A private sanctuary with 30 acres located just north of Waupaca's Chain O' Lakes with groomed hiking and/or biking trails. Terrain is varied with ponds, hills, and valleys. Shower, potable water, and rec room available. PLEASE NOTE with heavy rain all wheel drive (AWD) is needed to park next to your site. If you don't have AWD, there's parking by the rec room. We can transport you to your site if there are issues. Firewood is available for purchase in addition to a 24 x 32 rec room/storm shelter. Kayaks and SUPs available to rent too! The rec room offers a fun room full of games (ping pong, darts, and other fun games) and a living room area with multiple TVs. We have a kitchen area with a refrigerator (no water) with snacks, pizza, and beverages available. Head into town for shopping, coffee, and baked treats. Or head to the Chain for crystal clear water, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, skiing, or dining at one of Waupaca's signature restaurants. Clear Water Camping has a rich history. The location is where the stagecoach house (still standing) was built in 1847 to support the nearby granite quarry.

Perfect for group camping or a corner of the world to relax and escape. Easy access for vehicles and campers but no electric or water.

Camping oasis

We absolutely love Adam and Jackies property! The campsite was amazing, we had 10 people, dogs, kids, it was a perfect set up! They are so kind and had the fire going when we were coming in later in the evening. The clubhouse is THE BEST, shower and bathrooms, so much comfort!

Highly recommend-so beautiful

I loved tenting camping on Adam and Jackie’s land! Site 4 on the hill top was beautiful with lots of shade. Adam and Jackie were very helpful and replied quickly with any questions I had. I highly recommend this lovely spot. And only 10 min from town and kayaking.

Second time at Clearwater camp

The entire group absolutely enjoyed everything about Clearwater camp and especially site 7. The amenities are so nice for a campground, a hot shower, common area that's very fun and wonderful owners. Overall a 10/10, in an excellent location. The site was even better then the previous year with more room in the shade to pitch tents. A common area with power to charge phones and sit down to take a break from the outdoors if needed. The shower had very hot water which was so nice; when we had an issue the owners quickly helped to fix the hot water heater. We cannot wait to come back again.

Can't say enough about the hosts. Perfect hosts. Kind, and very welcoming. The campground was amazing the whole area was nice and clean. The Porta bathrooms was very clean. The rec room was fun for the kids. They had food and drinks stocked up in the fridge. Just pay for what you take. Prices were more than reasonable. Would definitely come back again.

Dog friendly

This is my 2nd time this year. The hosts are amazing. Garage is the place for everyone to hangout at night or if it’s drizzly. We will be back next year. I have stayed at site 4 and site 5, both are amazing. We brought the dogs this time and they loved it.

Last Hoorah Before School!

What a wonderful experience. The hosts are wonderful and go well out of their way to make your stay memorable. Site 5 was beautiful, with great views and a nice breeze. Dogs had a wonderful time. The garage with games and extras was a plus. Cleanest port-o’s I have ever been in. We will be back for sure!

Amazing place!!!

Adam and Jackie were amazing hosts. We loved the site and they were very accommodating. When my husband arrived with our pop-up camper, Adam parked it with his tractor on the site. The terrain is slightly rough so this made setting up very easy. Everything was very clean including the port-a-potties, shower and rec room. We loved the shower set up too. The rec room was an added bonus as they always had music on and lots of treats to purchase including alcoholic beverages on the honor system. We loved that they lit Tiki torches throughout the campsite at night. The site was very large and had plenty of room. It was a very relaxing weekend. The best part was that we could walk our dogs off leash. We will definitely be back. This is one of the best campsites we’ve ever been too. It was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely amazing!

This was one of the best places we have stayed. Very rustic but very cozy. Adam and Jackie go to great care to make a great place to spend some quite time away. If we are ever back in the area this will definitely be the first choice of ohsna to stay. It was a tight fit to get the jeep and the camper between the trees at site 6, but honestly it made it that more memorable.

Great spot, 4WD RECOMMENDED!

I have a ford conversion van and had a lot of issues getting to and from the campsite after it rained needing to be towed twice. The sites are cool and the community room is awesome, just not for 2wd vehicles!!

