Such a great place to stay. I booked it last minute and got there near dark but was exactly what I was looking for and totally exceeded my expectations. Ian was great, had a fire going when I got there and quickly showed me around. It was quiet and incredibly clean and well-kept. I would (and hope to!) stay here again.

in Experience Heaven, OregonWe had a great time - the site and overall experience far exceeded our expectations. David is a great host, extremely helpful, kind and personable. The sites are great, and the overall setting is unbelievable. Everything was clean and well cared for, the provided firewood and equipment for use was a great bonus. We absolutely will be back, hopefully many times.

Our weekend staying at Staley Farm was one of my favorite camping experiences ever. The sites are great and the hosts are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The creek that runs along the campground area was a huge highlight - we spent hours in one of the swimming holes and then exploring our way down the creek, which in areas feels like the most amazing fern gully wonderland.
Staley Farm is a perfect distance from both Portland and Seattle, close enough to amenities but also remote enough that you can rough it as much or as little as you want. The animals they have (which aren't near the campground area) are awesome, their garden is awesome and I very much recommend planning to get some eggs (chicken and/or duck!) from them.
Also worth noting, if you want to camp and not worry about dealing with food, there are a few restaurants in the nearby town (as well as a grocery store...and the world's largest egg).
We will be back and expect to make this a go-to for camping on a regular basis. In the words of my 11yo daughter: "You found the perfect campsite!"
Shawn hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
