This is a PRIVATE location located just one mile off Highway 89 A up a dirt road. The road winds up the side of a mountain. The views are amazing! From the campsites you can see across the valley to the red and white cliffs and purple canyons.
Each campsite has a numbered marker. Sites will have a FIRE RING and SEATING whether that is wood rounds or a bench. Seating from site to site may be moved around according to need. See below for site descriptions:
1- Located at the top of the hill, this site is best for large groups. The ground is flat and has little trees making it very easy to access and park RVs. It is the largest site and right off of the main road. 360 views!
2- Just below site one, this site has pull in parking adequate for an RV and additional tents or pop out trailers. Although it is just below site 1, trees help it feel more secluded.
3- Park at main parking area. Down a small trail, but not far from toilet and shower. Adequate space for multiple tents, but not for RVs. Very close to shower and toilet.
4- Park at main parking area. Trail to site is 1/8 mile and marked, but somewhat uneven ground. One of the more secluded sites. Beautiful scenery. Space for multiple tents. Ideal for those wanting more privacy.
5- Parking at main parking area. This site is down a small trail right off parking area. Close to toilet and shower. Can accommodate a couple of tents, but not RVs. Site 7 is very close by, making it ideal for campers wanting two sites close together.
6- Parking at main parking area. This site is more secluded than others. Located down a trail that is marked and on a very slight downward slope. About 1/10 mile. Located near the end of the mesa, this site has wonderful views. This site is furthest from the main parking area and takes a couple of minutes to walk to. Ideal for those wanting more privacy.
7- Parking at main parking area. This site is visible from main parking area and is therefore easily accessible. Very close to shower and toilet. Can accommodate a couple of tents, but not RVs. Site 5 is very close by, making it ideal for campers wanting two sites close together.
8- Parking at main area. This site will accommodate multiple tents, but not RVs. Down a short trail, it's still near toilet and showers but tree cover helps it feel more private. Awesome views of the sunset and overlooks Highway 89 and surrounding valley.
9- Parking at main area. This site is down a short trail, although still near toilet and shower. The surrounding trees help it feel more private. Great views, overlooking Highway 89 and the surrounding valley.
10- Has parking at site, although it is not pull through parking. Can accommodate trucks or vans. May not be suitable for RV, depending on the size. Has ample room for multiple tents as well as two fire pits. Overlooks 89 A with awesome views of the sunset!
Although it's quiet here, CELL PHONE RECEPTION is good! There are grocery stores, shady parks, a splash pad, movie theater, and a public pool within a ten minute drive. Jackson Flat Reservoir is about a five minute drive away. Kayak and paddle board rentals are available, too!
We are centrally located to 5 national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, and Grand Staircase Escalante). Pipe Spring National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Peek-a-boo Canyon, Coyote Butte ("The Wave"), Lake Powell, and Antelope Canyon are near by too! A sight seer and hiker's haven! Tour Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary, the largest animal rescue in the western United States!
No matter the purpose of your visit, you are sure to find the memories you are looking for. At the end of the day kick off your boots and listen to the campfire.
We don't live on the property, but we are only a few minutes away. We are happy to help and look forward to sharing our beautiful piece of country with you.
*** WE NO LONGER provide tent set up or RVs. Please bring your own shelter. While we provide some form of seating at each site, if you have specific needs, please bring your own seating. Great spot up high on a hill to see some awesome views! Colt had some great recommendations, including the Juniper Restaurant down the hill. That place was DELICIOUS. Thanks Colt! A great spot for camping with all your friends.

So above and beyond happy with our first experience with HipCamp. Colt with Heart of Parks was amazing. We got our truck stuck in sand earlier in the day and I didn't know anyone else to call so I called and asked Colt if he could recommend anyone to come help us. Within 25 minutes he was pulling our truck out of the sand. I don't know what we would have done without his help! Our stay that night at Heart of Parks was so great. Colt had a camp site available with a really nice tent already set up and the spot was beautiful. We would 100% recommend Heart of Parks to anyone staying in Southern Utah.

What a great first Hipcamp experience! The campsite was private, easily accessible, and run by the nicest people. Site was close to state and national parks. Perfect for a weekend escape. We will definitely be back!
Location is great close to everything. Colt is super helpful and is always available to answer questions. Camp site had everything and was really comfortable. Only one thing that I think needs to be worked on is the campground entrance needs a sign that say heart of the parks and an arrow pointing towards the entrance. It would really help specially if you are trying to find the campsite at night. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Both Heart of the Parks and Colt are amazing! Colt went above and beyond to help us out on a very cold and windy night. Okay it probably wasn’t that cold but we are Southern California pansies :). I can’t express enough how grateful we are to Colt’s hospitality. We arrived at night so when we went outside the next morning, we were blown away by the surrounding natural beauty. Although you drive in through some houses, the camp spot itself is pretty secluded. If possible, arrive before dark because it is difficult to find. Thankfully, Colt stayed on the phone with us to guide us to the campsite. We would happily stay here again if we ever find ourselves on this route again. Thank you so much Colt!
Colt will help you out or leave you alone, depending on which you need — the perfect host!
We found our own spot and made our own sweet fire ring — the view is amazing.
He allowed us to use the toilet in the camper powered by solar panels — no one was staying in there!
The cows and the highway quickly become a very tolerable part of the landscape.
Be sure to hike to and along the cliff nearby.
Beautiful, private campsite. There isn't a ton to do in the area but it's a great location to stay for a night or two if you're hoping to make day trips or leave early for a walk-in site at Zion, Bryce, or Grand Canyon. Colt was a super helpful and communicative host and even brought us firewood when we got there. Turn off from the main road is a little hard to find in the dark so recommend arriving during daylight if possible. Also make sure to take a tour of the Best Friends Animal Society while you're in the area!
Super helpful on helping us find the campsite at night, and he left us borrow a tent from him. So we would definitely love to come back again.
