Spacious campground.
Parking lot and bathroom is very close.
Showers are private small rooms and small bench, with a lock on door.
Once upon a time it was beachfront, not any more. We drove 20min to north beach.

Stadium seating made of tree. And center fire pit Beach is now 100ft back.

We loved camping just a walk from the beach and felt very secluded and private. Note: some campsites are truly right by the highway. Also, this is a CAMP site not an RV site so there are no hookups or dump stations for your RV. But there are great bathrooms and showers available. It’s perfect if you are a tent camper! The only site for an RV is Sauk. All in all, we loved it!

This is my family’s third year staying here over the 24th of July weekend. We have a blast every time we’ve come out. Our only complaint is that this year we were only allowed to book two nights vs three nights. I don’t know why they changed the maximum number of nights we can stay down to two…but I hope next year we’re able to book three.

First of all, the campsite is very far from the parking lot. With small children and with a baby it was the most uncomfortable thing there is. The bathrooms near our campsite were only for women, therefore with four boys we always had to walk about 500 meters to go to do ... in a hurry! It is the month they rent to families, but they treat you as if you were a young Scout and they are not very interested in giving you some comfort. They didn't let us take our kayaks to the beach making a very silly excuse. What I saw is that the administrators abuse their privileges in the place ... they brought their jet skis, their boat, etc. to the beach, but they made it difficult for us to get off some kayaks ... bad the place and very expensive, since in the state park on the south side (Rendezvous beach) you pay only $ 35 a night to camp in tents or RV, you have your vehicle next to your campsite and it is much more enjoyable and comfortable with restrooms in various locations. Oh, and I forgot to say that fuel was stolen from my vehicle at night, therefore parking lot so far away and without security is not a good deal. Anyway. May you be lucky. I only comment so that families do not suffer the same discomforts that we do. We will not go again

Campsites are in a great location, couldn’t ask for better than these beachfront sites. It is close to the main highway and car noise can get bad during the evening hours.
Camp Host Brian is great - no issues there. His staff could use some direction on how to treat customers. Because this is a scout camp during the rest of the year, they don’t seem to be able to transition between the way they must treat scouts and the way they treat paying customers. Some understanding and professionalism is needed. All their southern campsites are only accessible by walking and carrying all camp gear. There is a road that comes near these sites, but the host refuses to allow anyone to drive on the road in order to unload gear. We noticed however that Staff and their family were welcome to use it whenever they felt like.
Instead they expect you to haul your camping gear from the north parking area, carrying it at least quarter mile from your car to the camp site. It you attempt to use the closer parking area adjacent to the lodge be prepared to get yelled at, condescended to, and made to feel like a burden on the host for even camping there in the first place. Just some common sense procedural changes are needed and it would resolve most problems. The location is great and facilities are decent enough, however the host and staff need to at least pretend like they actually want you there as a customer instead of acting like the camp belongs to them and they are being forced to let you use it.

I decided not to go. I ended up having to go alone, if i was going to use it. No problem, I was going to go anyway but found out you can't park at the campsite.. only by reading other peoples reviews. I wanted to sleep inside my car at the site. I wish I had known the parking policy when I reserved. I would have had enough time to cancel and get a full refund. I forfeited $75.00 for a one night campsite!! Ouch.

Very close from the lake... Even closer from the road! Very noisy and hard to find the sleep, but the place itself is well maintained

What an amazing place! The tree canopy, the stream rolling through camp and well maintained sites were amazing! My family and I had an amazing weekend at Camp Hunt. Hoping to make this a more frequent trip for us.
