My wife and I celebrated our 29th anniversary at a hipcamp near the west shore of Yuba Lake. The RV spots were about 100 yards from the sandy beach, just a 10-minute walk to the shoreline. Though the campsites were quite primitive, they featured level gravel pads and large movable fire pits, allowing us to conveniently adjust the placement of our fire. From our RV pad, we enjoyed a stunning 360-degree view, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The area was private and offered great opportunities for exploration. Our dog loved the off-leash experience and the open range, making it a perfect spot for flying kites or drones around the lake. I would consider camping at this location again.

Found our spot in the dark. Woke up on a quant little lake, beautiful spot to walk and let the kids rip sand dunes with their electric motorbikes. Would definitely return.

The area is beautiful and there’s plenty of space to camp. Camp sites had enough space between them and it’s very quiet. Would recommend for someone who wants tranquility and a quiet camping site. The sky at night is so clear, you can see the Milky Way. Getting there is a dirt road so anticipate getting your vehicle dirty. The lakeside itself is drivable and easy to maneuver.
