This 30 acre property has been in the family for over 35 years and is where I lived my childhood. Now we are running a self-funded Horse Sanctuary and offering camping in a rural setting just a 2.5km drive from the township of Lowood. Our Land for Wildlife registered property has over 30 species of birdlife and many native animals including kangaroos, koalas and echidna. Stunning sunrises and sunsets and all within walking distance of Lowood shops along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail which stretches for nearly 1km along the boundary. Situated halfway between Fernvale and Coominya makes this an ideal stop on your BVRT adventure or is ideal for a quick getaway being only an hour or so from Brisbane CBD. There are 2 sites which are private from each other. ++ The property is accessed by a rough dirt track that is 4wd accessible after heavy or prolonged rainfall due to wet muddy ruts ++ ^^ You must be self-sufficient and bring your own portable toilet/bucket toilet, and all waste and rubbish must be taken with you ^^ ** Please consider a donation to our horse sanctuary - even the smallest amounts help towards horse feed, vet visits and general care 🐴🐎 Many of our beautiful four hooved family would not be alive without people like us who come to their rescue **

Located in the Lockyer Valley less than 2 hours from Brisbane, Mt Castle Valleys consists of over 8000 acres of Australian bushland bordering world heritage national park and Gondwana Rainforest. Stay at a beautiful creekside campsite and have access to over 100km of walking trails ranging in difficulty from beginner level to experienced. During the wet season, cool off in the waterfalls and naturally occuring swimming holes located on the property. Have a chance to spot the local wildlife including koalas, brushtail rock wallabies and a huge range of native bird species. Visitors are welcome to bring their own bicycle and cycle on all established tracks. The Valleys campsite is surrounded on all sides with native bushland. Pitch your tent on a grassy field beside the creek and keep an eye out for wildlife, including koalas, wallabies and a huge range of native bird species. Digitally unplug, with no phone coverage at the site, but retain peace of mind with phone coverage available within a 15 minute drive if you need to reconnect with the outside world. On your way here, consider visiting Pioneer Village in Laidley and the local lavender farm. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are no amenities at the campsites and bush toileting or burying waste is strictly prohibited. You must being a camping toilet and toilet waste must be disposed of off site at an appropriate facility.

A beautiful hideaway with breathtaking views across the Pimpimbudgee Valley in the South Burnett. Camp overnight or for a relaxing week away on a 200 Acre working cattle farm. See our lovely herd of cows, calves and horses and explore our Creek, Rockpools and Dams. Plenty of room to ride bikes or stroll through the countryside. Walk down to seasonal Jones Creek, explore the rock pools or sit and admire the wonderful view and enjoy the peace & quiet. A great spot for birdwatching with 31 species located on the property. Nearby to Maidenwell’s Coomba Falls and a short drive to the Bunya Mountains with many kilometres of rainforest walks. Stone Fire pits are available on all sites. Firewood can be pre-ordered with notice as an extra add-on. Local pub and cafe are a short drive away in Maidenwell. Maidenwell pub does an amazing Pig on the Spit if you are there the last Saturday of the month and great Pizzas! 370m Airstrip available for fly in visitors with appropriate prior notice. We recommend taking a few carrots to tempt the horses over for a pat. We're on Instagram and Facebook as Tinara Pastured Beef - jump on and follow us! Fully self-contained and off-grid campers only. You will need your own water, camp toilet and to take all rubbish with you - leave no trace. Dump points for toilet and rubbish are located in Maidenwell. **Please note our only all-wheel-drive site, Main Camp, is currently unavailable due private use. All other sites are 4WD access only (not suitable for 'soft' 4wd's). Please do not book The Hill campsite unless you are an experienced and competent offroad 4WDér. Anduramba Bush Camping is situated on a 320 acre property south of Blackbutt. The campsite is on top of a hill with 360 degree views. It's rough and remote with limited facilities, so it's not for everyone. Most people who stay usually fall into one of 2 categories - - 4WD'ers or adventure bike riders who would rather camp overnight in the bush instead of at a caravan park or pub - People who just want a weekend away in the bush with some mates, chilling round a fire with a few drinks If either of those sound like you, I think you'll love it here! There's 2 options to choose from - you can book the campsite only, or the cabin which is located at the same spot. Property features - - Great views - Dogs welcome (just don't let them wander) - Portaloo (flushing) + drop toilet (non flushing) - Shower hut (uses shower bags) - Water available 500m away - Firewood available - Good phone reception (Telstra) - 2WD accessible via Esk or Crow's Nest, 4WD recommended from Blackbutt - I only accept one group at a time, so you'll have the place to yourself The cabin has 12V lighting and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), you'll need to bring your own bedding. A few other notes - - be aware you'll have to drive on gravel roads for quite a distance. 2WD vehicles can get here, but a 4WD is preferable - This is not a 4WD park or a ride park. You can also spend time with the horses here with a variety of experiences available as extras and as part of package deals and our flag ship Back in the Saddle retreat option. There are many things to do in Blackbutt as well as spending some time at The Croft. Every 3rd Sunday is our market day, the renowned Blackbutt Bakery is always at your disposal and a great pub for a pub grub night. The horse trails network is 500m up the road and has signage with town 1 hour ride away which I can take you on a ride to on the 3rd Sunday Market Day! I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay. All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area. THIS IS THE AUSSIE BUSH so please if you cant handle smells and snakes, try the HYATT in NOOSA!

