Absolute rippa of a spot, not much of a drive from Toowoomba but felt private and secure. Fire pits and firewood were available at the camp, great outback sunset. Host came and said hello on a tractor and was very accomodating, booking was confirmed very quick too so what’s not to like!

Beautiful quiet camping spot on the outskirts of Toowoomba. Paul and Kerry are wonderful down to earth hosts who would do anything for you! Look after their slice of paradise and they'll look after you!! Lots of animals to feed and pet. The baby lambs are so adorable!! Will stay again, 100% recommend!

Wonderful stay! We stayed here for the Tiny House Expo (which was fantastic by the way!) and this location was great because you were a short drive to the middle of town, but you also felt away enough to enjoy the scenic farm escape. So many farm animals to feed and enjoy, plenty of space on your site (we were also there on an off season and we had the place to ourselves so we’re spoilt for choice with space), close in location to showers and toilet, and of course the hosts (Rob) were so lovely and kind. Definitely recommend the Chookhouse stay, and will stay there again next time I’m in Toowoomba!

Great little hidden gem tucked away near Esk with some great scenery and an enjoyable pottery studio. Deb and Tim are wonderful hosts with plenty of stories and experience in teaching pottery. The coffee and Alfy the collie cross was a bonus too.

Beautiful spot!! Paul and Kerry are great hosts. Such nice people. We rocked up late on Friday night and with mates already at our site. We headed straight to site and Paul brought us fired wood the next morning and ran through the farm and what to do in the area. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning everyday. We camped down past the gums right on the fence line, so away from everyone else and had so much room. We got to hold 2 day old lambs and Paul took the kids for a ride in the tractor. Can confirm we will definitely back to Hillcrest.

Stayed 2 nights and loved every minute,lots of space great views and great hosts,will definitely be going back. Thanks for your hospitality Paul and Kerry

We had the best time at Hilltop on Hillcrest. The sites were beautiful, and had old rustic farming equipment around. The kids loved exploring while we were camping. Paul also took us on a tractor ride and let us pat the baby lambs. We had the best time and can’t wait to go back.

This site is lovely, very well cared for and the hosts are great. A few fun things for kids like animals, tractors and bike paths which was great. The site was very affordable but there were a lot of other campers in close quarters. I would happily pay double or triple to secure a bigger patch all to myself.

Loved this place! It was a genuinely lovely place to stay. Hosts were really friendly and warm, views were great, Alfie the dog was a real treat. I love that there are only 4 sites. Any more and it wouldn’t feel as spacious. We shall be back!

It’s a lovely spot and Kerry and Paul are fabulous hosts. Their communication was clear and they always responded quickly. The property is beautiful and we had a wonderful 6 days. The two main areas have a lot of campers in a smallish area but we were given an area to ourselves so we and our daughters family could be away for others. It was perfect for us, the kids and the dog. Having said the that, the campers on the hill looked like they also had a great time around the communal fire each night. Either option seems great.

Rocky Creek Homestead

Yes: Rocky Creek Homestead is the venue for ""Camping with Goats"! Not only enjoy a quiet and lazy morning with a seasonal creek running along the outlook from your camp site, but you will also love our goats, and they will love you visiting, especially our goat named "Squirt", who thinks he is a dog. You will be camping with them as they roam around your camp site. We have 130 acres to explore and welcome caravans, tents and RVs. Later in the day you can walk or pushbike ride the many trails then perhaps enjoy a swim in one of the swimming holes (weather permitting). On dusk enjoy a wine, beer and some cheese by the campfire while watching the goats with their kids play. Mountain bike the many trails or walk around at sunrise to spot the many birds, wallabies, possums and the occasional koala as we are wildlife habitat. Guests are required to be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners' control at all times. We are located 15 minutes from Toowoomba for shopping, dinning and 5 minutes to Withcott hotel or 10 to Murphy's Creek hotel both great country pubs. Children under 4 are free.

