into town. Gorgeous sunsets from behind the towering gum trees along the Condamine River. Definitely worth a walk along the river. John, who guided us to our site, was a pleasure to deal with.

This is a well set out camp. Large camp kitchen, clean amenities, washing machine, dryer.
We were met by the caretaker he was very pleasant. He also did a run around with firewood, $15 a bag. Everyone was spread around the campsites. We will return. Pet friendly.

Open green spaces with a variety of backdrops to suit all camping setups, but the real standout is the ever changing misty mountain views. Camp 2 and 4 offer the best vantage points of the mountains, while Camp 3 feels more private, tucked in behind the trees. Camp 1 has a small number of powered sites and, while more compact, is closest to the amenities within easy walking distance.
Amenities are rustic but available in a central block plus compost toilets and gas showers located throughout each camp area for those who aren’t fully self-sufficient.
There’s plenty to explore, with space to walk and cycle, and a large dam complete with free kayaks for guests to enjoy.
The staff are warm and welcoming, Jules in particular brings an infectious energy and makes sensational toasties at the cafe in the games shed. The property is well signed, firewood is available to purchase on site (cash only), and communication from the owner and team is excellent.
Arrival is relaxed, drive in, choose your spot, and staff will check you in later that afternoon or early evening.
A quiet, open, and safe space, highly recommend.
I camped in Area 4 at top of hill for maximum mountain views and even though I had 4 days of rain every day, I still hiked the property, roads accessible and my stay was comfortable and enjoyed. I did not use facilities as I am self sufficient for off grid.

We had a great time. Tammie & Damien provided us with an amazing box of meat and fresh cooked sourdough which was the icing on the cake. Very hospitable and kept checking we had enough food. It was lovely to see the alpacas and horses roaming free.
A 4WD is none negotiable it’s a very rocky uneven terrain so make sure you go in a vehicle that can deal with that.
The stars are amazing and the river is gorgeous

This was an absolutely fantastic spot! Beautiful property and we would highly recommend. Instructions were clear. Campsites were a good distance apart and west end was definitely our pick as down one end and a bit more private although the kids also liked swimming at the site “the deep end” as it was a good depth and site had a lot of shade which would be great in Summer. The creek was great for the kids to play in and the dog absolutely loved it. Campsites were clean with a provided fire pit and drop toilet. Thanks Damien and Tammie for a great long weekend.