A Great place to have your own private and secluded campsite, away from the holiday crowds. 160 acres of working goat and alpaca farm on the highlands of the Darling Downs, only 8 km from the New England Highway. All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas. There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips. We often have baby goats and alpacas that are being hand reared which are popular with kids and adults alike. Dogs are permitted but have to be quiet and restrained. Campfires permitted at our discretion (please ask first - depending on weather conditions). You'll need to BYO wood. Campers MUST have their own toilet. The standard "Pack it in. Pack it out" rules apply. All sites are accessible by STANDARD HEIGHT 2WD however 4WD may be required if towing. There is a 'special' site reserved for Larger RVs and Caravans. Cooby Dam is only minutes away for fishing, Kayaking and canoeing

Weekend Trip to Tinara, 200 acre cattle farm

This is a fantastic spot! We have been here a few times now but decided to come again. We got to relax, take in all the beautiful scenery and pet the horses. My partner also proposed to me… what a fantastic weekend. Thank you for letting us stay once again! ☺️

2 nights at Coobindah Country Escape

I've just returned from 3 days tenting at Bush Camp, and it was a beaut! Regina is a fantastic host, and communication is always exemplary. Bush Camp is easily accessed and just a stones throw from civilization, but it's wonderfully secluded with plenty of birdlife and roos, and gorgeous starry nights. There's a great fire ring, and the surrounding trees are spaced perfectly for your hammock! Oh, and when it's blowing a gale there's plenty of room for kite flying! Cooby Dam is just down the road too, which is a big winner for those of us chasing one of those elusive Cooby cod!!!! Thanks for a great stay😊

4 nights at Dontoria Downs

Love this spot on top of the world no one as far as they eye could see. But I would say you do need a 4x4 the 14ks of dirt road can be a little daunting but it was also in really good condition. We have an old 18ft pop top caravan not built for off road but it handled it well just lower the tyre pressure a little and take it slow. Beautiful spot and great fire pit

Very nice area, nobody else was staying at the other campsite when we were there so completely private. Didn’t see the owners at all but that’s no problem for us. There was a box with info and emergency first aid kit and PLB provided which is a good inclusion for emergencies. Lovely cattle on the property roaming around, nice creek to explore.

2 nights at Cheriton Bush Camp

I loved the quietness of the place and we camped as a group. There was enough space to camp close to each other, a volleyball and basketball court to sweat it out. Amenities were clean and directions from host were spot on. For those not wanting to cook, restaurants are 8 minutes away. We had a wonderful time.

3 nights at Empty Pockets creek-side Farm Stay

Beautiful location. We were upgraded to Valley Views (thank you) and the site was just stunning. Able to witness fabulous sunrises and sunsets. Large flat area with two large trees in the centre and has a firepit. Surrounded by a couple of copses of trees. Very private. It was just us on this trip but suitable for a larger group. Laura's communication is fantastic. We had a wonderful stay.

This is my 3rd time here and each time I’ve had a wonderful time. The hosts are fantastic and the campsites are so far apart you feel like you’re the only one there. Highly recommend camping here.

I just celebrated my 30th birthday here with a large amount of family and friends. If you're looking for a spacious area to camp, great facilities and fun for the kids, this is the perfectly peaceful setting with great hosts. Sam is responsive and everything is clean and well stocked. Short drive from Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich City and Toowoomba, this is going to be our go-to centre point camp in the future when available. Weekend Trip to Tinara, 200 acre cattle farm

We had a great weekend at Tinara. Absolutely no one around. An amazing night sky with lots of satellite spotting. We went for a drive to Bunya mountains and then back for lunch at Maidenwell pub then back to camp to cook a camp oven, and drinks by the fire in the afternoon. A very cool night and a frost in the morning was nice. We towed our 15ft van to the hill without any problems but you would want a reasonable 4wd and offroad van for it. I enjoyed it being a bit of a challenge to get to the site.

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Farm, Camping and Glamping.

Site had amazing views of both the sunrise and sunset, it was really private and the little toilet was well maintained. Was quite windy on one of the days so be careful of that. But we loved our stay and will definitely be coming back!