This was by far one of my best trips!!! Adam and Jackie were great hosts! Jackie kept in contact with me on my 2 1/2 hours drive up there, had the wood waiting for us so that was one less thing we had to worry about after we set up camp. The rec room is great, decorations were very personalized, made it feel homey. The port a potty was the cleanest port o potty I ever seen!! I will definitely be back!!!

The pond site was so enjoyable! You can tell Adam and Jackie have put a lot of thought into their entire hipcamp. Dry firewood in the pit ready to go, a tripod stand and grate to cook over the fire, kayak available and a beautiful loop around the "river". Heard and saw lots of songbirds and a fish splashed in the water. Steep decent into the site (my car said 12degrees) but manageable for any car slowly. I'll be back!

Interesting camp sites that varied from open to quite shaded. Our site 7 was large and separated from all the others. There was a trail that ran from our site to at least close to all of the other sites. Quite a nice piece of property.

Book the trip!

The secluded hill top sight is by far my favorite spot for a small camping group. They have plenty more larger spots to choose from too! I also loved all the walking trails throughout the camp site! So much better than a state park! Explore the area: Hartman state park includes many trails to walk or bike and multiple lakes to discover! My favorite experience of all time was kayaking to Junction Lake on the Crystal River. This was by far my favorite kayaking experience and my first taste of “white water”. There are plenty more “Chain O-Lakes” to discover here! On our way out we checked out the lookout at Gibraltar Rock in Lodi Wisconsin. This was a camping trip for the books!

A Must Visit for any Hipcamper!

Second time here and it was as beautiful as ever. Communications are easy and responses are quick. All involved are generous and completely helpful. The Sky View campsite is just that a beautiful view of the sky. Night time was such an amazing view of the stars. This year I heard two different owls which is always a beautiful sound to hear hooting at night :)

Epic camping trip!

Adam and Jackie were amazing hosts. We stayed at camp site 7 which was perfect in every way! The land is beautiful with wild flowers, the space was perfect to let our 4 dogs run around, the entire experience will be a memory my 8 year old granddaughter will never forget! I highly recommend clear water camp to anyone looking for a great get away!

Our first trip with Hipcamp and brand new tent campers :) it was everything we could have asked for! We were greeted when we arrived and everything was explained clearly to us. The site was clean and ready for us. The water had algae unfortunately, but the hosts were very upfront about it and it was no fault of their’s. Would highly recommend!

Beautifully hidden

It was private and very secluded. Quiet and nothing but the sound of nature. Everything was green and blooming. Will def come here again.

Wonderful

Our spot was absolutely perfect for tent camping! The entire campground was very clean down to the bathrooms and shower. We really liked how private our spot felt. Adam and Jackie were awesome hosts. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Adam and Jackie are tremendous hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to have an enjoyable experience. Very beautiful and well kept land. Amenities available were clean and useful. Garage turned rec room was a blast to spend time in. Snacks, wood, beer all available for a cheap price (venmo or cash box donation). Camp sites spread out far enough so that other people aren't much of a worry. Adam even took our garbage for us when we were packing up! Really enjoyed my time here, and can see myself coming back again!

Absolutely the best!

Hands down the best place to camp. It’s our new “ go to “ place to camp. We have been there 3 times and have enjoyed every trip there. The hosts are amazing and the sites and bathrooms/shower is very clean. Each site has a different touch to it. Absolutely recommend.

Very Happy Campers

This is the second time we have stayed here and we absolutely love it! We have stayed at 2 of the 7 sites and both have by far exceeded our expectations. From the very friendly hosts, to the cleanliness, amenities and more, there is nothing they have not thought of to make your camping trip as smooth as possible. If you forgot something chances are they have it available for you. I highly recommend camping here, you will not be disappointed. We will be back again and again!

This is a great spot for those looking for a bit more privacy than a large campground but still enjoy some of the amenities that come with one. Adam and Jackie have included many thoughtful touches, such as a cooking tripod, covered tuewodd in the fire pit upon arrival, and a few dispersed outhouses so you don't have to go far. I had to deal with bugs and storms, but that is to be expected in July. While I didn't have another campsite adjacent to me, I could still hear other campers' music and voices, so it may not be the best fit for someone looking for true quiet. It was easy to find and drive to, only a few minutes outside of town.
