Miki was an excellent host and the site was just as promised. She met us in the dark and rain the first night to show us around and let us know of every feature available. The next morning we were given fresh duck eggs, got to hand feed adorable animals, and toured the whole farm. She was worried about us getting rained out and offered solutions which was greatly appreciated! The rain stopped and sun broke through so we got bread to feed the sweet animals a second time and she very graciously offered us wood to start a great fire in the lovely fire pit that evening. It was a great weekend with friends and a great intro to Anderson Island. Highly recommended! We want to come back! Already missing Crackerjack, George, Mike and Ike.

We had a wonderful stay at Four Ewe Ranch! The animals were friendly, the host was helpful, and the campsite was peaceful. We were given drinking water, an outdoor toilet, and more wood than $10 can buy at the store!

My grown daughter & I really enjoyed our one night at Four Ewe Ranch. We stayed there our first night of camping our way south. Directions were spot on (glad she warned us about dealing with a ferry). We were met on arrival and shown around. We camped in a VW Eurovan, so can't speak to a tent experience.
The animals were great fun to watch. We'll never forget llama Cracker Jack (who likes to smell your hair, but not for too long). We had brought a painting project and happily painted while watching the animals for 3-4 hours. My daughter said the ducks & chickens had a rumble in the wee hours of the morning but I didn't hear it.
We had our own porta-potty so didn't use the one provided in a standalone tent down a short (lovely) path. The provided drinking water, a hand washing station, and info on the island were greatly appreciated.
We opted for the additional activity, drop spinning. We've both worked with wool felting, but this was our first attempt at spinning. Miki gave us a wonderful lesson, we enjoyed the spinning, and we made actual usable yarn! Woohoo!
We both wish we had more time to spend on the island and the farm.

Michelle had someone great is when we showed up. She showed us our camp spot. Later we met Michelle. Our camp spot was perfect. It has a little portable camp kitchen for you to set a camp stove on and cut up food. The next day the kids received a specialized tour of her mini farm. They loved it! Out stove failed and she was unbelievably kind in helping us start a fire so we could use it to cook. Minutes from the town store, small restaurant and water. I highly recommend this place and The Old Swimming Hole (2 minutes from her home).

The Hidden Meadow at Four Ewe Ranch
If you love farm animals you’d love it here. Kids have had a wonderful time bonding with the nature and the animals. The old swimming hole is less than a mile away for lake swimming and the kids love the water slide! There’s also a little beach for younger kids to play with the sand.

The Farm at Four Ewe Ranch
This is a family friendly campsite on Anderson Island. Our three kids loved being so close to Michelle's farm animals (chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, llamas). The animals are used to people and friendly with our kids. They also got to see rabbits and turkeys on the farm. The campsite has a fire ring, a table, and a big cooler of drinking water that Michelle fills up daily. The camp toilet is about 50m away, but we used the flushing toilet at the swimming park nearby (a 2 min drive away and very clean!). Michelle lives on the ranch and is super friendly... our kids loved learning about farm life from her. I would recommend this site to anyone with children curious about animals.

So much fun! Our 3 year old was in heaven and our hosts could not have been more gracious. They have built a great little place on the island and we would gladly come back!

The Hidden Meadow at Four Ewe Ranch
The Meadow feels very secluded and is a nice cleared campsite with a great firepit. Michelle was a wonderful host and we appreciated the water station and campfire wood ready at the site when we arrived. The site is a short drive to the nearby swimming hole which was a great all day activity. On top of it all we loved all the animals, including the 2 alpacas and the llama!

Anderson Island is an incredible hideaway. The location of the campsite was fabulous- near the ferry, the store, and the swimming hole. The animals on the farm were cute. And Michele was a fabulous host - even lent us something crucial that we forgot.

We had a terrific time at Four Ewe Ranch! Michelle was friendly and accommodating. There’s a menagerie of animals to meet and our girls loved feeding the goat left over food. Make sure to bring bug repellent. The swimming hole was less than a mile from camp and it had flush toilets. We loved this place and will defiantly stay here again when we camp on the island.

