We decided on a last minute trip to the beach and breweries. John had space for us and was in touch with us right up to us rolling into his land. He meet us and graciously showed us our incredible spot for the evening. Staying in the vineyard in a cove of beautiful trees was awesome. John made sure the space was comfortable with chairs and wood loungers around a large fire pit. He had covered the ground with fresh untreated mulch and even had build a small “kitchen” work space by the picnic table. This was all nestled sweetly in the woods. There were lighted kerosene torches and a few solar lights. There were many special touches, but, this was the first Hipcamp that supplied campfire wood for us. What a great touch. We were secluded, but just a short ride from some fantastic breweries, especially Haymarket. We were also close to several beaches and all places we went were dog friendly. I can’t wait to spend more time in John’s vineyard campsite!

Our brief time at the Terrace campsite was relaxing and comfortable. Our host, John, was both kind and helpful throughout our visit. He provided information, shared insights about the campsite, and the surrounding area. He was always accessible should we have any questions.
The campsite is nestled near the Vineyard under a canopy of maple and poplar trees. The trees provided much needed shade and shelter from the hot temperatures. Thoughtful offerings like a camp kitchen area, picnic table, fire pit, and tiki torches are much appreciated and are details that many sites don’t offer. These considerations made for an enjoyable occasion. The ground was well-maintained, and there was adequate space for our gear.
Finally, there was a bit more road noise from traffic of a nearby county road than I anticipated but It did not deter us from having an enjoyable time.

We booked this site for a last minute camping trip and we were so glad we found this spot! John was such a wonderful host! The location is very peaceful and scenic. Camping in the vineyard was such a cool experience. Our weekend at the Terrace was absolutely wonderful and we can not wait to revisit again.
Wife and dog had a great Labor Day weekend camping at the Terrace. Very private and clean. John was a perfect host. We plan on coming back often.
We had an amazing stay at Mulln-Heim Vineyards. The campsite and overall experience completely exceeded our expectations. John is a great host- had very good communication and was friendly and welcoming. John has all the campers needs in mind. We will most definitely be back!
John was such a wonderful host! In addition to the useful amenities, he was very helpful and generous in making our stay perfect. The site itself had everything we needed plus an amazing view of the vineyard. The other people staying were far away enough that we felt secluded. Would recommend 100% as we are planning on coming back!
A lovely spot, nice and private as it’s nestled into the woods. The outdoor kitchen setup was a thoughtful touch and made preparing meals on the camp stove much easier. John is a friendly and generous host. Highly recommended!
The camp was exactly as described, after reading all of great reviews, John the Host deserves every one of those great reviews. You are welcomed with a warm smile and given a small tour of his home grown Shiitakes and he takes the time to provide information as to how the entire process takes place. Awesome information and informative. The campsites are secluded and private. The outhouse is immaculate maintained. Almost everything is there, just in case you forgot an outdoor cooking item. The grapes were being harvested and Ohhhhhh are they so sweet. Do not miss this one for sure! Will be coming back to visit such a gracious and wonderful host!
