The vibe at Close-in quaint cabin!
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Staying in the cabin was delightful. When we were greeted by the nicest host, his wife and mother. They gave us a tour of the gorgeous property and let us settle in. We took a stroll to the creek and put our feet in, admired all the wildflowers that surrounded us and all the quiet. Trent, the host was so kind and funny. His stories about growing up on the property made you belly laugh and want to hear more! His vision for what he wants to add made us want to come back even more than we already did. He has made this cabin so cozy, quaint and special. There is a cooler for your food, a very cozy bed, linens, some dishes, utensils, a table and chairs and timeless details throughout. So much thought and heart went into making this place as special as it is. The outdoor tub was the best part for us. So warm, cozy and relaxing surrounded by the tranquil forest. We can't wait to go back to experience the warmness of this place and to hang out with the most chill host. You definitely want to meet someone like that in your lifetime to hang with! I can't say enough about this gem of a property, host and experience!
I was a little apprehensive going in because I read some outside reviews of hipcamp about the site not being what was online. But this was perfect! It was exactly like it shows online and Trent was fabulous. Super nice and showed us all around the site and then let us enjoy it but was available if we needed anything. We met all his family when they were tending to the garden. My dog loved being able to hang out outside and enjoy playing instead of being stuck in a hotel. Portland is a really easy drive so everything was very convenient
Our overall experience staying in the cabin on Trent’s property was absolutely INCREDIBLE. We particularly loved the outdoor hot tub and the greenhouse. It was really interesting talking to Trent about the history of the place and his plans for the future. The cabin was perfectly comfortable and cozy, it truly felt like the getaway that we needed. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway close to home for our anniversary. This cabin was perfect for us. The hosts were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Amy greeted us and showed us to the cabin, and later that evening Trent stopped by to heat the tub and offered us some fresh produce from the greenhouse.
Don't miss out on the wood fired tub!
Trent was a great host. He showed us around the property, met his family, and he got us settled into our spot. He provided ice in a cooler and wood for the wood-brining hot tub...which my girls and I enjoyed very much! It was a great get away from the daily grind.
The quaint cabin absolutely lived up to our expectations, and exceeded them. Trent was amazing and so helpful. He showed us round the property, started the bath, checked that we had everything we needed. He was incredibly accommodating and fun! I adored the little cabin, complete with fairy lights and comfy bed. During the day we went in to a couple cafes in Gresham, which was a cute town nearby. Will definitely be back.
We had a great time at this gem of a cabin. All the modern necessities, yet rustic with tons of nostalgic charm. Trent and his mother were wonderful hosts, just like staying with good friends. Beautiful greenhouse packed full of summer produce (thanks for sharing!), private setting and the best outdoor shower and wood-burning bath tub. Thoughtful touches throughout cabin, including moody lighting, tiki torches and treats for our pup. Large property with well maintained trails to explore, including a small creek to dip your toes in. We brought our own camp chairs and cookware, however there is a charcoal grill available (with charcoal) and cute enamel plates, mugs, utensils and a percolator to use. Thank you for hosting us!
Great place for a get away. Glamping at it's best. Trent was an amazing host. I traveled with my two daughters, aged nine and six, and both had a great time. Close enough to everything thing that my girls were comfortable and wild enough that I felt like we were deep away in the forest. Can't beat the outdoor wood-fired hot tub.
Book and enjoy.