The Four Ewe Ranch is family friendly. The host Michelle (Mickey) is very hospitable. Mickey and her mom provided opportunities for my child to feed the ducks and chickens. They also introduce us to several animals on the ranch. We mostly enjoyed CrackerJack the Alpaca, and Georgia the goat.

I absolutely loved staying at the Four Ewe Ranch! Michelle was super accommodating and very knowledgeable about the local environment. Cracker Jack the llama was a bit ornery but a respectable and magnificent animal all the same. Highly recommended!

Great location! The private campsite was great. Not too far a trek and the wagon was nice to assist. *not host's fault* but the island was not very fishing or dog friendly. We could not locate the off leash dog park and every other beach or park said no dogs. We bought fishing passes for the weekend but when we arrived everyone we spoke with on the island said it was private fishing only.

Michelle (Miki) and her mom were really warm and welcoming. Cracker Jack the llama was notably friendly as well! The camping spot in the meadow was nicely wooded -- note, the ground may be a bit too hard for tent stakes.
Even though a bit of rain led to us leaving earlier than originally planned, our visit was truly a valuable and meaningful experience.

What a fun night! Our very sweet host met us as we drove in and showed us around. We met the guard llama Crackerjack and watched the ducks in their evening routine. After we got ourselves settled, we had a nice time cooking dinner over the fire and had a great night's sleep. The rooster let us know when it was time to get up. We left and enjoyed touring around the island before catching the very scenic ferry back to the mainland.

We absolutely loved our time at Four Ewe Ranch! We were only disappointed that we only booked one night!
Michelle is a great, thoughtful host and was so great with our 8 year old son - letting him help feed and care for the animals. My wife loved getting to learn how to spin yarn and now has a new hobby.
The Meadow area is perfect for private camping once you're ready to turn in for the night. Plus, Anderson Island is beautiful and a nice reprieve from the bustling city.
We will be back!

My two boys and I had a great time! Michelle and her mom were so welcoming and personable and we loved the company of all the farm animals! We loved helping out with some of the chores and learning about wool, how to spin yarn and how to identify plants and berries in the wild. So much fun!

This was our first Hipcamp experience and we weren't sure what to expect. But we're happy to report that Four Ewe Ranch was delightful. The goats, lama, chickens and ducks were content and well cared for. Even the roosters (you've been warned late risers) lended charm. We camped in the meadow, and used Michelle's wagon to haul our hear down the narrow trail through the woods. We didn't need much besides a quiet, safe place to set up camp for the night, and the meadow fit the bill perfectly. I hope we get to come back and spend more time next visit!

This is a fun little experience with a whole plethora of critters to hang out with and see. We stayed in the meadow which is a little off the beaten path so my advice is to pack light (A cart is provided to help ferry goods but its still a couple minute trek through the woods). All garbage needs to be packed off the island so make sure to include extra trash bags and room in the car. Its rustic but if you love the sounds of a farm and seeing cute little animals you'll love this place, it was an amazing experience.

Michelle is super friendly, and so is her llama! Toilet is pack in pack out also, so be prepared to poop in a bag or just hit up the corner store a few blocks away.
We got to see baby ducks, baby rabbits, chickens, goats, and more. Tons of fire wood and fire ring already set up. Highly recommend!

Oh my goodness! Such lovely hosts. Offering whatever we needed. Michelle gave us a walk around the animals. My favorite was Jack the Llama and Uncle Henry the goat. Was so much fun to hear the animals and to walk the little trail going down to the meadow spot. Thank you again for such a great experience!

My stay at the Ewe Farm was absolutely amazing. This was my first experience using Hipcamp and Michelle was an awesome host to have as a first experience. Her knowledge and passion for what she does is very apparent. The island itself was beautiful and easy to explore.

She was amazing and being able to watch the animals go about their business was very enjoyable. There isn't a ton to do on Anderson island so we were "forced" to relax which was exactly what we were wanting. Very quiet except for the animals at times. We enjoyed talking with the host but if we had wanted to be left alone she would have given us our privacy as well. Fantastic place! We will be back.

This was our first time taking our boys camping and we all had a great time. The site was clean and better than expected and the host was very accommodating. We couldn't have had a better time. Michelle was quick to respond to questions before we got there and was helpful with making sure we had what we needed while camping. We will definitely be back!
