Just renovated for winter camping! Completely sealed up and draft free. Still a very primitive site, but the interior now keeps in the warmth from the fireplace. A set of bunk beds and a4 seat table as well as some could makes it work for up to 6 people. Plenty of tent area around of you have a bigger group! Sunnyday's farm and forest was a Christmas tree farm in the 1950's. I've owned it for the last 30 years and it is now a horse farm with pastures and woods. Rustic area of 25 acres of pastures and forest bordering a hundred of acres of railroad and municipal forest. Great for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. 1.5 miles from Deer Lakes park which has fishing, hiking, mountain biking, frisbee course and a great playground. The Allegheny river, judged to be one of the cleanest in the country, is just 6 miles away. Harrison Hills park offers great hiking along the river and an occasional river otter. The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and 2 picnic tables.. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. There are horses, goats, chickens, ducks and a pig that roam the pastures. The cabin is about 300 yards from the parking area up a fairly steep hill, but the location is worth the walk! If you're stopping with an RV or trailer we have ample parking near the road and have overnight accommodations for horses Great place for a stopover.

We run a Horse Boarding Facility along with Freezer Meat of all sorts. It's a small Hobby Farm but we love it all the same! Family environment that's down to earth! Learn more about this land: Sites 1 and 2 are for campers/tents. Sites 3 and 4 are tent only spots. No shade. Top tent spots up in field (3 and 4) need a higher vehicle to get to them. A bit Off Road. 3 has privacy with Antique Trailer but 4 is wide open. Fire ring at all of them/with wood. Horse stalls/guided trails available for the campers bringing their own horses. If advanced notice, an hour Lesson or Ride can be scheduled. Our animals are friendly and love attention. Dogs welcome but need a leash. Our Family run Farm is willing to accommodate your needs. This was the absolute perfect place for me on a long road trip, this cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's secluded but the hosts aren't far if you need anything else in a snap. The cabin itself and the surrounding area is so beautiful! It was nice to watch the sun rise from the comfort of my bed. J&T are very responsive, and even went out of their way to mail me a pair of earrings I left there, couldn't recommend this place enough!

This was a perfect getaway with plenty space to setup a tent or hammock. It's also only 15 minutes away from a store if I forgot anything. Kate supplied plenty of split wood, picnic table, chair and bench. The view was amazing and I will definitely be back again!

My dog Teemo and I had a wonderful stay at Jim and Tracy’s A-frame cabin. They really thought of everything when putting this place together. When I arrived after dark, I wasn’t sure I was in the right spot and had spotty service, but Jim showed up within minutes and even started a fire for us while we settled in! The cabin had all the necessities for a cozy weekend — plenty of firewood included, a warm bathroom with a handwashing station, and even a guitar, which was such a nice touch to play by the fire. There are a couple of dollar stores nearby for snacks or produce, which was really convenient. Teemo and I were very comfortable and appreciated how thoughtful and responsive Jim was. We will definitely be back!

This was the most beautiful and peaceful experience! My kids had so much fun feeding the horses and meeting all the animals after our long drive. Renee was the absolute sweetest person and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Very easy to find, well kept, quiet campsite by the creek. Though the weather was quite cold, I really enjoyed my stay at Muddy Myst. The trails were easy to navigate and the pond was beautiful! Can’t wait to come back in the warmer months for a dip!! Can’t thank you enough Liam enough for the complimentary coffee- much needed after waking up in 30 degrees!!! Will definitely be back:)

Absolutely loved this place. My husband and I stayed the weekend to explore the area for our final trip for the year. The cabin was so cozy,we did have our air mattress with us just incase I was unable to sleep on the futon but was surprisingly comfortable. We were exploring most of the time but getting to see and pet the horses was amazing. Thank you for opening your home to us.

This was our first stay at Muddy Myst after looking at it on Hipcamp for a while now! With the state parks closing it was the perfect time to try this place out, and it was amazing!! Nice and quiet and secluded. Firewood was there. It was a cold night and was able to setup my tent no problem and park onsite. Directions to site were accurate. Note there is no phone service there, which was not an issue. Had the best night of sleep Ive had in years.
