To date, I've stayed at 22 HipCamp locations throughout the U.S. (including Alaska) and Canada. I have to say Kirsten's land was my best experience so far. Beautiful, peaceful and serene; absolutely lovely.
My hosts, Kirsten and Shawn were awesome. If asked, I'd probably move in with them! Seriously though, great people and a beautiful location.

Past trip
in Breezy Petals Camping Resort, Nova ScotiaA truly unique experience
I stayed one night while traveling through Novascotia on my motorcycle. Yun's land was remote and provides a unique experience that I really enjoyed. I got to have a hot shower and slept comfortably and quietly at my tent site.
The following morning I was fortunate enough to meet Yun, who so kindly took the time to come meet me and have a chat. She is an impressive woman and has a vision for how she wants to develop her land.
Definitely worth visiting if you have the opportunity.

Nice experience tent camping in a lovely grassy field with a water-front view. Our host was there to greet me and was very welcoming. It was exactly what I needed for a night's stop along my journey north.

A short ride up a dirt road brings you to three beautiful brookside campsites. I was the only camper there, so I had a complete privacy and solitude. There was ample firewood available that was very well seasoned and made for a quick-start fire. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Past trip
in B and M Journey Farm, VirginiaI've had a number of HipCamp experiences now and without a doubt Mike and Brittany's farm is at the top of the list of best places. Their farm and the surrounding land is just beautiful. I had a soft, level, grassy spot to pitch my tent and there were practically no bugs at all. The night was quiet and I slept great!
Mike and Brittany both have full time jobs, and I just don't know how they find the time to manage their farm. They have a vineyard, a large garden and make their own honey from the bees they keep. They're pretty amazing people and I enjoyed chatting them up for a while before climbing into my tent for the night.
So, if you're ever near this location and looking for a place to throw down for the night, this is it.

Past trip
Site 8 - Buckinghorse River Campsite
in Buckinghorse River Campsite, British ColumbiaI originally booked this location, but upon my arrival I was concerned about taking my motorcycle over a very widely-spaced grate to enter the sites. However, Howard also cooperatively manages the Buckinghorse River Wayside Provincial Park, located right across the street, so I simply selected a site on the opposite side of the road.
The above said, I found this campground to be absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed my stay for the night while traveling through to Alaska.
The sites on either side of the road are quite acceptable, so I would recommend either.
Past trip
in Fultonâs Pulchritudinous Acres, AlbertaTraveling through on my way to Alaska, this was a perfect place to lay my head for the night. With plenty of soft, level grassy spots to pitch my tent, I spent a very comfortable night.
Travis and his family are just the nicest people. They were friendly and warm and went out of their way to provide me everything I could possibly have needed.
Rounding out my stay was their adorable, freckle-faced dog named Rock. He was just the sweetest thing; I wanted to take him home.
Highly recommend this location.

Camping at R & Mâs land was perfect for my needs. The location was on the property of a residential home, which is perfectly acceptable to me. The site was easily accessible and was clear and level, making it perfect for pitching my tent.
It was quiet, private and exactly what I needed for a good night's rest as I traveled through on my journey.

Dream Creek Camping

in Rostad Relaxation Station, MinnesotaThis HipCamp site is literally someone's yard. They have a few acres with a very private tent site about 250 ft. behind their home on a small lake (pic herewith). It was a lovely spot, but I would have to have made multiple trips back and forth with all my equipment. I was traveling by motorcycle and there was no way to get the bike near to the site. The homeowners didn't mind where I pitched my tent, so I literally set up in their front yard. They live on a dirt road with only a few homes and it was very private and as quiet as can be. The only thing I heard all night was the breeze. It was a perfect place to crash for the night.

Stayed here twice within a week. First on my way North, to Nova Scotia and then again on my return trip to NY.
