This spot is fairly secluded with minimal traffic and noise. There are some other properties around this site, but they were pretty out of sight + mind for me. I spent a lot of time hiking up the rocky ridgeline that starts at the site (I think I was at site #3 at the end of the property). The view of Mt. Shasta is excellent, and watching the sun set in the other direction from the ridgeline was spectacular. Bring a packable table and chairs, because there is nothing at the site.

This place is truly amazing. It is very scenic and gives you a straight view of the mountain to wake up and fall asleep to. This was my first time solo camping and I am happy that I chose this spot for the experience. When I first arrived I spoke with William over the phone to clarify that I was on the correct property. He was very direct while also super helpful and after speaking with him I could tell how much he cherishes this piece of land. If you decide to choose this place as your next camping destination, you won't regret it. Keep in mind that this is a no frills type of camping spot which means you bury your own waste, pack your trash, and there are no fire pits (don't build your own).

This site was very pretty and had wonderful views of Mt. Shasta. I would highly suggest being careful as I did experience changing a flat tire (on a 4wd truck) in the cold rainy weather. The drive leading up to the site is rather bumpy and narrow and there are very few road markings, letting you know where to go.
William’s directions were thorough, however it would be warming to have some sort of confirmation that you have arrived on site. When calling William, it seemed the tone of our conversation had more frustration as I had called him. I would rather him welcome me to his site. Use caution when calling.

I did not end up staying due to a bunch of squatters being on the land. I had to drive the next town over and find a motel due to it being a holiday weekend. There was an RV and people and cars and a dog on what was suppose to be a secluded area. I called the landowner and he was a bit condescending about it all and argued no one was there. The turn in could be more easily marked with a stripe of paint on the tree or something, and simpler, concise directions. I had to read the directions over and over and over again and I still passed the turn in multiple times which was frustrating.

Starry sky and the view to Mt Shasta were amazing! The description was accurate, and the place was easy to find with the instructions (I searched and saved it on Google Maps beforehand). Conveniently close to the north side trails of Mt Shasta Wilderness.

The site was very beautiful, we stayed at campsite two in a tent for more privacy from the road although there were not many cars. We loved hiking around the area in the morning and if you want to trek your gear in, campsite 3 looked amazing! I would recomend some sort of shade structure at campsite two if you plan on being there during the heat of the day and earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Wonderful star gazing!

This site was absolutely beautiful. Our tent had a stunning and clear view of Mt. Shasta and hiking up on the ridge in the sunset gave breathtaking views of the mountain and the surrounding valley. Words cannot express how beautiful it is up there! The site was quiet, clean, and peaceful. Other than a few dogs barking and the rare truck passing we didn’t hear or see anyone else during our one-night stay. (There was a small campfire ring made with rocks at our site- presumably from a previous camper and not the host’s doing- but we left it alone and maintained the no-fire rule as was listed at our time of booking.)
For those having a hard time following the directions, the camp site is at a left turn 0.1 mile from the T intersection (directions say 200 yards, which our odometer can’t measure). Other than that quick calculation, we had no trouble finding the site by using our odometer.

This campsite has the most incredible view of Mt. Shasta, no one can deny that. We were a little shocked upon arriving just because the description was so adamant about finding solitude and this being a serine, private location. As soon as we got there, we noticed an RV less than 100 yards away with multiple barking dogs. The host had no knowledge of the neighbors even though they have multiple established green houses all over the property. We moved sites but you cannot go anywhere within the property where you cannot see, and more importantly hear the neighbors. The drone of their backup generator and howling dogs (literally all night) was enough to make us pack up and sleep in the car. All in all, this is a gorgeous location but not at all private, quiet or as serine as you would hope.

Awesome campsite! In the shadow of Shasta and a beautiful view of the surrounding area. If you're there in the winter don't forget you're still at a reasonably high elevation and weather can change fast so come prepared! Directions sent to us were long but clearly that way for a reason. They included a lot of detail and pointed out common missteps encountered by previous campers. If you take the time to read them through completely before you get there you really shouldn't have trouble finding the place. The property was clean on arrival (thanks to previous campers and host for seeing to this!) and we made sure to leave it that way. My advice to any headed this way is simply to read the directions and be respectful and you'll have a great time. Site is superb and we had a wonderful stay!

