Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. We loved our stay on the property! We were passing through and needed a quiet place to rest. The hot showers were fantastic and the toilets were so clean. The place was so peaceful, and beautiful. Tracy and Paul are fantastic hosts, make you feel welcome and recommend a local pub for dinner. We hope to come back one day and spend more time, one of our favourite stops on our trip!

Great option -highly recommend
Great space - lots of freedom to camp. Paul was great, good for a chat but also gave us our privacy. Facilities are basic, but really hot showers and flushing loos - so a lovely mix of rustic and function. Easy booking and check in processes. Was gorgoues to see the animals wandering around.

Bares Hideaway
The best for me by far. I struggled to leave. Booked one night ended up staying 3. It was perfect for what I needed. Peaceful and out in the middle of nature. Tracy and Paul were fantastic. Tracy recommended the best spot for me that suit what I was looking for and I was just grateful. Highly recommended if you’re just wanting to turn off from the world and be in nature. I am coming back for sure. The outside showers were FANTASTIC!! Best ever

Great secluded location, makes you feel like you are away from civilization, even though there is a pub less than a kilometre away. The driveway is a bit rough and steep, but I got my Mazda 3 in there no worries. Love the way the toilet and showers have been built with corregated iron to give that rustic farm feel to it - yet were very clean and functional and the showers have gas hot water. Great to see goats roaming around during the day. I never actually met Paul, but I spoke to him on the phone and he was very welcoming and easy going. There are also no silly restrictions on check in and check out times.