Deep Dime

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. Our property is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

Here at 'Waratan Park' in Oakey QLD, we offer a peaceful, animal friendly stay on our 120 acre property, away from the crowds, but close to town, and only a short drive to Toowoomba. Exclusive private site on our 80acre WORKING* property just off the Warrego Highway at Haigslea. *(Please note as we are 1km off the highway there is subsequent highway noise, we are immune to it, but as anything, some people may notice more than others.) We are a working small rural property so with that comes seasonal tractor work/trucks and an element of busy, depending on what projects are on the go! Real taste of rural life while being smack bang in the privacy and serenity of our buzzing property! Private gate access for self check in and checkout. The large campsite is located alongside our 14 acre dam with a pontoon and dam banks to explore. The site is flat and mowed, with easy access from the road for caravans. The dam is perfect to launch a SUP/ canoe out on, float around on floaties and spot some turtles or eels. Great to swim in/ try your luck with a fishing rod, but NO JUMPING from the pontoon as water levels vary and submerged debris/ trees etc. (common sense swimming in dam and water sources.) The pontoon is perfect for evening sunsets (or a sneaky proposal, which has happened a few times already!) ** Please be very conscious of deciding to camp with children in close proximity to an open water source. Safety is our highest priority. The recent addition of our feature windmill makes for gorgeous photos and country feels. The campsite is bordered by seasonal crops. We also have Cattle that rotate through different paddocks on the property, depending on feed and crop cycles. (Not all guests will have cattle about sorry kiddies!) **Pets welcome, but to remain under STRICT supervision. Not to chase cattle or wildlife. ** Our property is also home to the local remote controlled airplane club. Guests will be able to see them fly around of a weekend. You can watch from the campsite but we ask not to walk through the paddocks or approach the club. During weekday stays (and some weekends) you will have the pleasure to see fighter aircraft, KC-30s and the impressive C17 Globemasters doing some low flying and pass overs as we are just on the edge of the Amberley RAAF Base circuit area. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping shower, and drinking water supply. A basic long drop outhouse is set up for guest use. Fire pit and picnic table for use. Firewood able to be purchased as an extra. Please leave no trace and take all rubbish with you. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! We have several peaceful campsites available on our off grid property near Crows Nest. Also a private glamping site with a 5m Bell Tent - with everything you need for a relaxing night away. We are 10km north of the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast and sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest. Bares Hideaway

Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm. PRICE. $25 per night Max 2 people. $10 per night for any extra people on that site. $5 for kids 5 years to 12 years. We offer a spacious and flat grassy area to park your van after a long day of driving. Our campsite is ideal for those who wish to enjoy the quiet and tranquil surroundings while taking in a beautiful sunset, surrounded by an abundance of birdlife. Town is a short 5 minute drive with an IGA, Pub, Cafe, Service Station, Water Station and Dump site. Access to Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and only a short drive to Somerset Dam. Our 1000 acres mountain top working cattle and horses farm is only 45 minutes from Brisbane CBD. It offers spectacular Glasshouse mountains and ocean views. Activities include hiking, swimming, canoeing, horse riding and more. You can bring your own tent, caravan, motorhome or stay in bunkhouse that sleeps 10 with shower. From many parts of the farm you have a beautiful views encompassing Malenny, Glasshouse Mountains , Bribie island, Moreton Island, Stradbroke Island, Redcliffe and Brisbane Port Site. We have a beautiful deepwater lake that's perfect for swimming, canoeing. The property is traversed by a number of rain forested creeks and ravines which are perfect for adventure hiking and rock climbing. We can also take you horse riding around the farm for a couple of hours or to the local winery if you prefer longer ride. We cater for all levels of riding. We have many panoramic campsites for you to choose from. These are suited to any one with the swag, tent, camper, caravan or motorhome. You need to be self sufficient. For those liking the comforts of home we have a bunkhouse which sleeps 10 and has electricity, water, flush toilet, shower, stove, microwave and TV. Linen is not supplied. If you are driving 2wd, or 4wd towing a caravan or a big trailer and GPS takes you through Mountain View rd., do not go that way, go through Dayboro rd. For those without transport Dakabin train station is 25 min from the farm. Pick up and drop off to the station can be arranged. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants less than 10 min away.
