Past trip
in Blooming Bus Farms, MichiganNice site, too bad about the noise.
Larry P.has mixed feelings towards this listing.
Melissa is very responsive and helpful and made sure that we got located and set up quickly and easily. The campsite is arranged as a pull-through and was easy for our car and small pop-up. It is a well shaded and private site on the edge of a field. A nice table, fire ring and lighted umbrella make it work well for camping. Unfortunately, our canvas sided pop-up was not a good fit for the level of noise from the roads and neighborhood nearby. Sport truck and car acceleration on the nearby road lasted past 2:00 a.m. on the Saturday night we stayed and chainsaw activity kicked off early on Sunday, so we got very little sleep and decided to leave a day early. If you have an RV or hard shell camper, this could be a good choice, but if canvas is your thing you might want to choose something else. Bring a supply of drinking water too, as the water supply is dedicated to the shower setup.
Past trip
in Mulln-Heim Vineyards, MichiganThis was our second visit to John's campsite and we were just as happy as the first time. The site is in great shape and the dense canopy of mature trees overhead made for a nice cool evening on a hot day. Sunrise over the vines is beautiful too! John was attentive and Interesting to chat with, making us feel very welcome. We'll be back!
Past trip
in Mulln-Heim Vineyards, MichiganNot your average noisy campground!
The Terrace was just as described and enjoyed by other reviewers. We backed a small popup camper into a beautiful shaded and level spot and within an hour we were enjoying the site and the amenities John provides for cooking, relaxing and easy camping. We headed to lake Michigan for a long day on the beach and it was nice to return to our quiet and cool camp. Consider some type of camp shower to make your stay even better. There is plenty of privacy to hang a solar shower outside. Covid makes socializing a bit strained, but John is attentive and friendly, and Interesting! We've already booked for the next visit.
Larry hasn't gone on any trips yet.
