These falls aren’t called “Niagara of the South” for nothin’! Nestled in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest, Cumberland Falls stands a whoppin’ 68 feet tall and 125 feet wide. If that doesn’t sound impressive, come here on a clear, moonlit night to see the moonbow, one of the few places in the world you can see this breathtaking thing happen! While the falls are what brings the masses to this State Park, you can spend the rest of your day white-water rafting down the Cumberland River, hiking along the sandstone cliffs, or horseback riding through the forest. If you want to take the less-traveled route to the falls, try one of the backwoods backpacking trails that will lead you to Eagle Falls, and while this one is smaller in stature, it’s just as beautiful and definitely worth the trip. We guarantee you’ll “fall” in love with these Little Niagara wonders!
