Past trip
in Rustic Retreat, MaineErica's land worked perfectly for what I needed -- a quiet, safe place to overnight while visiting family in Boothbay. I'm not sure it would work well for tent campers, but for a van or trailer it's perfect. Loved the bird songs in the morning!
Past trip

I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet of the country after a day on busy beach and highways. Definitely the place I will chose when I return to this area again. Brenda is a delightful person and host, and so helpful with anything needed.
Highly recommend this spot!
Past trip
in LAZY C Mini RV Park/Campground, WashingtonThis is my favorite HipCamp ever!! Beautiful, peaceful, and awesome hosts! Brian & Colleen went above and beyond kindness. They brought me delicious fresh carrots from their garden and even picked up a package for me on their trip to town. Everything was created for a wonderful stress-free stay, including great communication! Really enjoyed staying at their piece of paradise and meeting them. Can’t wait to see the finished bathroom and camping areas. I’m looking forward to a return visit!!
Past trip

Gold mining fun @ LONESTAR Goldmine
in Lonestar Goldmine. Rest & Relax, CaliforniaPrivate, beautiful & alot of effort
Sonja M.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
CONS:
1) Broken gate -- the weight and maneuverability of broken iron pipe gate pushed the limits of these two senior ladies.
2) Severe drop off of transition from pavement to dirt road -- made both sites totally inaccessible for car due to bottom clearance.
3) Trash and broken glass -- whole site needs thorough clean up.
4) Very limited clearance on dirt roads for vehicles wider than 6.5' or taller than 9' -- trees/branches need trimmed back.
5) "Lonestar Mine" sign is missing as indicator of sites. A "HipCamp" sign on gate would be welcomed.
PROS:
1) Exquisite views of Fulda creek -- great proximity to creek for exploration and soothing sounds of water running over rocks
2) Magnificent trees, delightful bird songs, colorful butterflies fluttering between blooming wildflowers
3) Absolute privacy
4) Totally peaceful except for trains, which add to ambiance
5) With some TLC and dedicated land stewardship this site would be heaven on earth.
The pros slightly outweigh the cons, but still undecided if a return visit is in the future.

Enjoyed the quiet and convenience of this campground. Loved coyotes howling VERY close! Breanne responded quickly to our questions and was very easy to work with. Appreciated that!
Past trip
in The Meadow Grove of Hands Full Farm, CaliforniaSites are well spaced out and can be made somewhat private by how vehicle is parked. Road noise during the day was more than anticipated, which was the only draw back. Loved hearing the owls hooting. I'd return again.
Sonja hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
