Great hipcamp experience!
Sam F.recommends this listing.
We had a wonderful experience here. It was not exactly what we expected but we had an an awesome time and would definitely go back.
The pros:
The site was clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was clean and the water was close. The parking was easy. The stars are AMAZING. (We didn't several campsites on our trip but the stars here blow them all away.) The vibe was chill and although all 4 sites were in use, it was quiet and relaxed. We stayed with our 2 year old son and the site next to us had 2 small kids as well. The other 2 sites had couples. Firepit was great to have and firewood was close and plentiful. The tent was clean and well-appointed with nightlights, a couch, solar exterior lights, and 2 super comfy chairs on the porch. We loved having the deck and shade on the front porch as it was a perfect place to take in the beautiful view.
We did the "fresh vegetable" add-on, which was definitely worth it. One of the hosts walked us through the fields and showed us what we could pick. We picked tomato, cucumber, tomatillo, red and yellow zucchini, and corn -- and then we cooked it all up for dinner and had the rest for breakfast. It was awesome.
There arenât many cons. The only 2 are that:
âIt's about a mile off the the interstate, but because the terrain is flat, you can still hear some traffic noise.
âThe sites are a little closer together than we expected. (To be fair, our first 3 Hipcamp sites were in complete isolation. This is spaced more like a standard state campground.)
Lastly, one logistics note â make sure you use Waze to find "Wildland Gardens" because the direct GPS link from Hipcamp takes you to the wrong spot.
Overall, this was a great place to stay and we'd definitely return and recommend!

Private Beach Farm
in Private Beach Farm, CaliforniaThe best of the best
this place is why Hipcamp was invented. i canât imagine a more perfect place to spend time outdoors. itâs an absolutely a magical location with loads of privacy, private beach access, friendly farm animals, scenic walks and lookouts, beautifully overgrown greenhouses, and a pizza oven. oh and it's 15 minute drive into town. i mean what else could you ask for?
Ohana Goat Ranch and Campsite
in Ohana Goat Ranch and Campsite, CaliforniaMOUNTAINVIEW CAMP AREA
in PTC (Closed), CaliforniaWe were looking for a getaway from Los Angeles, and this was the perfect distance -- just under 2 hours. it's a primitive campsite for sure (no water, no services, no real bathroom) but it's got great views, great stars, peace and quiet, and privacy. We had a nice weekend here. It was crazy hot and there's not much shade so just keep that in mind if you are going on a scorcher weekend. Bring shade or else schedule on a cooler weekend.

Shaded, Meadow Campsite - Great for Larger RVs
in Secluded Ranch Camp, IdahoA perfect hipcamp spot
This site is FANTASTIC. The land and scenery are beautiful and serene, you have abundant privacy, and you are far enough from the road that you barely hear anything except the sounds of nature. Would definitely stay here again. Peter was an excellent host. I have no complaints whatsoever and if you find yourself in eastern Idaho, this is the place to stop and camp for some peace and quiet.

Great lakefront campsite. We were in A10 and it was right near the water. had a great view from our rooftop tent.
RR Starry Night Tent Site
in Sierra Ranch - Cabins & Tents, CaliforniaPrivacy & natural beauty!
This is all you could ask for in a private campsite. Huge meadow all to ourselves. Large shaded area, al-fresco shower, clean toilets. Walking trails around the pasture. Did I mention incredible privacy. We had an a wonderful time here with our son, and didn't see anyone else the whole time. We came in late August so was pretty dry -- would definitely like to see what this place looks like in the spring.