What I liked:

What could be improved:
-Markers to the ceremonial site. The landscape gets a bit hard to navigate around the shrubs especially when there is snow/ice and the
-Maybe a table or fire pit. I feel $50 should entail something more than just empty land
Would I recommend? If you can rough it out for a bit, escape from noise and want to see gorgeous views of Shasta and the night sky, absolutely!

It’s a privilege to be able to camp at this location. The campsite was as described and the view of Mount Shasta is simply majestic. The site is not too far away from Weed or Mt Shasta, where you can find good food and coffee shops. I saw a lot of posts about people not being able to find the campsite but if you closely follow the route instruction provided by the host and refer to the maps, you should have no issues in locating this place. Do your homework before starting your trip and keep an eye out for an email that the host sends out prior to your trip.
The only thing to note about this site is that you need to drive on an unpaved road and it is highly recommend that you have a vehicle with good ground clearance. We had to struggle a bit with our vehicle (Model 3) but ended up being okay.

The dierections to the campsite was a bit confusing for us, but thanks to the host who patiently guided us all the way.When we finally get there it was amazing expectations were met.
It was truly amazing,my family and I really loved and enjoyed the breathtaking view. It’s the kind of campsite i really wanted and i will highly recomend it, we will definitely be coming back not for a nite but more.
Thanks to Hilcamp and William the host for such a gread experience.

Great view in the morning. Felt safe and secure. Nice, flat camping ground. A little clarity on the directions (or a few simple posted signs) would make finding the campsite easier. But enjoyed the stay and would be happy to stay again.

The host's instructions were unclear and difficult to follow; in particular, the reflective marker for night arrivals was either less obvious than the host indicated or had been moved/blown away. We never found the site, and had to make alternative arrangements.

Unfortunately our stay at this property was disappointing due to wildfire smoke that completely smothered the area. We weren’t able to see Mt Shasta at all, which seems like the main attraction of this property. Although it is off the main highway, there are still a number of cars passing on the unpaved road throughout the night. We camped at site #2 and our car, a Subaru Impreza, barely cleared some rocks. If you are passing through the area and need a place to crash, this will do the trick.

Ceremonial site was everything advertised and more. You truly feel like you’re one with the mountain. You have occasional cars that drive by, but no foot traffic to worry about. The valley is quiet, allowing you to enjoy all the sounds of nature. The sunsets were amazing and stars were visible at night. Site 1 includes a few trees that provide some shade relief, definitely appreciated during summer. We were lucky site 2 wasn’t booked, but even if it was, the distance between the 2 sites is about a 5 min walk. This was both our first time camping without amenities but the peaceful setting made it all worth it. We’d definitely book again. Also if you follow William’s directions, you will not get lost! Thank you for the extra details!

Beautiful view of Mt Shasta and the site was beautiful during sunset. However, it is definitely a desert area so it wasn't a spot we wanted to get to too early on a 90+ degree day in August. Campsite #1, where we setup camp, had a couple trees but wasn't particularly shady so things started heating up and getting sunny fairly early in the morning. The directions were confusing, particularly since there weren't very many visual markers on the land itself so we knew we were in the right place. Even just a flag or something around a tree to give us a point of reference so we knew we were on the right track would've been helpful. A visual map so I could then reference where we were via Google Maps or Waze would've been helpful. Campsite #1 is not too far from a main dirt/gravel road which got a bit more traffic than we were expecting given the remoteness of the directions. Perhaps area #2 or #3 would've been quieter but finding #1 was challenging enough and we didn't want to risk potentially taking a wrong turn down a path not suitable for the car. Other than that, it was a nice area and our dog was able to roam around and explore safely in the area, which was nice.

Beautiful views, plenty of seclusion, just read the directions carefully! Remote location, no accommodations available, as others have noted. Beautiful place to catch a sunrise or sunset. The host provides some very detailed directions, but be cautious with using a GPS system. We found Google maps to be more accurate to the camp's location than Apple Maps.

This was a great remote campsite with cool views of Mt. Shasta. A bit difficult to find at night, but the host was very good at answering our call and helping us find it quickly!

Thank you to the host for offering this spot for others to experience, and for keeping the one-reservation per night format. I found it truly unique and unforgettable. Must arrive comfortably before sunset for the full experience. We were lucky enough to be there for the full moon which tracks over the mountain like a chariot of fire in the month of August. Leave no trace!
