Hangar-O

We visited for the Grand Final Long Weekend. We were hesitant as some of the reviews were a bit "argh", but what we experienced was brilliant. Under new ownership, Hanger-O is a great place for families or couples. The pool area was great, the bar and TV were great to watch the footy and have a drink. The trees along the creek offer great afternoon shade and the billabong had people in kayak splashing around. We're not fans of big caravan parks, but Hanger-O is a good blend of facilities and open paddock camping. The new owners are working hard to turn it around and they are certainly winning. Highly recommended!

Unreal place and lovely campsite! I think it’s recently been taken over and the people in charge are lovely. Coffee in the morning from 8am-9am and then the bar is open on the night. Kangaroos and Kookaburras everywhere such a lovely place. The pool is an amazing addition and the toilets are kept very clean at all times. Owners also come round with firewood if you want to buy some (you can also just go and see them and get some) and told us to just leave our bin bags when we finally left and they will get rid of it, little stuff like that makes the experience all the better. The only thing I would say is maybe they need some more toilets available, for blokes it’s okay but for the ladies it can be a bit of walk dependent where you pitch up. Showers also available at $2 for 2 and half minutes, I’m not sure it takes single dollar coins (it wouldn’t work when we did it) so make sure you bring $2 coins. Cheeky hidden gem this is it’s little bit more on the expensive side but it’s 100% worth the money so put your hand in your pocket and come out!

Nice well maintained property with plenty of space. Had the big screen up and the bar open to watch the footy, great atmosphere, staff are awesome, pool was great.
